Avedis licked his lips, as his purple paws dipped dead in the soggy ground at the side of the river. Each flash of silver, each flip from a juicy fish made his mouth water. His parents, were gone, and the smell of humans had littered the outside of the den. Everyone was gone, but the cold tiny bodies he had found of his sisters. He had walked, water was easy enough, but food, he haddn't eaten more then scavenger picking's and he was thin, his stumach grabbed at itself in hunger.

He set his face, and dove it into the cool water, but came up empty. He licked his dripping maw, with a tiny pink tounge. His purple fur dripped, and his green eyes looked sollom as he flopped down in the muck with a soft squish. THe siver fish, seemed to be darting mockingly infront of him, and those big eyes followed it.

Avedis opened one eye wearly, and thats when he saw her. A large female wolf, a shineing white with goldish, as whell as a few blue markings on her body. He instantly was on his feet, the muddy ground making a sucking sound as he stood. He was covered from the maw down, in dripping brownish mud on his bright purple fur, but it only seemed to pop his emerald eyes.

He barred his teeth, as he attempted to back up, and away even though there was a river between them. The mud only making his slghtly emaciated form more promenet. He growled and snapped as he slipped this way and that on the bank, he fell upon his face still showing his teeth. "Who... Who are you?!"

His eyes widened when he saw that white maw, and in it, one of those glittering meaty beauties. His stumach rumbled, loud and he watched it like a wolf in a trace, his puppish pride all but vanishing at the sight of something that could be food. Instincts, and little else took over as he ran into the water then out, then in again until she had reached dry land. THis surved to clean him off, but as soon as she reached the solidness of ground, he plopped his behind infront of her. His head was leaning back to look at the fish, forpaws half off the ground. And if he was running less on insticts, he may wave been embaresed by the drool that dripped from between his lips.

His eyes narrowed, as he pounced upon the flopping fish, and his little teeth took a few bites before he tore threw the scales, and to the suclent meat before. He ate, and ate until the bones really were licked clean. He chewed on it, and then stopped looking up as if seeing the wolf closly for the first time. "Why, you nice to Avedis?" He asked with that childish, not fully grasped love of the language.

"Oh.." He felt the paw on his head, and puffed up a little. "Mommy, and daddy gone. Sisters, no wake up. Me alone." He hung his head, and then flopped upon his belly with a respunding thud, suprisingly loud for his small body. He licked his lips again, as if trying to make sure no flavor escaped him. He wimpered a little, and looked up at Cy. "Cy have family?" He asked softly, watching her with curious emerald eyes.

Avedis stood up, and strutted with puppish pride over to the river, saw a silver fish, darted for it and addded face first in the gravel. When he raised his head, he caughed up a bit of water, and then slunk to the bank again and lay down under the scattered shade of an old, dieing tree. He looked up at her, "Cy, leave Avedis?" He said, tears he tryed to hold back shineing in his eyes.

Avidis smiled, his tail wagging faster and faster as he stood up, so his behind wagged with its movements. He stood up, and walked over to her, till he could nuzzle her leg, looking up at her with big emerald eyes, "Thank you Cy, Me no alone anymore." His eyes closed, and his tail stopped wagging as he yawned loudly.

Avedis smiled, and rubbed up against her leg with her muzzle more. THen another big yawn escaped his maw, and he looked up at her with sleepy green eyes. "Okay," He fell to her side, looking around for a good place to sleep.
