So, yesterday someone walks up to me and says "I LOVE your tomboy Lolita style!!" I can see where she gets that idea. Almost everyday, I wear a top hat, vintage frilly button-up shirts, elaborate overcoats... But I never really thought about a tomboy Lolita style. Does anyone else think its possible?

-...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.- Yeah, my bassist dresses in boystyle. It is adorable! I love when girls dress like that.

EGA is the abbreviation for that part of Mana's label.
There is boystyle (a.k.a. Kodona), Aristocrat, Ouji (Prince), and Dandy.

-...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.- EGA is also a fashion style, the counterpart to EGL. Though it is a part of Mana's label, it is also considered just as much a style as Kodona.

Technically, EGL and EGA have wheedled their way into the standard vocabulary describing the styles and are pretty commonly used across the board. At the same time, for people who are learning about the style it's probably best to clarify for them that they also refer to a brand, rather than just the style, y'know? So. I say you're both right. ..

EGA is like a sub-section of Gothic Aristocrat. But yes, as many have said above your style sounds more dandy or aristocrat than lolita. I'd like to see pictures. heart

It can be done, but it's harder to pull off that way. A hat, it doesn't have to be a top hat either, helps with the image significantly; sort of how a hairbow or headdress helps out with a lolita's look.

I sometimes have people say things similar to that to me. Mostly becuase ive broken the lolita law by not really likeing to wear skirts but i adore the blouses! So I like to wear knickerbockers, puffy shorts or capri shorts with knee high socks and my rocking horse shoes. I layer a blouse with sometimes suspenders and a pageboy hat. Sometimes i curl my hair and sometimes i dont. It just depends on my mood that morning. One day i will post some pictures blaugh

I dress ouji/dandy all the time, because I don't really have any skirts.
