Patriots are the best team in the NFL.

second is the Colts, and that matchup coming up in a few weeks should be great to watch.

Of course the Patriots won! The Pats are the best team in the NFL, no doubts about it. Have you noticed that in most games they're so sure of winning that they actually start practicing? They start doing the same run over and over as though trying to see if someone can block it, and if they can't, they move to a different pattern.

pats got lucky not trying to take anything away from them but all those penalties helped them out.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 15, 2007 5:49 am

The Cowboys definitely helped the Pats with all those penalties. It seemed like every time they did something good it was called back by a penalty. Conversion on 4th down, holding. Moss drops a touchdown pass, roughing the passer. Long pass play, illegal shift. It seemed like they were trying to lose that game. Then in the end the Patriots ran up the score instead of just kneeling the ball 3 times and taking the field goal to put the game out of reach. Then Tom Brady's stats get inflated because he plays in a spread-type offense, sometimes I feel like I am watching a college game. I still think the Colts will beat them because the Colts will keep them off of the field.

Is it me or does Tom Brady look like a lil preppy white kid ( no offense to the caucasian race) but still i gotta had to the pats, they won...we lost not much i can do u know? But ya alot i mean a hell of alot of penalties were called out on the Cowboys which wasn't right...but hey thats why they're called refs right? But anyways OVERATED? are u kiddin me Pats and the Colts and the Damn Raiders ( by the way they really do suck....again this year lol) are far most overated teams then the Cowboys! but whatever ur call man....but good luck to all the teams

With the Pats playing as good as they are, and being in a weak division as they are, it is possible for them to go 16-0.

BUT... here are a few more games to watch out for this season that will test the Patriots like yesterdays win over the then 5-0 Cowboys, mark your callendars for these.

November 4th at Indianapolis- Last season the Colts beat the Pats twice, including a come back from behind victory in the AFC championship to knock them out of the playoffs, and while the Cowboys and Patriots have been getting all the attention, don't forget about the defending World champions who are also undefeated. Should be a very good game, that will truly determine which team is #1 in the NFL.

December 9th vs. Pittsburgh- Though Pittsburgh is no longer in the undefeated list, they are still playing like a top contender in the AFC, and their Defense is causing headaches for everyone, The Patriots have scored a total of 230 points so far, and have scored no less than 34 in a game. Lets see if the Steelers Power Defense can find a way to shut down Brady and Moss.

December 29th at NY Giants- Since dropping their first two games and allowing over 90 points in their first two and a half, since the second half of the Redskins game they have only allowed 27 points, (averaging less than 5 points a quarter allowed) and what initially started as a woeful season is now one filled with all kinds of playoff possabilities for the Giants, they are playing tough, and if they keep it up they will most likely give the Patriots problems come the end of the season.

I say these are the three most important games left for the Patriots that need to be watched. If the Patriots don't go 16-0 this season, Odds are that a loss, maybe more will come from these games.

Don't get ahead of yourself. I'll give the Patriots Credit, they are an excellent team, maybe they are the best in the NFL.

BUT... With an exception to beating the Cowboys yesterday, all the other teams they've beating have a .500 winning percentage or less. And being in the same division with the, 1-4 Bills, 1-5 Jets, and the 0-6 Dolphins who they play next week, It's easy for a good team to roll out the impressive numbers that they are. And Dallas gave them a good run for their money yesterday up till the 4th quarter, but I don't see that as the Patriots beating them, as much as Dallas shooting themselves in the foot and giving the game to them.

I say the defending Superbowl Champions, the Indianapolis Colts, are teh best team in the NFL until proven otherwise.

Most people have gotten on the Patriots and Cowboy's bandwagon talking about how those two teams are the best in the league, but the Colts are still undefeated, They are in a much tougher division where their division rivals are carrying records of 4-1, 3-2, and 3-3, much more difficult to hold on to a division lead and remain undefeated against AFC South teams than AFC East.

As I said before, wait till November 4th when the Patriots play the Indianapolis Colts, if they beat the Colts, and remain undefeated to that point, then I'll gladly agree with you and say they are the best in the NFL

Good predictions.

I think they'll go over 13-3.

I don't know about Pittburg or NYG. But I possibly think that the Colts could beat the Patriots, because the Colts are at home. Tell me if i'm wrong, but i think the former superbowl champs have won like 15 straight games at home. The Pats are my take for the superbowl title, but they are prone to losing at least 1 game.

If my sources are correct, the last time the Colts lost a home game was December 18th, 2005 to the San Diego Chargers 26-17. That is quite a long time to have an undefeated winning streak at home. And on top of that, last season the Colts beat the Patriots in Foxborrow, and in the RCA dome. Odds favor them at home, but that shows that home field advantage isn't as important in this matter.

It is quite possible that the pats will end up 13-3, but it is also a possability that they can go 16-0. It's not their fault they are in a weak AFC east division, Arguably the worst division in the league, (With exception to the Patriots of course) but unless one of those teams can step it up and truly give New England a fight, they really have a smooth run through to the post season, with exception to the three games I pointed out. Not that New England is going to overlook any of those teams, they won't, but it will be interesting to see how well they will do.

Another thing to point out, leading up to the Colts/Patriots game, another factor to add in, is that the Colts, have two playoff caliber teams leading up to the Pats game, The Jaguars Next week, in which they always play the Colts tough, (And the game will be in Jacksonville) and then at Carolina to play the Panthers before coming home for the Patriots, that's a tough two week road trip compared to the Patriots who are at 0-6 Miami, then at home against a struggling Washington team. So New England has the edge in that area of easy schedule in the next two weeks.

But then again, The Colts are coming off a bye week, so they are well rested, and prepared for their up coming games, where as New England don't get their bye week till after the Colts game. The Earlier Bye might be a factor benefiting the Colts depending on how worn out the Patriots are at that point.

Overall, it's a tough game to predict who will win. My philosophy, till teh Champions are beaten, they are the best in the league, and they have yet to loose since winning it all last season. So until otherwise, my money is on the Colts in this game.

I'm in a football pool with a few friends. My bet is the Colts win, but it will be decided fewer than 7-8 points.

Also, I have tickets to the Giants/Patriots game biggrin smile
