(( AIM log, Iva and Tahara <3 ))
Funny how fast time seemed to pass between seeing each other. Tahara hadn't seen Iva since that "spat" of theirs in his den, and found her days were less quirky, but a bit dull. Between having nothing to do and running to and from the desert she was really growing tired, so she'd slept that afternoon, only to find that she couldn't sleep come nightfall.
Finding herself a watering hole to sip from she stopped to take a drink, ears tucked low to her back, but listening as well as they could in that position for signs of danger.

A hare crept through the grass.
No, he wasn't creeping because of lions, or birds or whatever. He was creeping.. Because of crocodiles. See, crocodiles, he couldn't do anything to them; lions he could pull their whiskers, birds he could steal the feathers. But crocodiles.. well. He couldn't do anything to them besides kick their eyes and.. Frankly, they were hard to reach, y'know. Behind all those teeth.
However, what he was as he got near the water wasn't a crocodile. Nope. It was a.. hare! And he knew this hare-- yes. He did. They hadn't been on very good terms last they'd met. However, Iva couldn't help but be amused by Tahara's presence. They just kept runnin in ter eachother, din' the?
He crept carefully foreward, and stood on his hind paws, then...
"BAAAAAAH! "
Hey, one could try and have fun, right?

Oh, Tahara, so oblivious to the "danger" creeping up right behind you. Her senses alerted her to his presence just a fraction of a second too late, and though she knew he was there, her brain just didn't have enough time to register who it was or what it was before he got the jump on her. With a great start, Tahara screamed, and in her frightful attempt to spin around, tripped and fell right into the water, back first.

Pff. Pfffttff. Pfffffaa..PFFAHAHA.
Yes. That was probably the sound he was making right now. Because that reaction was just priceless! Priceless, y'hear?! Seriously! It was /awesome/.
" Oh my GOSH Tahara! " He laughed, covering his face with a paw, though clearly this was an attempt to stop his own laughing. If he didn't stop, he might choke! Well.. Okay, that might be too much.
" I can't believe you fell for thart one. " He grinned meekly, crouching by the waters edge and looking at her mischievously. " Is the water nice? " The hare flicked his tail. He could use some distraction-- he'd recently learned a hyena was planning to kill him. Like. Really planning on him. Not just as any other prey! So a spat with Tahara didn't seem bad right about now.

As most prey creatures go, hares, mice, and birds likely had the quickest heartrate. Jumpy things, they were, along with meerkats. It took quite some doing to calm down at all, especially when she felt so ANGRY. As she sat there on her tuckus, which was quickly soaking in the water, she glared and grit her little rodent teeth, growling. Her ears went flat, and in a fit of rage she lunged at Iva, pouncing at him much like lions did with one another when at play, only she wasn't really playing. Lucky she didn't have claws, ey?
"You are the most IDIOTIC male I've EVER MET!!!" She fumed, glaring.

Aaaaaaah.
crap.
Iva choked down his laughter, and attempted his best to leap over Tahara's lunge but.. well, seeing as she was coming from -water-. He landed in it, wetting himself in the process. However, he didn't mind getting a little wet.
"Aww, c'mon! You were just /asking/ for it! " He grinned, trying not to stop moving just in case she went at him again, and trying to find a safe route out of the water.
"You were just sittin' there! "

"And how, may I ask, is that ASKING for anything except to be left in peace?! It's not bad enough I have to deal with you when I'm aware your there, now you have to bug me when I'm not, too?!" She continued to glare, clearly still on the defensive from their last encounter. Stupid male, what did he know, and why did he insist on bugging her? She sneered a bit. Odd how he'd saved her life once, yet here they were on the bring of a tolerance/dislike relationship. "What do you want anyway at this hour?"

"Hey, it was funny. " He stuck his tongueout, crossing his arms and looking inevitable childish. However, this was still an act. He was just playing. "Gee, sorry miss I can't take a joke! " He rolled his eyes, pretending to look hurt.
"Same as you, fer water. And I was sneakin' b' cuz of them crocs. " He blinked. This place didn't seem like it had them, but he still wanted to be cautious. " I'm a hawk hunter, not a croc one. " He played a bit with the word there, perhaps making it sound a bit more like ' crawk' , if only for his own amusement.

"Idjit." She snarked anyway, moving to all fours so she could shake the water from her pelt, her tail going last. "Don't do that again. I've got enough troubles to worry about without worryin' about you." Man, someone was cranky this evening. "Not to mention you might wake the damned predators with all that racket."

"Oooh, yeah! Loosen up a bit. " He rolled his eyes, hopping out of the water and shaking himself dry, perhaps wetting Tahara a bit-- not entirely by accident. "If anythin' , Ah've got more problems then you, so you shouldn't be so cranky. "
He grinned. Cranky! Had. He was treating her like a kid. How fun. " Yew try being targetted, mkay? Tell me how that feels. " As prey, Iva had long gotten used to something wanting to kill and eat him. But still, something with a specific target that was him was just too much.

She huffed, shutting her eyes and forcing herself to calm down a little. "Let me guess, that Hyena you pissed off wants to settle a score with you."
Well it was... a shot in the dark, so she'd be surprised if the answer was yes.

"Uh.. Yea. " He shrugged. "Ah've pissed off a lot. But this morbid creature prolly thinks she'll somehow get somethin' by killin' me. Ha! " He rolled his eyes, crossing his paws and looking bored.
"Some maned wolf told me. Knew 'er name an' evr'thin'. Said she wanted ter kill me. " He couldn't help but grin at the idea, however. What would a hyena get by killing him? Its not like it'd be a lasting satisfaction. "And I'm prolly gonne have ter find a way ter move all me feathers and junk. And make a deeper den. Buuut no biggie. Puku'll help. " Yes, ignore the fact Puku is a mouse.
"So, whats your problem? "

Her first reaction would have been to snark that he should probably be more nervous than he acted, but instead she stared at him in a measuring manner from the corner of her eye and opted to drop it. He might be putting up a brave front, and even if he weren't, she didn't feel she had anything to gain by making him feel lousy.
"I need a break from -you-, that's my problem. Something I can't seem to solve on my own, it seems." She muttered. "I'm just tired, and don't appreciate having my skin and fur scared off of my bones by prankster children." She shot him a look, then moved from the water's edge more completely, to take some shelter on the more dry bank.

"Pff. " Was Iva's reply. Pff. Simple. No need for more, right? However, more was always funner..
So instead Iva hopped oer to where Tahara had moved. "Well, if you're tired, " He said, with a smug sort of edge. "Yuo should relax. And then, maybe if you're -reaaaally- lucky, something will come along 'n eat you! " He grinned, clapping his front paws together like he'd found a birlliant solution to her problem.

"Or you." She gave a sarcastic smile, turning her back to the male. "So, Iva, why -is- it that you seem incapable of leaving me be? Are you attracted to me, or something?" To which she already knew what the answer would be, but that didn't mean she couldn't tease him as if it were true anyway. He wasn't the only one able to play this game.
