An Rp for Avy and Byagane,
Set shortly after the Hades has left the docks.
Caspian was relieved to be at sea again, Land was too still, too stable.. he'd been busy for a while, moving around the deck, checking his crew were all in order, all aboard and all sound in body and mind. It was a pleasure to be with his closest friends once again, on an adventure that would hopefully lead them to wealth and adventure.
He was now, however, taking a moment to enjoy the peace and quiet of his cabin, to check his things were all in place and that nothing had been forgotten, he knew his crew would go about their work and make sure everything was complete, taken care of and accounted for. Xaelia would be bothering the men as well, making sure none of them steped out of line, helping the bO Sun in her own pecky way.
Life was good right now.

Raguel needed to find Caspian. The Bo'Sun had a very important matter to discuss with him in reguards to Keita. No one knew of the events that had transpired between the rugged Bo'Sun and the quiet Doctor, but he had made a promise to Keita that he would speak to Caspian about the matter. But his job came first so he completed all his usual chores and demands before finally spotting his fellow one-eyed elf. "Captain, I need a word with you if you have a moment. There is a pressing matter that you need to be made aware of in reguards to Keita."

Caspian looked up to greet his fellow pirate, a broad smil eon his lips.
"A serious tone for so early in a voyage my friend.." The captain stated, the smile not wavering as he peered at Raguel though his one green eye.
"But still it is a request I could hardly refuse you.. come.. the safety and wellbeing of the crew is of course a prine interest of mine.." he ushered his friend into his cabin with him, the dark wood and red interior was comfortable in his opinion,
"We'll talk in here, to save any ears who you might not which to hear.. from hearing us.." he grinned and pushed the door firmly shut again, striding across the room in a surprisingly strong way, despite his mannerisms and his nacy like appearance, Caspian was quite a strong fellow, and had had much potential in his days at court until.. the event.. had driven him away from his family and home... he never spoke of his time in the unseelie kingdom.

"Thank you. As a bit of secrecy is needed for this matter. I have been entrusted with this knowledge and you may do what you think best with it."
The Bo'Sun took a seat and sighed a bit, his dark hand running through his light hair. "I have been having many discssions with Keita and he's revealed something to me that might put the crew in danger should a situation arise. You have seen his tattoos right? The blue ones on his neck and hands?" He was nervous but didn't show it. He hoped Caspian wouldn't drop Keita off at the next port after he told him about this.

Caspian relaxed into his red cusioned chair, and carelessly flicked his feet up onto his desk, his eye on Raguel as he began to speak, the green gaze could be horribly intesne when he wanted it to be, it was somthing to do with how well the colour stood out against the rest of him.
"I've seen the markings.." Caspian stated, noddin ghis head once, a thoughtful frown ceasing his brow at the mention of the the crew being in danger..
"Before we go any further though , why pret tell does Keita send you to me..? Does he not feel that he can speak with me himself in matters of... well, urgency I suppose, if the crew is in danger.." he looked a little worried, the froen still there, though it was consternation, not anger that shower with it.
He didnt want to be shut off from his men.. they were as much of a family has he really wished for most of the time.

The smile that graced Raguel's face showed that he had a good explination. His one blue eye was just as intense as Caspian's green, only it seemed more cold. "The matter is upsetting to him as it is a personal matter. He fears he would not be able to completely tell you everything without succuming to his emotions. So he asked me to do it."
He crossed his leg onto his knee and looked to his Captain. "Well, the marks are like a signal to how he is feeling. Normally they are blue, which means he's calm and happy. But should he get sad or scared, they will change color. But there's one color that could signal a problem. And that's the color red, his rage." He looked at the other elf with an expression he had used many times, one that said to be honest. "He never told you why he joined the ship did he?"

Caspian shrugged slightly,
"I never made a point of telling any of you my reasons for leaving the shore and taking to the waters, and though I am sure everyone of of you has their own reason, that business is not mine to ask about.. when you give up your past to become a man of the sea and succumb to the blue ladies fair alure, you are free'd of you past.. your history no longer follows you.." at least it haddnt follwed Caspian for the last fifty years...
"And you become whoever you wish to be.. I never told my story.. so I could hardly expect anyone to tell me theirs.." he smiled slightly..
"I can only guess then, my friend.. that you now plan to tell me exactly why our esteemed surgeon chose to become part of this unruely troublesome crew..?" He smiled again, his gaze still meeting the equal gaze of his bo'sun.. He had alway s liked the stregnth behind Raguel's eyes.. it was somthing he could hold a lot of respect for.

Raguel smirked softly as Caspian spoke of leaving the past behind when one became a pirate. It wasn't as easy as he made it seem of course, Raguel had the worst time leaving his past behind since he had to revisit it so often. Not to mention the 150 years of training he recieved under his mother's guiding hand could never be forgotten. He nodded as the Captain made the obivious statement. "Yes, I am. Because it is important that you know."
He sat back a bit, his blue eye seeming to loose some focus as he gathered his thoughts. Despite his nearly one hundred years as a pirate Raguel was still extremely well spoken and thoughtful. Maybe except when he was drunk. "From what he's told me, Keita has only experienced rage once. And that was when a band of pirates attacked his home. They killed his parents infront of him, sending him into a blood thirsty rage that would put many of us to shame. Unfortunately Keita has no control over himself when he reaches this point." He Bo'Sun sighed unhappily as he spoke of this. It seemed so unlike the gentle surgeon to be like that. "Unlike when we fly into the heat of the battle, Keita's cannot choose whom he attacks. He apparently took innocent lives as well as pirate lives. His family lost he decided to find the rest of the pirates who destroyed his life and destroy them in return. So what better way to find a pirate than to become one yourself."
He waited to see Caspian's reaction. He knew the Captain would come to the conclusion that Keita could be a risk to the crew should he ever fly into a rage while on board. But he already had a plan on how to deal with that situation, should it ever arise. He would tell his captain his idea after hearing his responce.

