Ravi's confession still swirled through Sevati's mind as she couldn't get him out of her head! She shook her head vigoriously but to no avail. Why couldn't she stop thinking about him and seeing his golden eyes whenever she closed her own? Did she really have those kind of feelings for the male? If she didn't, then how could she explain the unexplicable feeling of loneliness that overwhelmed her at the moment.
She had no clue about these sort of things. Her parents were, for the most part, not very good role models on this topic as she rarely saw them interact. And when she did see them together, it was just to see how her mother was doing. She didn't grasp the concept of love or anything of the sort between others that were not family. This was why she was so stunned by Ravi's exclamation.

The waves rolled in and out next to the white lioness. She was lost in thought as the salty breeze brushed against her face. Sevati could feel the cool waters touch her paws every now and then. Each time the water would touch her paws, she'd jolt in surprise but relieved that she'd not lost in her own mind. Lime green eyes started to glaze over as she turned to look towards the horizon. The horizon, a symbol of new beginnings. Should she start a new beginning? One she's never even thought of before?
Where was her sister when she needed her. Ausi would know what to do at a time like this. Her older sister was almost the complete opposite of herself, everything her sister knew and experienced, she's almost completely clueless. And since Ausi's had cubs before and loves some male, she'd be the perfect one to talk with. But, Ausi was somewhere around here with her father and therefore, she was on her own. Though, deep down she wanted to do something for herself...to prove that she wasn't as helpless as she was put out to be. She was just as capable to do things as her sister. The question still remained, what were her feelings for Ravi? Ever since she first met Ravi, she's felt some sort of connection to the male, which was why she stuck with him. But, was that connection more than just mere friends?

The white lioness knew without a shadow of a doubt that she enjoyed the male's company greatly. That she liked seeing him smile and knowing that she could make that possible. And, it wasn't every day that she lived with someone else that wasn't her family. Maybe that's what the thrill for her was, that Ravi was someone other than her family that she was living with. She shook her head, no, that didn't sound right to her. She didn't do it for the mere pleasure of living away from her family. There was something else there, something else that she needed to identify.
She could remember all the wonderful things that Ravi said about her to her. Did she believe all those things, well no. But that's the beauty of it, she began to realize. He thought all those things about her and while she didn't agree, he didn't care! He thought otherwise on the matter and it made her heart skip a beat at the thought. While he called her perfect and wanting to spend the rest of his life with her, here she was moping around lost in her own thoughts unable to even figure out if she loved the male or not?

How did her sister know that she loved her mate? What made her realize that she wanted to be with him? Sevati was now curious to her sister's answer, but that'd have to wait for another day as today, she needed to sort everything out and now. A part of her was now starting to feel bad as to how she had left Ravi. Hopefully he wasn't too hurt with her response would be receptive of her again. Though, if she was hurt, she'd not be so welcoming. But, that's the thing about her, she's so naive about so many things that she still has so much to learn.
She thought about the male. What would her life be like without him? She tried to imagine that. Instantly, she could feel the loneliness again. She'd definitely be lonely without the male with her, she'd definitely be bored as well. He kept her on her toes all the time. But then, she'd also miss waking up in the morning with him getting her breakfast and watching all the failed attempts before he finally caught a fish. His touch. She's gotten so accustomed to his touch that she never even thought about it in a way other than being friendly, but now that she looks at it. It could definitely be seen as a romantic gesture. Especially when the two sleep side by side, or lean on one another to watch the sunset.
Blinking back in surprise, how could she have missed this?! There was no way she could go back to living her old life, in her old home with her family like before. As much as she wanted things to be like before, she was starting to enjoy her new life a little bit more than the old. There was no way she'd trade Ravi for anything else in the world. The two of them had gone through so much, tempting death, finding her family and traveling all the way over here. There was no way she'd give that up! And, the more she thought about it, the more she was beginning to realize that she would never be the same without Ravi It was like he was her other half, he made things complete. Her lime green eyes widen as she got up. She needed to go and find Ravi! She needed to tell him everything!

With this newfound information, it gave Sevati a burst of energy that she didn't know she had. The white lioness needed to find the male before he left her for good. She was worried, worried that he'd leave and she'd be all alone. Her father was off somewhere, and her sister was with her mate which left her by herself. Without a shadow of a doubt, she knew that she needed to be with someone or else she'd go mad. The sun was not on her side as it was setting.
Her lime green eyes searched the area as she went to all their normal spots. She checked the shores, the dunes, their makeshift den but with no Ravi in side. Skidding to a stop, she let out a frustrating sigh as there could be only one other place that he'd be...the rocks. The white lioness turned around and started to head over in that direction, hoping that the male was there.

