During her pregnancy, Amadet had had a lot of time to think about what she had done. She had no regrets about it, she was sure that her cubs would be perfect. They were hers, after all- and more importantly, they were rather closely related to the goddess Mtima'safi. Even if that particular god was only a secondary deity, it was still a big deal- or it would have been, as Amadet had come to realize. What was the point of having these perfect children if no one knew just how special they were? The pride was long gone, and even if she found someone from it, it'd be hard to say how they would react. Individual pride members were not important enough- maybe if she'd found her parents or the elders.. she could rub it in their face, show them how they shouldn't have turned her down. Amadet, however, doubted they were still alive.

Then she remembered that Mtima'safi was still alive. And so, Amadet had to do something about this or all of it would be pointless. She would never consider her cubs mistakes, never regret having them, but their importance should not go unknown.

She'd been alone when she'd given birth to six beautiful cubs, giving credit to Wahabu for some of the brighter, odd colors included in some of them. Not unlike herself, Ama noticed that the few of the cubs had any of the pride's valued markings on them. The single boy had the cross, and her youngest girl looked almost painfully similar to Amoret. But she would be better than her aunt, Siyara would be something special. They all would be.

And to make sure that this was known to those who would care, those who had wronged her, Amadet had made the decision to search out these creatures. Of particular interest to her was Mtima'safi, and for that reason she knew that she couldn't take them with her. If the goddess got angry, and Amadet almost hoped she would, she didn't want to have the cubs taken away from her. They were not for the goddess to take from her, Amadet would not let that happen. This only meant she had to find someone who she could trust, someone who couldn't easily be traced from her, to take care of them until she found what she was looking for. And this someone she had chosen was Gharadi. He'd been very kind to her despite how grumpy she'd been, he was in a pride where they could be safe and best of all he was barely connected to her.

So Amadet had returned to the area she had found him, and took whatever free moments she could to take a look around for him. She wouldn't go far from her cubs, and only paid attention to her search when they were sleeping or playing. Not this time, though- for she had fallen asleep with them by her side and had no idea that had she tried now her luck would have improved.

Gharadi stretched his forearms and yawned, shaking his head so that his orangey mane fell into place in a way so he looked a bit more nice then his normal unkempt scruffy mane when he awoke from his naps. Naps at this time were quite lovely, though they did not like to keep his mane in check, though no matter, he smiled, peered around his orange hues and started padding along, route unknown.

He was just wandering in circles today, he felt upbeat, and it was nice.

He had been dreaming nice lately, dreaming that he wasn't alone, was surrounded by those that cared about him and him about them, it was nice, considering everyday he was alone, and being alone was no fun.

For a moment something caught his attention in he corner of his eyes, and he stopped, peeked forward, trying to decifer who was before him.

Amadet was not keen on having someone sneak up on her and her cubs, just as any mother might be. After having her nephew mysteriously pop up without her knowing before he showed his face, she was a little more wary- especially now that she actually had six little ones with her to keep safe. However, the unexpected nap had taken away from her awareness of her surroundings- and even if it hadn't, Gharadi wasn't yet close enough that she would have noticed quite yet.

Gharadi shook his head again, trying to flush out the last bits of sleepiness form his core when a figure caught his attention, and they weren't far off either. Quirking a brow he headed that way, curious, perhaps a new friend to meet, would be a wonderful start to the day after his nap. Flicking his tail as he got closer he noticed that the figure was not only female, but quite familiar as well.

"Amadet?" Gharadi asked out loud in question, for if it wasn't, he wasn't positive if a lone female would appreciate him coming so close to her.

Sleep was wonderful, but the lioness had only dozed off. So when Gharadi came closer and called out her name, she started out of her sleep. Her first reaction was to see who had called, and immediately after she spotted Gharadi, she smiled and then glanced back to the cubs by her side to make sure none of the had woken up. Content to see that no one had made any obvious signs of waking up, she carefully moved herself away from them and stood up- though she instinctively stuck close by them when she stood.

"Gharadi," she beamed, clearly not quite as grouchy as she had been the last time they'd met- and it was not entirely an act, though it was certainly for a point. Amadet was sure she'd never get his help if she wasn't nice- though why he would turn down protecting a bunch of cubs was impossible to imagine. "Or have you found a new name since we last met?"

Gharadi smiled charmingly as he approached her, not noticing the cubs not too far away fro where both adults now stood speaking, he chuckled, shook his head, "I have but I'm keeping Gharadi as well, so Nafsi'Gharadi, though Gharadi is fine Amadet, don't worry," he said with a smile, flicking his tail, watching her.

She seemed so much more happy today, which was good, and it was also good, no, great, that he was seeing her again. "How have you been Amadet hmm?"

