Aw, the white and blue femme stretched out in the sunlight she was glad the Crunch was off patrolling and the Twix was anywhere but where Gracia currently was. It felt good to be away from their stress, being an omega had it's perks and also being the head of pup sitting was easy when there was no pups. Though that thought made the young adult's ears welt a little she enjoyed the happy laughter of the young.
A small came to the blue maw and the femme flopped to one side, basking in the sun on the cliff that resided to one side of the pack's territory. It was peaceful here, and the water was too far down for Snickers to occupy the area so it was like Gracia had her own little spot.
The femme closed her eyes and just listened to the sounds of the waves down below and listened to the sound of nature itself.

Alas wandered with caution into the new pack territory belonging to Crunch and his family, she had not seen Gracia in some time and missed having a friend she could trust. She made certain that she made noise so no one could mistake her for a spy or sneak or any such unsavory thing. Her white lace paws tread with a snap and crackle certain to brush her paws against the underbrush.
"Gracia?" She called out in soft howls as usual her tone lilted in a friendly tone, no one would ever think Alas was a threat to anything or anyone.
She looked around and headed up a cliff towards the sunshine preferring to be caught in broad light then inky darkness.

Her named howled out, the blue ears twitched as they caught the sound. Had I fallen asleep? She asked herself opening her eyes up and looking at the high sun scrutinizingly. No the sun hasn't moved much. The Baby Ruth wolf determined swiftly.
Then again her ears caught the sound of a loud ruckus coming from the forest and sitting up blue eyes twisted towards the trees. A brief worrisome thought skipped through her mind, Has Twix come to chase me off to do something of little use at this moment?
Or at least that was the lone femme's thoughts up to the point of seeing a familiar soft pink and white face. Instantly the blue tail went off in a blinding whirl of excitement. This was the first time since moving into the territory that Gracia had seen her friend. Bounding up to her feet and spinning around in the air, the omega padding quickly over to her friend.
"ALAS!" she yipped happily, "How have you been?"

With a smile Alas bounded forward to greet her friend, her tail whipped into a white and pink frenzy. She was so happy to have some happy company, not living with glances over her shoulder and gathering concerns. She could relax in the presence of sweet natured Gracia.
"Gracia! Oh how I've missed you, seems your here to stay though?" she sat down and gave her friend a happy nuzzle.
"Things have been somewhat smooth in my pack...lots of new faces joining..." Her tone failed to brighten at that, more wolves meant more of those she couldn't trust, or could she? Alas felt silly seeing wickedness everywhere around her when for so long she had lived with a rose colored view that there was good in everyone and everything.
Her attention snapped back to her friend and her smile widened. "How have you been?"

Feeling the nuzzle and returning it happily was the least that the good natured omega could do. But like most others, Gracia could tell that her friend was down and seemingly depressed. Her ears welted at this recognizability.
"You don't sound so happy about the new faces. What's wrong Alas?" the happy nuzzle became a worried nudge. "You can talk to me. I may not have alot of power in ranking, but I'm a good listener." The soft motherly blue eyes rolled at the thought, Just ask Snickers. Someone had to listen to his complaints and speech about how 'good' looking he was.
Then she recalled Alas's question, "I've been doing fine. The new territory allows a lot of space for all of us to actually enjoy and still socialize. But I'm concerned about Crunch he seems more distant then his normal self." Her head also bobbed, "And I do believe we're planning to stay here for a very long time." A soft smile appeared, but disappeared as she awaited her friends reply.

Alas gave a soft smile at her friends instant reaction, the omega knew better than to accept her masquerade. She moved to lay down to relax with Gracia and talk to her hopefully of happier news as well once she had explained the cause of her trouble.
"New faces are always nice but...I'm worried about things in the pack. Twist is a young alpha she's headstrong." Alas took a deep breath and tried to remember to show Twist in a more favorable light.
"It's not her fault really, theres this lynx and she's evil and tricky...shes getting away with turning the pack against Twist somehow, controlling her and them. I just...don't know who in my own pack I can trust, who might be brainwashed? The more of them that come the more paranoid I feel!" She looked down.
"I've never felt so suspicious or sneaky before..." She shook her head with regret and gazed up at Gracia.
"I'm glad your near though my friend." She gave a genuine smile before tilting her head curiously. "Crunch more distant?" She hoped it wasn't because of her an her lessons, she still remembered how close she had been to seeing a smile from him, a relaxed playful state. Perhaps though it had been a figment of her imagination, perhaps Crunch just couldn't relax or smile. She held back a snort at that, everyone could smile, how dare she let herself be cynical.

