Basking in the sun, Siltim let out a yawn as he blinked his eyes a few times. His nieces and nephews kept him busy as he helped his sister take care of them. His lime green eyes glanced over towards his family's den, looking at all the sleeping forms but not seeing someone in particular. Chu'mana. She had gone off the other day to see the Queen and he had taken her around, just a little, to show her the sights. But, he couldn't help but smile at the mere thought of being with her. He felt giddy and carefree whenever he was with her and he deeply enjoyed her company. He let out a sigh, before glancing back up looking for the green lioness as he whispered softly, "Chu'mana...Chu'mana, where have you gone?"

It had been a long day for this bright green lioness. Nothing seemed to of gone right. First, she had woken up later than she had wanted to, making her late to see the sunrise. Second, she had trouble hunting, and she wasn't able to catch any food for herself. Last, but not least, she had somehow stubbed her paw, making her feel pain every time she walked on it. With her ears back against her head, and her yellow eyes looking both pained and simply annoyed, this lioness wasn't in the mood for anything funny.
So, with the hopes that she could actually have something go right today, she had headed off to see Siltim. He always made her smile.. And she could surely use that right about now. She didn't want to be all grumpy and grouchy.. But with the way the day had gone, how could she not be?

As some time passed, Siltim's lime green eyes spotted a familiar figure off in the distance. Ah! Just who he was thinking about. As he was about to smile, he noticed something peculiar about her walk. Concerned, his ears were pricked foward as he called to her gently, "Chu'mana."
Things didn't seem to be going as smoothly for the green lioness as he had hoped. But then again, this was all new to her. He sat up and waited for her to get closer so that he could comfort her. A smile would always cheer her up! Just like his mother would do with him when he was younger.

The lime green lioness looked up for a brief second, as her ears caught wind of something, and she saw her dear friend off in the distance. He was waiting for her. At first, a small sign of expression change came about, but as yet another seer of pain surged through her paw, a scowl completely rewrote her face.
"Damn paw. Why do you have to hurt? Might asss well cut you off...", she cursed to herself, her ears glued to her head and her tail lashing slightly behind her.

Noticing that Chu'mana was having trouble, Siltim got up and made his way towards the lioness. It would be awful of him not to help assist her if he could help it. Once he was close to her, he noticed her injury. Worry seeped through him as he went to nudge her cheek gently, "Lean on me, so at least you can talk to me instead of your paw!" He gave her a sheepish smile with a flick of his tail. "I was wondering where you had gone off to, I was hoping I didn't lose you!" He'd have to help get her mood up since he could tell that she was bummed at the moment, and that wouldn't do! Well, since he didn't want to put more strain on her paw, he decided that going to wander around today was out of the question. On the other hand, he'd have to think of something else.

Chu'mana merely stared at Siltim, not saying a word. However, she gladly accepted his help, leaning on him and holding her paw up so she wouldn't walk on it anymore. What a relief! It was already really swollen, and she didn't want it to hurt, not get any bigger than it already was.
"Thank you...", she whispered, still not cracking a smile towards him. Her yellow eyes merely stared forward, concentrating on getting to a place to sit down and take care of her injured paw.

The pace was slow and steady as Siltim made sure not to go too fast for Chu'mana. It took some time, but the den was close by. The tree that stood in front of the den was very welcoming as he stopped there and motioned for Chu'mana to do the same. As soon as that was out of the way, he'd put all his energy into helping Chu'mana since her foot didn't look too pleasant. His lime eyes gazed at her, worried. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Chu'mana sat down and looked about. She wasn't sure of what to do, or what she wanted Siltim to do. She wanted help.. More than anything. However, she was too afraid to ask, for what ever reason. So, she stared at her paw, seeing how big it was, feeling it throb slightly. Then, she looked up and over at Siltim, her yellow eyes filled with desperate sadness.
"Look pleasse..?", she asked quietly, holding her paw out to him.

