I don't usually do much in the way of expensive costumes -- I usually try to fake it from what I already have. I think the most I've spent on a costume is $80, with shipping.

Now that I have the chance to get a really good quality costume, I want to leap at it. So... I don't know. The con's a science fiction / fantasy one (you see a lot of RenFaire type of stuff) and the theme is Pirates: Past and Future. If that helps.
I was thinking maybe Soubi (Loveless) or some random Cowboy Bebop, or Ranma girl-version? I don't know. Only one of those has anything to do with pirates. And then only a little.
