Sawa yawned and nudged his partner in crime and offered a big grin. The two were sitting on a termite mound, much like a cheetah huntress would do. In fact, they were play-mimicking a few cheetah they saw across a long stretch of the grass. A mother teaching two older 'cubs' how to hunt. "Yeh missed it the o'er day. I met the finest of fine lookin' ladies I e'er laid eyes on!" He purred out. Siyo grunted and rolled his eyes, feeling irritable. All Sawa had been doing lately was messing around with girls. I mean that was okay, sometimes... but Siyo was beginning to feel horribly distant from his best friend. After the last growth spurt he'd become more girl crazy than ever!
"Oh, I bet." He snapped lightly, frowning and making a face at the other."Oy, oy!" He growled, giving the other a shove with his paw and they both laughed. "Don't be like tha', yer just jealous cause I didn't take yeh along this time." He smirked.

Isithunzi continued on, pretty much oblivious as normal to her surroundings. But in her head, the pounding of drums marched on; the lioness tried to remember everything from her old pride. Thoughts of that old place seemed to consume her mind of late, not that it was a bad thing. She went along, double-tapping a foot every now and then to make for a nice rhythm to her walk. That was, until some voices distracted the lioness from her song. She immediately bent down low, but was lucky to find that they were two adolescent males. She didn't mind males, and wasn't afraid of them so long as they weren't adults. These two couldn't be all that bad, right?
Normally she wouldn't go bother them, but something had gotten into the shadowy lioness today. She padded through the taller grass on her way. "Hello," she said tentatively, in case they did have a mean temper.

His eyes narrowed and he just grinned, his face looking a little funny like that. He couldn't very well stay mad at his best friend in the whole world!
His ears flickered as a new voice came into their conversation and his eyes darted to the female. He stared at her blankly, frowning."I told yeh these parts are crawlin' with'em." He whispered gleefully to his friend. He meant crawling with beautiful females, of course.
"Ello there miss." He replied back, grinning and nudging Siyo to say hello, but he wouldn't. "Yeh from aroun' these parts?"

Glad that the duo weren't too ill tempered, Isi pulled herself the rest of the way through the grasses and sat down with a smile. She didn't seem to be welcome by one, but maybe he could warm up to her? "Nope, I'm just passing through, why? Are you from around here?" the lioness asked, tilting her head a bit. "I'm Isithunzi, by the way, who are you two?" She asked, turning her eyes to the brighter red silent male with a genuinely innocent smile.

Oh great now she was smiling at him! A chill ran up his spine, he really hated smiling females. Growing up as short of a time with his mother as he had (the short time was enough to scar him probably for life) he hated females. They made him nervous and left him feeling lousy. Why had his mother hated his red pelt?
"M'names Siyo." He stated in a sulky manner. He hated his name but Sawa said it was great, Sawa wouldn't let Siyo give fake names. Sawa was not even named Sawa by his mother! His tail flicked."Nah, we aren' from annee where. Jus' wanderers." He grinned charmingly at her and gave Siyo a warning look. "My name is Sawa. 'sa pleasure Isi." He hoped she didn't mind the shortening of her name, it sounded a lot cuter to him.

Isi chuckled; Sawa had guessed her nickname off the bat. Given, it wasn't a hard one to guess, but she still smiled. "Nice to meet you guys, Siyo and Sawa," she said, with a slight dip of the head.
"So what do you guys do for fun?" She asked. "I've been just meandering for the past couple of days, I could use something fun to do," she said with a smile. Yes, the past few days had been very... dull. She'd much rather sit and tap out a rhythm, but she'd not really had the chance; whenever she stopped she was either really thirsty, hungry, or tired. This time, though, she was in fine condition.

He frowned and wanted to whap Sawa in the back of his head for giving him such a look but he was polite, he was calm and just sitting there. He was like a rock or a lump of earth. He just watched the interaction, he didn't want to be part of it.
For some reason he hated talking to girls (sometimes he did, it's true!) even more then Sawa was with him. And that was a lot of the time! For fun? "Ah well there be swimmin'... rhino baitin'.." His eyes flashed mischievously at that suggestion, he and Siyo loved rhino baiting. In fact he thought he caught a quick smile on his companion's face! "An' there always is talkin' with others... eh... it's basically do wa'e'er yeh can in these parts. If ya 'ave an imagination yeh can get yerself into enough trouble for it to be fun." He chuckled, only half kidding.

"Rhino baiting?" Isi asked. She knew what rhinos were, she knew what bait was, but she'd never thought of baiting a rhino! "Sounds dangerous," she said, the trouble-maker attitude that Sawa seemed to have rubbing off on her. "What do you do, exactly, to bait a rhino? And once you've got it, what then?" She asked, almost like a cub. She'd love to do that; sounded if nothing else, unique.