Caspian frowned slightly, concern showing easilly on his face as he thought. This was definately a problem... his child for one, was on board.. and well, the crew were like his family.. this seemed akin to leaving a fox in a pen of chickens.. but at the same time.. as long as the crew was made aware.. but then again would they trust him..
The situation was indeed a difficult one, Caspian frowned a little more.
"This is indeed.. curious news.." he stated, his mind reviewing the gentle hand of the surgeon, the kind face and the almost coy smile..
"It would have been highly unlikely that I would have guessed this news had you not told me of it.." he stated, his fingers lifting to massage his chin as he thought.
"Now.. I can only presume that you have, yourself, given this matter some thought.. and It would do me well I feel to hear your suggestion as any answer of my own will obviously take some concideration as the pro's muct be weight against the cons.. a great surgeon, a friend to us all.. a kind word and a friendly ear when times are hard against the risk of death to my crew.." he pursed his lips..
"Sending him away will not be a popular answer, least of all to myself.. so I'm sure there has to be some better way...?" He smiled at the bo'sun, the man was quick off the mark a lot of the time..
"Suggest away my friend.."

Raguel grinned his rouge grin. Caspian always knew he had a fast mind and could come up with solutions in an instant. It's what made him a good Bo'Sun. "Yes, I have a solution. It won't be a fun solution but it will keep other's from being harmed. Keita doesn't stay in rage for too long of a time, just enough to scare the dickens out of whom ever is watching him attack. So we both came up with the idea that, if he should ever get into a rage, that we just throw him over board until he cools down. He smirked a bit at his idea, Keita had agreed it would be a good idea but it was still an amuzing picture. "Maybe tie something to him that will float so he doesn't drown, depsite that he's a good swimmer. Or if we can find a room strong enough to hold him just lock him in there. Though that is much more difficult that simply giving him a shoulder over the rail."
He waited for Caspian to answer again. His blue eye more relaxed but still showing his resolve to solve this problem. He wouldn't mention Keita's first idea, which involved Raguel putting a sword through his gut. That wasn't an answer, it was merely an escape with no other recourse.

Caspian nodded.
"Its better than doing away with him one way or another... and.. in the long run better to keep him among friends who would try to help him than a group of people who may not understand and think him demonic or possessed... or some other such nonsence.." he shook his head..
"Its still a risky course of action.. if whoever 'give him the shoulder' should be harmed.. should we not find ourselves in a position to give him a dunking.. I'm sure you see the risk that things will go wrong as well.." the captain rubbed his chin again.
"I cant let the obviously severity of this situation go as quickly as I would like.." he said quietly,
"But please know that I will not turn myself against our dear surgeon.. I am very fdond of Keita myself, and I do not wish to see him lost.. in any way.. It will just take some time to think of a way around this.. uh.. threat.." he nodded.
"I will have to talk to him myself some time..you would of course be welcome there.. and.. as I am sure you will see him before I do, please asure him that I wish him no ill fate, and I will not even thin upon the notion of casting him from my crew.. just.. make sure Macy doesnt near about this risk.. okay..?"

"Actually I was going to take on that responsibility myself. As the Bo'Sun it is my duty to make sure all sailors on this ship behave and are punished as it suits the crime. So, I feel it should be up to me to give him the shoulder." Raguel took his job seriously and would do what it took to keep everyone safe. He smirked his Captain as he mentioned Macy. "Believe me, after seeing his father, I have no want to give him any reason to be 'overprotective'."

Caspian nodded again.
"Thanks for that.. I dont really want Macy getting mad.. those horns are awful pointy you know.." he nodded.
"I had rather thought you might well offer to take on that responsibility.. and Keita seems to trust you a good deal.. I myself have more than enough faith in you to think this job would be safely done in your hands.. so.. I suppose that I have little reason to disagree with this plan.. I charge you then to ensure that our surgeon does not put any other member of this crew at immediate risk.. I charge to step in, at the peril of you own life.. and controll him if it does happen.. and regarding this notion you are to step down from this post and no ones orders except my own.." he looked at Raguel for confirmation that this was understood and accepted.
"If you need assistance in this matter come directly to me.. I do not want the rest of the crew to have this information at this time.. or perhapse ever. Is that understood my friend?"

"Aye Captain. I will do my duty as you have instructed. And I will keep it from the rest of the crew. Keita will feel much more at ease now that this matter has been delt with." He stood and nodded. "As that is all I shall return to my other duties." Get out quick, avoid Caspian asking when did he and keita start having heart to hearts. Mushy stuff always made him act silly.

Caspian would have bothered the Bo'Sun some more.. but he had had his suspicions about those two anyway..
"You make sure to look after him Bo'Sun.>" Caspian stated quite seriously, and pointedly..
"If I find you've hurt him.. well.. I'd have to challenge you to some kind of dual or other.. and that would be a chronic shame.." he smiled to himself.
"Tell him, when you see him, that I do wish to speak with him.. if you can spare him the time of course.. I bid you a good day for now.."