Chu'mana's eyes caught Siltim's own as his breath was caught in his throat. She looked so sad, it pained him! He nodded, not trusting his voice as the moment as he bent down to examine her paw. It didn't look to be in the best of shape. Whatever she did to it, or whatever did that to her, left a nasty mark. Though, it would definitely be best for her to stay off it for a while so that it'd heal properly. Lime eyes gazed back up at her as he said softly, "It doesn't look all too pleasant right now, I think it might be best for you to rest it and not do too much on that foot so it can heal." He smiled softly to her, hoping to cheer her up, "If you need anything, let me know. I will be more than happy to help," He leaned forward, "Plus, a smile suits you better, Chu'mana."

The lioness nodded her head, her yellow eyes looking back down at her paw. She couldn't quite remember what had happened to it... But it was something bad, especially if it made her paw hurt this much. Plus, she knew Siltim was right. Keeping off of it was best, for now.
However, she couldn't help but to crack.. Even the tiniest bit.. Of a smile. Siltim had cheered her up once again. "A smile?", she questioned, her eyes looking back up at him and her paw resting on the ground now. "Is that so?" What a goofball he was.

At her question, he nodded his head. Siltim couldn't help but smile brightly, "But of course! A frown is just facing the wrong direction and needs a little help to be put right." He couldn't help but chuckle softly, "Life's too short to not be smiling!" His mother always told him that and he liked to adopt that as his motto. Lime green eyes caught that small smile, even if she was trying to hide it, he knew that she wanted to smile. "I'm glad to have found you, at the very least, I have someone to smile and spend my time with!"

He surely did have a way with words. No matter what he said, every time he tried to describe something like a smile, it always came out goofy and weird. That in itself put a smile on Chu'mana's face, even when she didn't want one there. Right now was one of those times, as her face was becoming wide with a girlish grin, her white teeth baring a little bit.
"Sssiltim.. You are a nut casse. Do you know thisss?" Carefully putting herself into a lying down position, the lioness made sure to not have her paw hurting her in any way, curling it up and placing it on top of her other paw. "Plusss, why would you want to sspend time with me, much lesssss ssee me sssmile?"
Damn that cursed hissing.

Lime eyes watched Chu'mana carefully, making sure she was alright. Siltim really does worry for her, since she is very special to him. He couldn't help but wonder if he really was a nut care. Nah! Of course he wasn't! He blinked, pretended to be hurt, "Aww, really? I never knew that...how come no one never told me!" He went to lie down next to the green lioness, he didn't want to be sitting and looking down at her. He wanted to be on the same level as herself, and this made him slightly flustered.
Her question though, was curious indeed. Why was this? He tilted his head with an innocent look, "Why would I not want to spend time with you! I like being with you." He said honestly, he really liked being with her, even more so than his family. It was refreshing to be with others, especially since she was one of his first friends! "You're special and you're smile is special, that's why you should always smile so you'll be doubly special to me!" He said playfully.

Her yellow eyes shifted back and forth some, looking from her good friend back down to her paw. She had something on her mind, it was obvious. However, she didn't want to speak of it, as she feared that it was something that just wasn't ready to be discussed yet... At least not on her part.
"Sspeccial?", she asked quizzically. "How am I sspeccial to you? I know you've probably said before.. But I can't remember." Her yellow eyes wandered back up to her green friend, looking at his lime green eyes. "Sssiltim...", she whispered quietly, hoping he hadn't heard that.

Ears pricked forward as lime eyes turned to look at Chu'mana. Her question was a hard one to answer as Siltim wasn't sure of the answer himself. He loved being with the female, and his mother made a comment that made him blush from head to toe. Were his feelings turning from friendly to romantic? He gave Chu'mana a lopsided grin as looked at her. "I remember saying that before, but you don't remember?" He pretended to pout before speaking again, "It's not every day I bring home a friend and my mom completely adores you."
Adding on to what he was saying, his face was getting slightly heated and he hoped that he wasn't blushing, "I like being with you the most, we have the most fun together. I can look forward in the mornings to spending some time with you."
