Jessie had spent much of the day busily setting up the stuff Aiden had willingly brought back for him. His new camp was set in a nook in the rocks, and with a huge amount of effort during the course of the morning, he’d partly set up a roof of sheets and only partly covered the rock pool and mattress.
He was now spending the afternoon relaxing outside is new home, splayed out over the flattest rock he could find. (Though it still was rather rough, but Jessie’s now squishy body was still quite comfortable) He was chewing on a fish he’d easily been able to grab in the rock pool. Yes it was raw, but it was the best food he’d had for days now, far tastier to his now dark tongue than the manger amounts of fruit he’d been able to gather. (Some of which where floating around in the rock pool, it sort of made a good makeshift cooler with the shade over it)
Jessie sighed as he finished his fish and reached for another one he’d killed earlier. This was his life now.

For the most part, being half fish wasn't entirely bad. Hailey just had to swim around, explore and....eat something that looked like bread. Wesley was with her and it was kindda romantic being the only two there to use the Lagoon however they wished...Still, she missed walking on the beach, having legs in general! 'Water plus my new form.....equals my thoughts getting all jumbled.' She thought, going to the surface to breathe. She hadn't figured out that she could breathe underwater but, to learn of such an ability would freak her out a bit more.
Pushing her wet hair away from her face she noticed.....some limb taking a fish. By the coloring of the limb it had to be...a redish hue? Curiosity began to bubble in her. Was a real life octopus nearby...or was it something else? 'An octopus can't stay on land for very long...can it?'/ She thought to herself, swimming a bit closer to see the sea animal. What she saw was something else. Her eyes widen seeing a certain someone on a flat rock.
"Jessie?!" She gasped, not sure it was the boy or if that's what a real octopus looked like on land.

Jessie choked a little on the bite of fish that he had taken and the sudden shocked voice that called his name. He coughed and few times until it passed. He had been completely unaware of Hailey’s presence until he had spoken, as he had been deep in thought and looking up at the sky, watching what few clouds there where pass, by.
“Ha-hailey?” He half spat, still recovering from the fish. He was equally shocked at her now blue and yellow scaly face. And by the looks on of hazy image below her, she had a tail now.
She was a mermaid.
A little angry voice shouted at the back of his mind “She gets to be a beautiful mermaid and I’m a octopus?!”
“Er...Hi...H-Hailey” He replied properly, and quite gingerly as he put the fish he had been eating down behind him. (Somehow he doubted his crush would like seeing him eating something that could’ve been related to her).
He lifted him self up from his laid back pose on the rock, into sitting position, mainly to get a better look at Hailey’s chest. (He had been alone for a long time after all) Somehow she was still as attractive as ever to him. ”What the hells wrong with me? She’s a fish!”

From the choking sound, Jessie was indeed surprised to have a certain person surprise him. Hailey felt embarrassed about the situation, she didn't mean for him to choke! She didn't even know he was eating--okay lie there, she knew he was eating....but she really wasn't expecting him.
"H-hi yourself." At least they got through some polite formalities...before the feeling of awkwardness settled in. Was it her, or was Jessie staring at her body...and not in a good way? 'And he's changed...majorly changed! Welsey will want to know about this...' She thought while a little voice in her head shouted, my eyes aren't down there you know!
She shook her head to clear away the voice before swimming closer to Jessie. Since he was exposed--in a sense--to what had changed about him, it was only fair she do the same...in some aspect of it.
"When did you last change?" She blurted out without thinking. "I mean, I changed less than a week ago..." Once she was near his rock, she propped herself up in order to sit down near the octopus boy. Though the sight of his tentacles made her nervous, Hailey to remember the three of them--Wesley, Jessie and herself--were all in the same boat...all legless...ocean creatures.
Once she situated herself, Jessie was able to see the full extent of what the change had done. Little stumps for legs and one long blue and yellow tail.
"See? And Wesley changed too around the same time as me....so we're not alone in this..." She gave a nervous laugh while trying to make conversation with a person who could also potentially eat her.

Jessie continue admiring Hailey’s body as she propped herself next to him. It had been difficult to see through the ripping water, but she did have a beautiful long flowing tail now. Okay, the little stump legs put him off, but still, she was pretty. But what would she want with an octopus like him? That made her the mermaid and him the sea monster. But still, she was talking to him, the company of the girl after a few days as an octopus cheered him up. Best not to ruin this.
But Jessie thought, Hailey had stump legs, did that mean the changes weren’t over? ”s**t, I’m going to be even more ugly soon?” He though best not to mention it, he didn’t want anything to destroy potentially good time.
Jessie shifted a little closer to Hailey, so she sat between his fanned out tentacles. “Few days, I haven’t been keeping count, I’ve been busy sorting out my camp, see?” He punted a little distance away, to the nook in the rocks where a few of the sheets where visible.
“Wesley too? Hmph” He mentally laughed at the though of Wesley flopping about n his grey ruby tail.

Hailey turned her head to see where Jessie was pointing too. He made another camp near the water...how interesting. 'He's trying to make himself more comfortable in his form form like the rest of us....though, doesn't his skin get dry from lack of moisture in the middle of the night?' She thought silently, turning her head back to face Jessie. She didn't pay particular attention to the position of his tentacles...as long as they weren't on her, it was okay.
"I see, it looks pretty cool. I haven't made camp yet but so far I've been doing okay." She said before nodding to Jessie's statement. "Yeah, he's...well an eel now..basically." She paused, trying to figure out how to phrase Wesley's condition properly.
"I mean he has the tail of one now...and a muzzle of sorts but at least he can control his Jedi-type power now. So no worries about getting shocked or anything." Hailey cracked a small smile, happy she wouldn't have that fear of getting shocked anymore. Her eyes trailed down a little, looking down at her stumps that were once legs. "Its funny you know, considering you and Wesley are the type to eat fish and tada, look what I am." She gave a sarcastic laugh before making eye contact with Jessie.

