In their own way all the Houses have contributed different things. Gryffindor is Harry's House, where he met his close friends who have become something like a surrogate family to him. Slytherin gives us the ones we all love to hate because they're the bad guys. Ravenclaw & Hufflepuff we don't see much of but they still play integral parts. Cedric was a Hufflepuff & Ron's date for the Yule Ball was a Ravenclaw.

hufflepuff and ravenclaw did had their integral part. but for me, sliytherin is the most familiar house. because they are known for being bully.gryffindor had its limelight since harry was sorted to join their house.

Well Hufflepuff had Cedric, who rocks, and Ravenclaw has Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, and Padma Patil. Yay for Ravenclaw alliteration!
Other than that really, neither of these two houses has contributed much. sad

I don't know, you kinda have to look past the characters who appear more to the House itself & the students who don't get a lot of, if any, recognition.

I agree with everyone who said that Slytherin contributed alot because every book has their bad people and Slytherin took the job with grace mrgreen

Slytherin definately gives whole new meaning to the role of the bad guys. The characters aren't just plain evil, they're more complex than that & that's a good thing, it helps keep things interesting.

slytherin makes the story specially in quidditch! when the competition is about glory, gryffindor and slytherin are always on the first option! although ravenclaw had defeated gryffindor once.