Gracia sat down before her friend and looked at her. She had learned how to read others easily from puppy-hood and already seeing such a similarity between Alas's and her own persona it made it easier to identify turmoil. Listening intently to what the pink and white lacy wolfess had to say.
Talk of the adjacent pack's alpha being so headstrong didn't seem to out of the ordinary for Gracia, but then again she had always lived under Crunch's shadow. Though the words of a tricky feline corrupting the pack members for her own uses and turning them on the alpha was a shock to the blue femme. Gracia's jaw dropped and her eyes widened.
"Even young, how did your alpha...Twist, allow such a thing to happen? I know Crunch would find out who was loyal to him and plan a strike force to be rid his land of such a foul creature." Not exactly Gracia's normal tone of voice, but after that little spew her tone returned to normal. The shock was still evident in her body stature though.
Sadness came to the light blue eyes along with a tenderness for sympathy to her friend. "I can't imagine such a feeling." Then an idea popped into the Baby Ruth wolfess, "Alas stay in Akiiki Chibale's, our new pack name, territory for a few days. You look exhausted and I'm sure your getting sick of sleeping with one eye open. Rest here, I'm sure Crunch wont have a problem with it and he trumps my sister's opinions any day." The blue nose nuzzled into the pink neck as if it was a show of affection to a close relative.
The Blue and white female looked to her friend and smiled at the statement, "I'm glad I can be of some help, if you ever need anyone to talk to find me here." Then the restatement of Crunch's odd behavior came next.
"I don't know, he isn't acting the same either. I'm just a bit concerned, I mean he has allowed Snickers to slack on his hunting duties and just so I don't hear Twix, I clean out the den regularly. But my brother just seems to be preoccupied with various thoughts." she shrugged her shoulders as this statement of her alpha's attitude shift. "Maybe he is sick or something I don't know but before he could detect me one day I followed him to a small clearing. But don't ask me what he was doing, I bailed before the wind turned against me."

Alas happily leaned close to her friend content to share her worries with someone who would understand. She gave Gracia an affectionate nuzzle in return and nodded softly.
"Yes perhaps I'll stick around or have some rest near these lands...I just feel...uneasy...I don't understand why we can't be rid of that lynx, but I'll stand by Twist if she needs me too...I'm just not sure who else in the pack I should be helping..." She sighed.
She listened again intently as Gracia spoke of Crunch, had she upset him in their training? Was he sick? Perhaps she had injured him? She doubted she could have really hurt the large alpha, but one never knew where or when the body could decide to be fragile.
"I'm sure he'll be okay...he seems very..." she flushed and cleared her throat trying to find an appropriate word "together."

"Only the dead can tell us why things go as they proceed, I think our ancestors have a paw in most of the happening in our life. Though we can mold our lives just the same." Gracia rambled, but then again she felt that the ancestors did have some assistance to the living during certain times.
The blue maw gave way to another smile, "I'm glad to hear we can at least give you a place to rest." Moments passed by as Libenalas seemed to think about something. Gracia's blue ears perked and her lighter eyes moved across her friend's face.
She couldn't read thought and at this moment she couldn't figure out was the suddenly distant look in her friend's eyes meant. The reading was cut off the moment Alas spoke reassuring of Gracia's older brother. A single nod was all that the female gave before speaking, "You're right, I'm sure he just wanted to get back on patrol."

"I only hope I'm molding mine properly" she gave a soft laugh and nodded at Gracia. She would take her up on the offer if only to slip back in and be certain she hadnt thouroughly upset Crunch. Maybe even rest a while in the territory, Twist didn't seem to notice her absence.
"It's generous of you to let me rest in these lands...it isn't that I don't love my own it's just...I feel so confused Gracia, I never thought others capable of such...decite and manipulations...I'm...afraid" she sighed softly.
As Gracia mentioned Crunch's desire to patrol she gave a soft nod. "He has a heavy burden on his shoulders now that he has a steady home to protect...he'll be alright once he feels more secure that things are safe."

