Standing in the golden feild, the starry mare pondered. The wind picked up and dropped again, and all arounf her, the mares soft cream hair danced. Flicking her tail she gently lowered her neck to eat and pawed a little at the rich sweet grasses that where now changing color to those of fall, trying to upp root them so they would be easier to eat.
So unaware to the world aroudn her, Galitaya continued to eat the tall grasses. At this point in the fall the grass became almost as tall as she and when she bent to eat only her starred back could be seen over their tall hedge like tops. Some wheat and oat stalks has mixed in this year making these grasses more delicious then before and the mare really liked when they where like this. Though this was really only her first year experiencing the grasses in this area, she had decided that they where her favorite and would remember this spot.

Micah was so excited. In his travels, [though he never traveled very far from his mate] he had found the most quaint little glade. It had a nice little waterfall, of which was like.. Crystal almost.
The grasses were tall, and oh boy! Were they green. So much better than where they were residing now, for sure.
He had to find Galitaya now. There were no if's, and's, or but's about it. He had to.
He wanted to live there. He wanted to be with her forever, and that posed the question he would ask this day as well.
He hoped he wasnt pressing the envelope, but he had come to love the mare that he called mate. It was one of those things he could just.. feel. And he hadnt felt that way before.
Swishing his chocolate colored tail, he ran, letting his braided mane blow past him. His golden orbs scouting the plains for her.
Finally he saw her starry pelt, and he knickered to her, smiling brightly.
Oh his stomach was in knots from both the things he had to say to her.. To ask her.
"Gal!"

Hearing the hooves of her mate thundering closer, the mare lifted her delicate head from over the grass. There was no Mistaking the way Micah loped, even if there where 20 oter stallions and mares running past, she would still recognize that one beat, the sound of it hitting the earth.
Smiling she offered a nicker back as she continued to finish her mouthful of grasses. Studying him as she did she watched his movements. Micah seemed to have something to say and she was all ears. Gently her mouth murmmered a bit as she swallowed the food she had eaten, and her lips curled so gently as she talked,
" Good Morning Micah, Why are you in such a hurry?"

"Galitaya, I have found the most wonderful area of the.. area! Its a quaint little glade, with a waterfall, and lush grasses.. The perfect place for raising a family if we are to do so!"
H ewas speaking fast, because he was so nervous from the question he was about to ask her. He was jittery, and nervous, and his voice stammered only slightly.
"Come there with me. Lets live there! No one else inhabits the place, I made sure to look. But its right out of a dream, Gal.. Right out of a dream.."
He looked her in the eyes.
Now was not the time to ask his question. He would wait till she saw the glade for herself.
Then he'd ask a question that could make, or break, him.

" Is something wrong? Your talking awfully fast"
Offering a kinder smile then before she nudged him but not for long as she caught up to his side as they seemed to start moving. She was very interested to see this place that he made sound very wonderful. She didnt know why he wanted her to see it now, they didnt have a family, or foals so really her seeing it this very moment was a bit peculiar, but she didnt ask questions, she trusted the stallions judgment and decisions.
Her delicate mane hung over one shoulder as her eyes watched the orange buckskin stallion with interest. Each white foot she lifted and set down sofly as her silver hooves and horn glisteneed a bit in the light, her tail swaying out behind her, lifted about the ground to a slight curl so it didnt drag.

"Nothing is wrong, darling. Only, I have an important question to ask you."
Keeping his pace slow enough to where it didnt feel like he was racing his beloved, he continued.
As he reached the glade of which had captured his imagination so nicely, he looked at Gal.
"What do you think, love? Does it suit you? Or do you like it?"
He asked, hopefully
Then he turned her cheek to show her the water fall.