"Found a way to keep the name you like, did you?" she smiled, it was much more genuine this time- it was a rather good idea, simple adding to his old name if he so wished to keep it. Surely that could not be turned away, it was different even if it had similar elements. "That's very good, Nafsi'Gharadi." She chose to address him, at least once, by his new name if only out of respect for his pride's traditions.

"I've been rather busy actually," Amadet said, glancing off to where the cubs lay sleeping before looking back, "Kind of why I'm back here, actually." Amadet did not want to imply that she thought they were Gharadi's in anyway, for they both knew that was impossible, but she could not think of another way to say it. If her plan worked, perhaps they would be his.

"Busy?" Gharadi asked raising a brow, he smiled at her when she addressed him by his new full name, it was a kind gesture of Amadet, and he appreciated it very much. Gharadi's orange hues wen to where Amadet seemed to glance off at, and his eyes settled on a mass of ..things, not too far off. Were those..were they-

"Cubs?" Gharadi said in surprise, though a smile graced his features.

Cubs, he loved cubs.

"What're their names? Why are you way out here with them?" suspicions rose in his mind about the father hunting them down..though, what kind of lion would hunt his family down or chase them away?

"Yes, my cubs," she beamed proudly, for Amadet was incredibly proud of her little ones- even if it was partly superficial. She'd have been proud of any cubs, but she was especially arrogant about these ones. The lioness glanced back at the cubs, and then back to Gharadi.

"The girls are Moyo, Noki, Kichea, Shemshi and Siyara," she listed them off, though she did not indicate who was who- there were too many of them to know who was who right off the bat for a stranger, "And the boy is Pepo. I can introduce you after.."

Here went nothing..

"I came here looking for you, actually," she said, carefully glancing to the side warily before continuing, "I need your help."

Gharadi listened to the names and tried to match them with faces but even with his guesses he was probably wrong, the only foolproof one was the boy who had interesting markings and colors, just like the others had. "Help?" he raised a brow at her and flicked his tail, though it was leaning towards a lash. If anyone was trying to hurt Amadet or the little ones, they would have him to answer to. Cubs were a very precious thing, and Amadet was so very nice, who would bother the family?

"Whats wrong?"

Amadet was rather pleased to see that Gharadi seemed so concerned when she said she needed his help. All parts of her insane little plan seemed to be working out so easily, from actually finding someone in the Pridelands connected to Mtima (if not the goddess herself) to getting Gharadi's help. But she could not get ahead of herself!

"They- we- need a somewhere safe to stay," she said carefully, trying to be consistent in how worried she sounded and looked- but this time is wasn't so hard because she did want them to be safe if she was going to leave them, "Someone is- might be- after me, after them.. I need help from someone who can't easily be traced back to me, and you were so nice and concerned when I had twisted my ankle.."

Gharadi watched Amadet with a sincere gaze, he watched her ad his face could be seen as one of a worried friend, how could someone be after a family like Amadet's, who would go after them, who? The father, some other crazed lion or lioness, it didn't matter, he would try to help no matter what it was. "You and the cubs can follow me, I'll be heading home soon, I'm sure that the pride would not turn away you and your cubs Amadet," he said with a nod.

He would vouch for them if need be.

"You'll be safe there, the cubs will be safe there," he said nodding again.

He wondered how fast she wanted to move them.

Amadet, despite her manipulative ways of late, was touched by the sincerity in Gharadi's eyes and words- he really did want to help them. Of course she happened to pick a nice guy to take advantage of; but that had been part of the plan, she wouldn't want her cubs with someone mean or cruel, and a nice guy was most likely to do that. Certainly no one else she'd seen lately would do- least of all her ... lovely nephew. Just Gharadi.

"You'd really do that for us?" she asked, "I- I can't stay, not until it's safe, not for long. But you could take them with you, right?"

She looked back at the rather large pile of cubs anxiously, now thinking about just how far she was going. Six was more than she'd expected, and she couldn't turn back from what she'd done now. But if she'd wanted to, she could live a happy little life- but she would not be able to do that without finding Mtima'safi (or her brothers, if they still lived) and confronting her. Then she could come back, then she could be a family again.

Gharadi watched her and he gave her an expression questioning what she stated, though he asked anyway, "You won't come with us?" did she really fear for her cubs that much that she wanted to get separated then be reunited at a later time? He could handle the cubs, that he knew, he always wanted to be a father so he could see this as a test to see if he could handle it, though he nodded.

"Yes, I can take them with me."

Amadet looked back in time to see the odd look that Gharadi gave her, hoping that this wasn't so unbelievable. If anything, she hoped it gave the impression of how serious she felt the situation was- perhaps he would keep a better eye on them. When Mtima found out.. if she knew where to go, she could well be back here long before Amadet made it.

She smiled, biting back at smiling too greatly at his agreeing.

"Thank you, thank you," she thanked him, and for effect went over and nuzzled against him gratefully. Then Amadet turned back to the cubs and tiptoed over, "Come over, then- I'll introduce you when they wake up."