Gracia gave a friendly thump of her tail on the rocky cliff and a soft smile to ease Alas' words. "Your doing fine from where I sit. I'm sure that there is a reason for all the uncertainty right now in your life, but don't let that deter you any Alas. Rough spots will lead you to calmer water one day," This the omega knew.
After all the family had moved from a land were females were but slaves to males. They were looked upon as lower then dirt and the families mother had actually been taken away by a larger male before the four siblings had really became independent of her. But Crunch had held the family together, he had allowed Snickers his dreams and disillusions along with watched over his maturing sisters.
Shaking her head the though of this new beautiful land made the blue and white female smile. Gracia looked at the first friend that she had made since coming to these neck of the woods and gently nosed the pink fur.
"Don't worry about judgment being passed from me. I know you care about your pack, I can hear it in your voice, but I would be the same way if I felt threatened or just as confused." Though Libenalas's last words made the omega's ears falter back some.
"Being afraid in your own pack isn't how things are suppose to work. I don't care how spiteful and manipulative one is, you should feel secure and safe in your pack. Since after all packs should be like a large family unit, but then again I know better then to have that thought process. I'm just fortunate that my brother cares about all of us so much."
Gracia's head just bobbed up and down at the last sentence about Crunch. That just had to be it, he would be back to his old self before too long and the pack would once again know about the alpha's moods, or at least he would make sure Twix kept things moving while he patrolled.

"I know I shouldn't be afraid but...It isn't my alpha!" she tried to explain.
"Twist is just so young, and theres that horrible lynx manipulating everyone, I don't know who I can trust. Everyone seems to distant so wrapped up in some...plot." She sighed before smiling sheepishly at Gracia.
"I suppose I sound rather foolishly melodramatic..." She pressed close to her friend and licked her ear lovingly. She was slowly seeing Gracia as not only a best friend, but almost a sister. She wished with a slight pang of regret that she had family, especially a family as wonderful as Gracia's, they all seemed to care for each other.
"I'm glad your so close, and that Crunch lets me visit." She murmered Crunch's name softly the back of her mind still drifting over thoughts of the dark blue male.

"I wasn't talking about your alpha, I was talking in general. One good wolf out of five or ten is never a good odd. As for your feline problem I don't know what to say or do to help you out with that one." Gracia could only apologize, but still she was concerned about the well being of Alas.
Though her head shook from side to side, "You're not being melodramatic." Gracia cooed trying to ease her close friend out of the rut that she was headed to. "You're just being over analytical." Though the omega had no reply to Alas' last words and just laid down beside the pink wolf to help comfort her.

Alas smiled at her friends words and gently placed her paw against her friends shoulder licking her lovingly. "Your such a good friend Gracia..."
She didn't know how she could ever thank the blue and white omega for listening to her troubles and giving advice. It felt good to let her concerns be known without anyone thinking she was just crazy or overly paranoid, she just knew something was wrong in her own home. Being in Crunch's lands with her friend felt so much safer, the way she had thought she would feel in her own pack.
"I havent run across your other brother or sister?" She wondered if this Twix and Snickers were as sweet and soft as Gracia or more like Crunch. No one was quite like Crunch she thought with a soft smile.

Gracia gave a comforting lick to the pink female's cheek. "I only do what feels right and that means being a good listener. So being a good friend is right up that ally."
The blue tail scooted across the rocky cliff and the light blue eyes looked out towards the sea. Though a small grimace came to the blue maw when the mention of Twix and Snickers came up. Looking sidelong towards Alas' kind face Gracia just smiled again, it wasn't hard to with being close to another that was similar in personality.
"Twix was deemed Beta before we moved over here. So that should tell you something about her behavior, but don't get me wrong I love my sister. She just is a wee bit bossy and tries to be Crunch's favorite, or so it seems." Gracia decided to explain. Then she moved towards her other brother, "Snickers on the other hand is the complete opposite. Sometimes I actually think that he tests Crunch's will power, but he like looking at himself in water. He finds himself overly attractive and a ladies man."