The waves crashing into the rocks as the seafoam misted Ravi. The male was just lying there, kind of lost. He sorely missed his mother. He's never been away from her for so long and being the rash adolesence that he was then, he ran away thinking to spite her. But, he was beginning to regret his actions as he'd probably never get to see her ever again and the last thing his other would remember by was the bitter memory of him not saying goodbye. He'd live with that regret for the rest of his life and there was very little that could make up for it at this point.
He flopped his head down on his paws and sighed. Things were very messed up at this point. Perhaps he shouldn't have told Sevi that he loved her, he should have just kept that to himself. Things would never be the same between them now, and it was all his fautl. He just messed everything up. His golden eyes were dim as he just gazed forward at the ocean, wondering what to do now.

Silently traveling along the shore, Sevati felt the cool water on her paws each time the waves rolled in. It helped refresh her memories of the waters from where she was from, but this place was much more accepting. Ears pricked forward as she started to catch the scent of Ravi. A small smile made it's way across her muzzle as she flicked her tail nervously. He was still here! Her heart started to pound in her chest, she could feel every single emotion wash through her as she spotted his figure off in the distance.
She made her way towards the male quietly, not making her presence known as she wanted to surprise him. Surprised that he didn't even raise his head, maybe he was ignoring her? No, he couldn't be. Pushing that thought out of her mind, she walked up next to his figure before sliding in next to him and nuzzling his mane gently. "Ravi."

The male silently wondered if he should stay here or become like his mother and wander through the lands in search of a place to settle down. Would it be possible for Ravi to settle down without Sevati with him? No, the male didn't think so. He had gotten too accustomed to her presence that he'd feel at a loss without her next to him. Maybe he was thinking too much about her because he thought he heard her voice. It wasn't until his gaze at the sea shattered by the sudden nuzzle.
Ears pricked up curiously as he turned to look at her with a questioning gaze. She just looked so beautiful, so etheral in the dimming light that she seemed out of his reach. There was so many things that burdened his heart, and the one most of all that made him the saddest were those ugly marks across Sevi's face and back. Those marks were on there because of him. Her pelt should not have been marked in any way, and he felt fully responsible for marring her beauty.
Though, now he was slightly curious as to why she was here? He spoke softly, not wanting to shatter this imagine with any loud words. It was peaceful here. "You found me...Sevati." Her name was so exotic, he loved it.

Feeling those golden eyes made Sevati feel very exposed. She did her very best to stop the heat from rising on her face, but she couldn't help it. Her heart had started to race ever since Ravi had turned to face her. His words were soft and flowed nicely. The white lioness couldn't help but curl her tail slightly. It sounded so melodic to her, it was as if her eyes had just been open. Ever since she was little, she always wanted a friend. Someone to spend time with, someone to play with, someone to laugh with, someone to cry with...someone to just be with. And, with Ravi coming into her life, he had fit that bill perfectly. How could she not have seen it sooner!
Feeling a bit brave, she went to Ravi's side and lied down next to him. Her shoulder was touching his softly as she gazed forward at the ocean. Not daring to look at him at the moment, since there were so many emotions swirling inside of her at the moment she felt like she would burst. Why didn't anyone ever teach her about this? About feelings and what she should do? A small, but soft smile grew on her face, "Of course. I checked everywhere before I came here." She spoke softly to match him, "The setting sun is beautiful, is it not, Ravi?"

Just as his words were swept away by the sea breeze, Ravi felt a soft touch on his shoulder. He turned his head slightly to see Sevi lying next to him. His breath was caught in his throat as he couldn't do anything but nod his head at the moment as he was afraid he'd stutter and make a fool out of himself. His gaze turned back towards the sea, content at the moment with just lying here with Sevi at his side. As the two lasped into silence, the pregnant pause was anything but awkward. It was as if the two were like they always here, comfortable with one another. There was no feeling of awkwardness being with Sevi and that made him wonder why.
Though, he didn't dwell on that as much as he wondered why she had come out to seek him. If anything, he had fleeting thoughts of going to her and apologizing for laying all his feelings and emotions on her when she clearly did not return his affection. Slightly sadden by that thought, he lowered his head to cover his eyes with his bangs so that his hurt couldn't be seen by Sevi, for heavens know she could easily read him like a book. That's how much time the two spent together. The female's question sounded rhetoric, so he had decided not to answer as she already knew the answer to that question. But, her earlier words caught his attention. She was looking for him? With his eyes still downcast, he didn't want to get his hopes up as he asked, "Were you looking for me, Sevati?"

