I have had several goldfish die in the past, noramal? I think not for a few of them. Most of the goldfish die and are just dead, nothing on them. But a few goldfish had red bumps on their noses(the area of it) when I discovered the dead. One of them I had didn't have the bump the night before it died but the next morning it was dead in its tank and had the red bump. Has this ever happened to anyone and do they know what this bump is?

were they a few days from the store? sometimes fish can die just from the shock of being carried home. But it sounds like you might have a parasite of some kind in your tank. Here is a site that should help http://www.texaskoi.com/Articles/fish_parasites_101.htmWhat I do when I get feeder fish from the store is I treat them with the meds a few days after I get them. Then I wait a week after the meds are done before feeding them to my other precious fish. The most common is Ich.

If those are the only parasites to fish, then I wouldn't think that I had a parasite. I had a different tank when these deaths happened. I was just asking because I was curious and didn't want that to happen again. But the first one happened right after I moved, but none were a few days from the store.

it could have been just the shock of moving maybe? It could have been the stress was too much . Did you make sure the temp stayed the same?

Didn't have a tank thermomiter, nor did I have, or ever had, a tank heater. But how would the bump get on thier noses if they died from moving shock?

Um... Herrrmmmm. How big was the tank you were keeping the goldfish, in and how many fish were in it? Also gold fish don't need heaters, as they are cold water fish. Though acclimating them is an essential thing when getting new fish. I really need more information on the size of the tank and how many/how large the goldies were to determine what was the problem.