Smiling she looked around at the grass, green and lush, flowers every where. In her mind it was amazing to even see flowers at this time of the year. Letting her head be turned she looked at the water fall in its megnificence, Sort of forgetting about Micah for a while and trotting towards it, through the feild of the most brilliant shades of green she had ever seen.
Turning her head she smiled and trotted back to him. Letting her nose gently touch his as she came up to him. Flowers all around, her tail swinged happilly and her feathers ruffled as they did when she was filled with a good feeling. And her gentle voice rang out like a bell as she spoke,
" This is really a beautiful place and it is.. very hard to believe no one lives here yet.. but Micah i agree with you and that it is.. Beautiful... it is beautiful but... "
Gently nosing him lovingly she spoke softly once more,
" The only reason to me it is beautiful is because.. of you. You found this wonderful place and thought of sharing it with me. No one has ever done something like that.. or offered me something.. some where to live thats so.. Well love filled.."

"I love you very much Gal."
He said, nosing her back and lipping at her mane.
Oh boy, did he love this mare like no ones buisness.
But this seemed the perfect time to throw out his other question.
Because if he couldnt do it now.. Then he never could, and he'd kick himself later.
Looking deep into her eyes with his own golden cat eyes, he smiled a bit.
A nervous smile, but a happy smile none the less. Even if she said no.. SHe was still his mate for now. He would still win.
"And the brings around my other question.."
He said, exstatic that she loved the place as much as he had.
As much as he did.
It was so peaceful and beautiful here, that he couldnt see NOT sharing it with the mare that had made off with his heart.
"Gal, I would like to know if you would be my lifemate."

Looking back into his eyes as he spoke, her purple hues looked curiously. When he had said that brings around his other question she grew curious. What more could there be, it had already been such a wonderful suprise with this and all nothing more could make it better.
but, then his question came.
Not knowing how to respond the mare backed up a bit as a type of defence mechinism. She had not yet gotten use to letting herself get so close, and in truth she was a little afraid. With a shaken voice she wispered,
" Micah.. I"
Looking down a few silent moments passed. Her heart was racing as she thought. Deep in her mind she travelled and came to one conclusion. Before she was afraid of getting hurt, of sharing how she felt with him. But that was before she knew that he actualy did want to be with her, at this moment, the moment she found out. Smiling Gal edged back towards him and smiled, looking back up to meet his gaze and said gently as she had done so many times before to him
" I would.. love to be your lifemate Micah.. If your willing to have me, i would love to"
Blushing a bit se was still nervous but her posture relaxed a little as she looked up at him. Her wings puffed back out and her tail curled again and wiggled slightly. Her mane picked up from the wind and gently tossed around but never leaving the place of that one shoulder. Inside Galitaya could feel something that she hadnt payed attention to before. It was warm and grew and in a way when she looked into it more she realized that when ever Micah was goen she had this feeling, a feeling of missing something. Almost as if for a brief moment a peice of her wasnt there and it only did return when he came back. looking away her bangs feel in from f her eyes and she teared up a bit, was this feeling, the feeling that was described to her so many times before?
" Micah... its good that you asked me because... I think... Im in love with you"

Micah's eyes widened as he smiled at the mare now his own. His love, his heart, his soul. He would get the chance to be together with her for the rest of his life, so long as she continued to be happy with him.
Letting out a call of excitement, he looked back at the mare with trusting eyes.
"Gal, I dont think you've ever said that to me before." He said, catching her I love you. He had waited so long for her to say that tohim, and he'd been happy just being able to get the chance to be with her.
But now, here he was, with a mare who had just agreed to be his lifemate.
His partner in crime, so to speak.
His mane also blew with the wind, the darkened braids kicking into the air as his eyes closed, nuzzling the mare once more.
"Galitaya, I shall love you until my dying breath.. and then beyond."

