Des opened his eyes slowly. Waking up to a watery vision under the lake. He rose to the top of the lake and took a big breath when he surfaced. He scratched his finned ears and moved his wet hair out of his way. Looking around and seeing if anyone was taking a dip in the lake "It's always so empty here and they call this place a beach?"

Coral had spent the morning looking for oddly shaped shells. Just for fun really. Then she spotted him. Another Naiad and a teen. She had just grown and needed to try out new jokes.
Coral swam over to him. "Morning." She said with a smile and held out a hand. Always had to try out her power. It was good for a laugh anyway.

"Hello?" He looked towards the direction he heard the voice and saw a naiad holding out her hand. He was almost surprised to actually see another naiad and a female one too A girl, naiad, thank you god! He smiled in his mind wide and almost was ready to leap out of the water for joy. He was so happy to finally meet a girl naiad, or maybe his teenager mind was, who cared. He reached for her hand and grabbed it softly "Hey I'm Des"

Coral smiled and shook the other teen's hand. Her power then sent a small shock. She smiled and bit at that. "My name's Coral. What's yours?" She asked. Jokes couldn't start just yet.

"Uh, Des" He felt his hand get shocked and pulled it away "Oh I see, that's why you look like a clown fish, heh, funny" He waved his hand around dipped in the water Don't tell me she's not into me, damn first female naiad and I'm rejected He was overeacting a bit though.

"Clown fish? Is that what I looke like?" Coral chuckled and then winked. She of course knew that's what she looked like. "So, do you like jokes? I am a bit of a clown alright."

"Uh, sure, I guess?" He wasn't sure what else to say, jokes weren't his strong point though. He waved his tail around in the water and looked at her. She seemed nice and his teenage mind was defiantely in full control, maybe alittle too much in control" He moved his ahir out of his way again and listened carefully.

Coral smiled and looked at the teen. "Okay. Why did Jazz the Elder of Entertainment go to the bottom of the lake?" She asked with a nod. He might not know who she was talking about, so she added the title.

"To get sole." Now of course would he get it? Soul the music and Sole the fish? Coral had that happen to her so often now. Still, she thought it was funny and laughed at her own joke. Sometimes she did this to get the other to laugh even if they didn't get it.

"Oh, heheh" He laughed alittle, but not as much as her I have no idea what she's talking about. I thought I was suppose to laugh not her? He was alittle confused, but he guessed it was the right way This is different from what the books said

Coral smiled. "Hey, do you kow any jokes? I always tell them and wondered if others knew any?" She asked him with a nod and smile. This boy seemed nice but she wasn't sure if he liked jokes or not.

Of course Coral did know the answer to this one, but she always found it rude to say the punch line for the comic. That's their job. And an old bad joke could always be spiced up by the comic. "I don't know why?" She asked with a gleam in her eye.