His question brought the heat back to Sevati's face as she didn't want to flat-out admit that she was indeed looking for him. But she couldn't lie, no she wouldn't lie to him. A slight nod of her head was his answer, as she spoke slowly, "Yes Ravi, I was looking for you actually." This was going to be harder than she thought it would be. It always sounds easier to talk about feelings in your head than it is to say them out-loud. Because saying them out loud made everything sound so concrete...it was like exposing yourself to anyone listening.
But, she and Ravi had been through so much that she shouldn't feel so awkward about feelings and emotions. She had helped nursed him back to health, she had helped him through all his difficult times, and the least he deserved was everything she had to give him. Her lime eyes turned to look at the male, taking in his large form. He was so magnificant, so kind that she couldn't help but adore him. At first she thought it was because he reminded her of her father, but now she realized those feelings were something else. Her gaze traveled up and landed on his scars. They were still so bright and vivid against his coat. The ones banding his nose matched her, but the one over his eye almost lost him his sight. She reached out with her nose to nudge his cheek gently. It was now or never.
"I was, actually. There are so many things I don't know in this world, Ravi, and love is one of them," She paused briefly, "I wouldn't lie when I say I was scared when you told me you loved me more than a friend. I had no idea how to react to that statement, Ravi. You see, I have no models to go by. My parents never interacted lovingly while I was a cub, my mother was always in the den sick and so, I didn't know how to respond. And since we left that place, it was just my sister, my father and I. So really, I've never been around two loving parents."
She lowered her head a bit, "I know now that I might have reacted poorly and thus, caused you some pain, but I hope that you'll forgive me. It wasn't until today when I was alone did I realize how much we've gone through together. We almost died, you were very close I am sure if I had not found you sooner that you wouldn't be here now. Even though we've been marked by that ordeal, I don't see it now as a reminder of the evils, but rather a reminder of what we share. And if I had a chance to change anything, to not look like this I wouldn't change it for the world!" She raised her head to look straight at him. "I've come to realize that I don't think I can live my life by myself, Ravi. I couldn't be alone, I just couldn't. I've always wanted to be with someone, someone I could lean on, someone to laugh and cry with...and you've filled in that role I've been searching for. But, since I'm so inexperienced, I didn't realize what I had right under my nose. It wasn't until I thought about not spending another day with you that I got scared, real scared Ravi." Her voice started to waver as her eyes watered a bit. She willed herself not to cry, she couldn't cry in front of him...she didn't want to. But it was like her body wasn't listening to her as one tear rolled down her cheek, then another and before she knew it, she was crying. She buried her face into his mane as she let all these feelings go. With each breath of air a sob would rack her body as she cried.

Sevi's words brought Ravi to attention as he was now curious and his eyes showed it. His ears pricked forward as he turned to look at her. She was looking for him, but why? He wouldn't have left without saying goodbye or anything of that sort. He'd never forgive himself if he did that. Sevi was just too pure, too innocent for him to do that. He would protect her, he had vowed that to himself so many moons ago that he had almost forgotten it. As Sevi started to speak, he gave her his full attention. Her words echoed inside of him as he took them in. So she was looking for him, now that's real interesting.
Though, his heart started to race as her words took on a meaning, a meaning he was hoping for but didn't want to raise his hopes. Sevi felt the same way for him too?! As she spoke about her parents and the attack and her secret longing, he couldn't help but feel the raw emotions in her words. It wasn't long before he could feel a large smile grow on his face, but it didn't stay there long as she buried her face into his mane to cry. He let her cry, she needed to get all her emotions out because keeping them bottled up inside was doing her no good. After he felt her sobs die down a bit, he moved his head so that he could take a good look at her. His white angel was stained with tears, and they were all because of him.
He leaned forward and licked the tears away gently, affectionately. Tears did not suit his angel, a smile did. But, she was so confused and without any guidance, so it was to be expected. It sounded a lot like him when he was just coming-of-age, he didn't know anything and got everything thrown at him all at once. Perhaps he was a bit tactless when he confessed to her, but he didn't think he would be able to go another day without telling her. His heart was burdened enough as it was.
His eyes were soft, full of love as he gazed at her teary, green eyes, "Sevati, I could never hold any hard feelings against you. You are so innocent, that I'd feel ashamed of myself if I had done so," He nuzzled her wet cheek gently, "We can't expect to know everything in life, and what we don't learn from our parents we learn from others or on our own. I know what it's like to not having loving parents to look up to. I never knew my father, my mother would not speak of him when I asked, so I stopped asking. I might have been a bit tactless in my confession, but I felt it was unfair to you if I didn't tell you. I don't like keeping things from you, because it would not be right nor fair to you. You have done everything for me that I felt it was duty to tell you. But please, do not apologize for something you couldn't control."
He paused to let her take that in, as he could tell with her miffled state that he'd need to take it slowly for her to grasp everything. He was trying not to jump up and down with joy, but he couldn't have his Sevati all sad now. "Not a day goes by where I don't thank the heavens that you came to my rescue. I can never thank you enough for that, and I just feel so awful that your beautiful coat had to be marked in such an ugly fashion. I vowed to protect you, and I will do just that." He looked at her, "I vowed to protect you, because Sevati, you are special and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You don't know how happy I am to hear you say that. I am happy that I am the one that filled your longing desire."