Her delicate body tensed up and she almsot bolted when his loud call was made, but she contained herself. That call seemed to give her a boost of energy in a way and she giggled a bit. Galitatya was happy that she could make some one else so happy by just saying a few words. Looking up at him she nuzzled him back and smiled.
Though she was older now, she was still young. Micah was much older then her and wiser, so she knew he was a good stallion for a mate from the first time they actually talked. He was a strong stallion, witty, and handsome, she knew most mares would kill for those aspects in a stallion for a mate. But Galitaya actually knew she didnt love him for those reasons, she loved him because of the way he was. All of him. To her he could of been horribly mangled, a freak but as long as he was still the way he was now, on the inside, she would of fell in love with him either way.
" Well, i guess you have news to tell your family now... and Micah... can you tell me.. how many mate you've had before me.... what where they like? I dont want to make the same mistakes they did.. i dont want to hurt you.."
Her gentle eyes looked back at him softly, worridly, and carringly. Almost in a scared manner. He had been her first mate, her only mate, and now she would be spending the rest of her life as his mate. She didnt know any better, she hadnt been given a chance to make the mistake with other stallions, to make any mistakes. Smoothly her front left hoof dug into the earth, showing her nervousness. ALl other signals where lost beneath her steel barrier, she didnt want Micah to see her nervousness and tried to remain strong in front of him as the tears now left her eyes. Flicking her bangs out of the way, she let her purple eyes dance back up to his that where closed

Mates? He had had numerous girlfriends, none of them mates.. Only one had been close to that of a mate, and she had just dissappeared.
"I have taken one mare as my actual mate. And you could not go wrong with me Gal. Ever. You could only hurt me in one way, and that is to not mean the things you say."
Micah only valued love, and honesty.
He was always honest with others, so he expected the same.
But he knew she was honest, because Gal didnt say things she didnt mean.
"I could only be hurt if you tried, and I dont think you'd do that."
He said, nuzzling her again.
He felt a small tear hit his muzzle as he nuzzled her.
Looking up surprised, he inquired.
"Darling, what is wrong? How have I upset you?"

Looking up she smiled, nuzzling him back reassuringly. She didnt really realize that there where tears still left on her face and just giggled a little. She was ok and she knew the tear from before was when she came to that resolution but she wouldnt yet tell him of that.
" No my love, nothing is wrong, it was from before and everything is fine, It was never shed out of sadnss, just happiness"
Looking around them, it seemed like a perfect day, fluttering her wings a bit it seemed that for a moment she thought water had hit it but paid no mind to it. But she was right. Though it was sunny out, clouds still filled the skyes slightly. The warm breeze kept moving and just suddenly the rain seemed to come. It was a soft cool rain, a sun shower, and she shook her head fluttering her wings a bit from it.
Smiling she looked over at Micah gently catching him with her tail before running off towards the waterfall in a playful manner. She was still energized from earlier, when he made the loud excited noise. Lookinh back again she smiled as her delicate frame gracefully leaped and bounded about, towards the waters edge. And not paying attention Galitaya misplaced her step and fell into the water.
Disappearing beneath it for a bit she soon came up and with an embarassed look on her face she blushed. But despite that all Galitaya did was laugh. SHe hadnt done this before in a long time, since she was a foal. For the first time in a long time she was acting rather silly but with that one could asume; Love does crazy things to one.

Micah saw her grow happy, and start bounding for the water as the soft rain pellets hit both of their pelts.
As he watched her, he realized what it was about her that made him love her so much.
It wasnt her grace, beauty, nor her childlike innocence.
He loved her because she was a mix of everything he'd ever dreamed of.
This was the mare he couldnt wait to have foals with. This was the mare, that he saw forever in her eyes.
But as he was thinking, his mind was brought back into reality as she fell into the depths of the water.
Rushing to her aid, he looked worried until she came back up for air, laughing the whole time.
"You scared me!" He mused.

Giggling at herself she swam around in the waters, till she got to the shore. Her wings, looking a little odd soaked, ruffled a bit as she dripped. Her hair stuck close to her body as it too dripped, bangs covering her face. Smiling she shook her body and the water flew every where, small dripplets and all.
Her body seemed to glisten and her hair moved slightly but she was still wet. Shaking her wings off by constracting and retracting them quickly she whipped her tail around and snorted. Gently she called out to Micah
" Well it could of been worse i suppose, and dont worry about me so much, nothing will happen to me as long as i have you"