Sawa just chuckled and shook his head, motioning to Siyo. "Yeh be talkin' to the champ y'know." He gave her a cocky grin, glancing to Siyo. "So yeh should ask 'im." Siyo's face blanched and he glared at Sawa. He's much rather just be quiet thank you very much! His tail twitched and he just sighed and smiled slightly, shaking his head. Just like Sawa, making him talk to strangers.
"Usually i's done in pairs bu' I seen some lions 'ave big groupd when they rhino bait." He paused and thought about it a little. "The 'ole point o' rhino baitin' is ta be able teh get on the rhino's back an' ride it." Kind of a hard feet for a lion, but not impossible. "Yer friend baits the lion and yeh 'ave teh race after an' jump on." Actually when Siyo explained it it didn't really sound all that thrilling... but it was extremely dangerous.
"Bes' teh star' out with younger ones if yer beginnin." He muttered to her. He didn't want her getting hurt after all, right?"I think the longest I'd e'er seen Siyo stay on a rhino was about ten minutes!" He grinned. This was actually a very long time by the time you got on the rhino, which would go even more insane at this point.

((I love their accents. XD))
Isi's eyes widened. "Really? Cool," she said, looking around for any sign of rhinos. She knew they were highly irritable for no apparent reason... Particularly the older ones. "Ten minutes?!" She asked, snapping her attention back to the pair as Sawa said it. "That's a really long time, you must be pretty good, Siyo," she said with a smile to the quiet male. "Would you guys mind teaching me? Sounds like fun if you can run fast enough should you fall," she said with a chuckle, hoping to go.

(lol thanks. I think Asikari was actually the first lion in soa to have an accent >_>;;; that I know of, anyhow. And i like using it. so tada. Siyo and Sawa have it too -shot-) Teach her? No! No way no how! Teaching meant taking time from laying in the sun and from finding their next meal and she was probably --"Course we can teach yeh, i's tons a fun yeh know?" He just laughed and nudged Siyo again, who was starting to look pissy. Which probably cheered Sawa even more.
"An' yeh don' ge' tha' good until yeh star' stealin' yer food all the time.." He chuckled but didn't bother explaining the odd comment. He blinked and finally swatted Sawa with a paw. "Wadya mean? Jus' cause we 'ave teh run from the two-legs yeh think I'm good at it? Yeh jus' be jealous." He muttered and stood, stretching. "Supposin' we could teach yeh... 'ow fast can yeh run?" He was thinking about which rhinos to bother. Sawa and he knew quite a few of them in this area.

Isithunzi hadn't ever seen or heard of a two-leg... "You guys mean an ostrich? Wow, you really are fast!" She said, thinking of the only threatening two-legged beast that she could think of.
"I can run pretty fast," she said honestly. "I've caught impala before without a problem, and that was alone," she wondered if that would help them gauge her speed.

(-cracks up-) Siyo stared blankly at Isi for a moment before making eye contact with Sawa. They both cracked up. "Nah, no' an ostrich..." He had to pause to keep from cracking up again. "We mean the... the.." His face twisted as he concentrated and he looked slowly around, huffing. "Y'know. They are no' very 'airy... uh... hmm. An' they were other animals' pelts on 'em cause they do no'ave their own..." He trailed off and looked to Sawa for help.Sawa was just grinning like a freak, enjoying the mistake very much. She really didn't know what a two-leg was? She was cute! He just chuckled more and shook his head. "Do no' worry abou'it. Lesse... yeh soun' like yeh can 'andle a young adult. Le's go." He rose to leave.

She looked back and forth between the male's faces until Sawa said it didn't matter. Should she know about these two-legs? She shook it off just the same and followed after Sawa, glad that she was capable of something older than a baby. Inside her, her confidence boosted just the slightest bit. How hard could it be?
She wasn't concerned about getting hurt, she was more worried about how long she could ride it. Isi always had had a bit of a drive to be the best in anything she tried; this was no different. She followed with anticipation, glad to be doing something new.

The brighter red male followed behind the two, grumbling something under his breath. Basically this was Sawa trying to score. He rolled his eyes and wondered how hard Sawa would try to beat him if he mentioned this to the female.
He couldn't help but feel a certain bit of jealousy toward his best friend, full of confidence and bravado. He on the other hand was quiet and moody and (he felt) unattractive to the females. His tail flicked as he watched how Sawa moved and the way he was whenever he spoke to Isi. It didn't really matter did it? On the inside they were probably all cruel, heartless bitches. Like his mother.Sawa glanced behind him first to see if Isi was coming and then to check on Siyo. He wasn't foreign to the odd mood swings or the crumby attitude whenever Sawa had a female come with them somewhere. He thought Siyo would be used to it by now.... but perhaps not.
"Where we 'eadin' Si?" He cooed out with a devilish grin. "Do no' call me that!" He snapped, louder than usual and with embarrassment in his voice. Nicknames were for cubs! And as much as he hated his name he needed the full of it to be said. No matter what!
He took a deep breath and grunted. "Lef'othe Pridelands... to'rd Elephant's Puddle." He said slowly, nodding. Elephants puddle was a watering hole the two had gone to quite a bit, they named it to be called that name between each other. "An' if the gang i'sn't there we could try Wavin Grass." He said, more thinking out loud than answering.
