Chuakari had returned from her trip out to the Duma'bara lands to visit her friends, the only family she had ever had for quite some time. She'd only managed to meet up with Uri, and introduce him to Mhuni, but it had still be quite the eventful visit! When they had reached their home, Kari had encouraged Mhuni to go off ahead and play or find something to do so she was left to find her way back to the family's den- and she hoped Hasidi would be there, not only did she have something exciting to tell him but she had really missed him even on her short trip away. She was never more certain this was where she belonged, being back in her old lands- especially with Mhuni- had reminded her of her old self and how nervous she had always been. Kari considered herself lucky to have avoided seeing Laio while she was out and about.
"Hasidi?" Kari called out as she neared home, waiting and hoping to hear the sound of her mate getting up to greet her. There were no obvious sounds of the other cubs being around, it wouldn't surprise her if they were off playing.

Hasidi bounded toward his lovely pink mate ignoring the protest in his left hind leg, he'd been learning to deal with it, and even was learning to try and use it to his advantage, it was easier to pivot on while he was hunting. As he neared her he rumbled deep in his throat with happiness and excitment at seeing her.
"Love you," he blurted and did not feel embarrassed or ashamed at saying this first, he missed her but thought to say I love you before, 'I miss you.' He walked down her body rubbing his side against hers still making the throaty noise.
"How was your trip?" Where is Mhuni?

Kari's heart skipped a beat when Hasidi appeared, she was delighted to see him again- such a short trip could seem like it took forever when you thought a great deal of the one you loved. It was wonderful to see Uri, though a bit unsettling to see so few of the coalition around- not that she'd particularly wanted to be found by a group of cheetahs who'd been less than welcoming to her mate with one of her half-lion sons.
"I love you too," she mumbled, nuzzling against him and pressing back as he rubbed against her side, "It was wonderful, but I missed you so much." As exciting as Uri's news was, this was much more immediately important. She turned around and rested her head against his mane. Kari wanted to ask how the others had behaved while she was gone, how he had been while they were gone, but she was momentarily content to be just where she was.

Hasidi was always more than pleased by the feeling of his mate at his side and he beamed brightly at her words and was excited to recount what the children had been up to. He would however omit that sometimes the lot would slip away from him on their own little adventure, but they always came back, they were taught well that they were loved and that for safety reasons they needed to stay close..how close? Hasidi wasn't always sure they were in ear shot, but they seemed safe and happy.
"How was your trip?" He purred happily and one of his trademark blushes crept up to his cheeks, the heat in them making him realize how much he really did miss Kari, "Mhuni a handful?" he chuckled.

The pink cheetah leaned on against her mate happily, happy to hear his heartbeat and familiar purr. It was often the small things, the endearing, familiar and comforting things that were missed most, it seemed. There Kari stayed, even as their conversation continued.
"It was nice, and Mhuni was very well behaved, as always," she replied with a light laugh, "How was everyone here? I hope everyone behaved.."