Cries and sobs racked the white lioness until Sevati could cry no more. She let out all her pain, all her anguish, all her resentment, all her confusion until she felt numb. Ravi's mane was all wet, but she knew he wouldn't mind. She could cry all over him, drench him in tears and he would not mind one bit. That's what she loved about him, he supported her no matter what. And that's what she was grateful for. She felt the sobs slow down until they stopped. It was then that she felt Ravi move. His warm touch cleaned her face, her face was all wet with tears.
Her heart fluttered every time she felt Ravi's touch. It was so soft, so gentle that she didn't want him to stop. He comforted her in a way that made her want time to stop. She blinked her eyes a few times before she dared to look at him. It was his eyes that caught her off-guard. They were so soft, so different that she got lost in their golden gaze. Breaking away her gaze from his own, she looked down at her paws, feeling very vulnerable at the moment but completely comfortable with that. It was Ravi, the male she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. She wanted to share everything with him, for him to know her inside and out.
She shook her head, "No, it's not your fault Ravi. It's just something I had never expected, nor had anticipated either. I just never thought that falling in-love would ever happen." That just never crossed her mind. "I can't imagine what my life would be like without you here by my side. I was scared, scared of what it would be like waking up each day by myself. I just can't imagine it. I am comfortable with you, and enjoy being with you Ravi." She was surprised though, he wanted to protect her. How valiant! She gazed straight at him, wanting him to hear this clearly as she spoke it softly, "Ravi, I love you."

The waves rolled in and out before the duo as the sun was just about setting. The sea breeze had cooled off a bit as Ravi wrapped his tail around Sevi's. He wanted to touch her, to help reassure her that he was here. He gave her a large smile as he heard her words. "I guess we should both expect the unexpected then, Sevi!" He chuckled, feeling as if a large weight had been pulled off his chest. This was just fantastic! He definitely wouldn't have to worry about feeling awkward around Sevi any longer, that's for sure.
He nodded his head in agreement, he dearly enjoyed waking up to his white angel each morning. That was something he deeply cherished and deep down, wished his mother had this kind of happiness he was feeling at the moment. His mother more than deserved this kind of happiness afterall. Just as he was about to say something, Sevi's final words blew away everything. Time had literally stopped for the male as he couldn't do anything but blink. Did he just imagine that or did Sevi just say what he thought she said?!
He tilted his head and looked at her with his mouth open wide, trying to get words to form but to no avail. He was just too flabbergasted to say anything at the moment. He closed his mouth, for fear of looking like a fool before he went to lick her cheek once more. Attempting to speak, "I..um...Wow." He gave her a large smile, "Sevati, you have been and always will be my white angel, my savior."

At Ravi's wide smile, Sevati returned one of her own. Giggling softly at his speechless moment. It wasn't everyday that she saw Ravi speechless afterall! Leaning against him, she peered back towards the ocean, not wanting this moment to end. Her life finally felt complete. Things began to fall into place, and it wasn't until now that she realized things had started falling into place once she had saved Ravi. The sun had just dipped below the horizon as the stars were starting to twinkle brightly over the two. She wondered if she had any relatives up there, looking down on her. While her father's side would probably scorn her fiercely, she knew her mother's side would be welcoming and happy for her. At least she knew her father liked Ravi. She couldn't ask for anything more.
Her ears flicked as she placed her paw on Ravi's, "Your white angel?" She questioned quietly, not really wanting an answer. It was interesting afterall, but she loved it. This is how things should be. Her lime green eyes were bright as she spoke softly, "Things will just be as they should be, Ravi. Everything feels right when I'm with you, like it should be." She leaned against him and closed her eyes.
