I didn't think he was. I thought it was just because he felt akward around girls.

If it's referring to the fact that he doesn't like fighting girls, then no I don't think he is. I've got some good reasons too.
Number one, it's hard for a guy to hit a girl, it just is. I've sparred with girls before, and even ones I know are tough I hold back. It's just kind of programmed into most guys since a young age. What kind of guys that do hit women do you really look up to?
Another reason, what kind of credit is he going to get for winning? "Ooh good job Shikamaru, you beat up a girl." That's the kind of thing I know I'd hear if I did.

Due to his comments on having to fight a girl in the chuunin exams and his comments on the female hokage, I have to say yes. He is sexist. But I still love the lazy p***k.

Mirage909 I didn't think he was. I thought it was just because he felt akward around girls. it was also that he hade bad luck in the chunin exam and was always fighting girls

if only there was the ultimate combo of his brains, tsunade's str, naruto's chakra, pein's rin'negan, and the 4'th experience

I always thought he was a little. Considering the comments on his teammates, Tsunade, his opponents, and mom I'm pretty certain he's a little sexist. But he still rules!
I also agree with what block-head wrote.

Where I wanna hold you tight…Shikamaru is only judging in a way girls. Stereotyping, in fact. But don't we all do it? I really don't think this leads to sexism. It feels so right

I dont tihnk he is. I think that he may sound like it at times. he does call women"troublesome" but he calls everything that. If someone told him to walk down the driveway and get the mail he'd say"troublesome". XD So no, I dont think he is. 3nodding