“Yeah, maybe you should try visiting” He chuckle a little, he had it sound like it was a house already. “It’s mostly a rock pool, I’m okay in it, I’m not to sure about you and your tail though” he glanced back down at it, it was less uncomfortable that staring at her chest.
Though Jessie was rather puzzled at Hailey’s statement, he didn’t recall Wesley using anything that would remind him of Jedi-powers, but the only thing Jessie could think of where moving objects with mind power, and Wesley certainly didn’t have that. So Wesley got some cool power, and all he was stuck with was vomiting ink? What a gip. Best not to ask her further. But he was pleased hearing that he had a muzzle now.
He stared back for a moment. “What, why would I want to eat you?” He looked distressed. He’d been looking at her because she was attractive, not because he wanted to eat her.

Hailey's comment was stating the obvious! She didn't mean to freak Jessie out--though she should've freaked out a long time ago when he continued to stare at her. Then again, she was used to men staring at her...and the fact she all ready knew two of the three predators she was friends with wouldn't eat her.
"I'm just stating facts is all! Now need to get hyped up!" She explained, putting her hands up in self defense. "I know you wouldn't eat me just like Skye or Wesley wouldn't." To emphasize her point, Hailey placed a hand on his shoulder. Hopefully that would calm him down. "Honestly, I was just talking without thinking...something I've been doing more of these day." God help her if she ever did something like that ever again.

“Look, I’m not, or ever going to eat you okay?” he himself trying to clam Hailey down after she raised her arms up to sop a non-existent attack. He smooched a little closer and put his own arm no her opposite shoulder, he tentacles now on either side of her.
“Wait, Skye?” he repeated after a brief pause when Hailey as done. He hadn’t seen Skye in a while, he must have changed too, and into something Hailey saw as a predator too. “What about Skye?” He inquired, it seemed odd, nobody looking like anything in particular so soon into their changes.

Hailey resisted the urge to cringe at Jessie's slimy though. It felt weird to have his tentacle around her shoulder. Hell, it felt weird her touching him and him touching her. 'Then again we're both in the same boat....you'll get used to it.' She thought, nodding to Jessie about Skye.
"Well...he's turning into something of a shark...he has lots of teeth now...and his hands do feel sandpaper-ish." She explained, looking down at her own hands to see if she forgot anything. "Oh and they have webbing too I think." 'Well duh, that's one of the main features here...except for Leonard...for some odd reason.'

“Oh, well I’m sure he can mange” He said reassuringly. Though, truth be told Skye punched him in the face once, he sort of figured he had a bit of a temper, not good for a guy turning into a shark. He shuddered to think if Skye ever lost it and went full shark or something, he’d probably top on his prey list.
Okay enough about Skye, he had to steer the conversation back to him, talking about some other guy with girl wasn’t a good thing.
It was an odd sensation to have his tentacles touching Hailey, he could feel something….like the taste of fish. But at the end of his appendages? Two of his nearest tentacles encroached on Hailey’s tail.
“Sorry Hailey” Jessie smiled nervously. “I still don’t have much control over these things, but it wouldn’t be like last time, I can stop them from sticking now”

Hailey gave a nod to Jessie's reassuringness. It was nice to talk to him this way. She knew he had a crush on her int eh beginning and she thought after telling him they were friends things might be awkward. But, here they were. Just talking and having a good time by enjoying each other's company.
And then two more appendages stuck themselves to her tail.
Was that by accident, or was Jessie secretly trying to get a feel of her? Out of sheer instinct her tail moved a little, trying to get the tentacles off before Hailey managed to willingly stop her tail from acting on its own. "Its okay...sorry for my tail, it has a mind of its own sometimes..." She said nervously, hoping Jessie really wasn't trying to get a feel of her. She was with Wesley now...didn't Jessie know that? 'Then again I haven't told him...but its kindda obvious....isn't it?'
"So, what are you doing to do now? Just stay around here or go exploring or anything along that?" She asked, trying to create more friendly conversation between them.

Once Harley’s tail moved the tentacles slid off and return to simply resting on the rock next to her, half dipped into the steadily sloshing waves, satisfied with what they’d gotten a hold off.
Jessie however, was completely oblivious to Hailey’s relationship with Wesley; he thought it perfectly okay to feel her up a little. She didn’t seem to have minded him touching her tail, or his hand or her shoulder. What reason did he have not to keep crushing on her?
“I think I’ll stick around here, I’ve still to stuff to set up over in my camp” He sighed, Hailey was probably off whooshing through the water with her tail, and octopus weren’t known for blasting swimming skills. (Neither was Jessie) “But it’s not like there’s a lot to do around here huh?”

Hailey sent out a mental sigh of relief, Jessie's tentacles had let go of her tail. 'Thank you God...touching my shoulders is fine...my tail no...He probably couldn't control it...' She thought, listening to Jessie's reply. "Yeah, not much to do. Its fun to watch schools of fish swim by but that's about it." An actual sigh fell from her lips, trying hard to think of what could anyone could possibly do without legs. Her eye grew wider as a thought came to her.
"Wait! I remembered there was some tunnel or hole that lead from one part of the lagoon to the ocean. I thought by getting out to the ocean maybe we could swim by another island to seek help....but with the way we look, doubt anyone would want to talk to us....and the fact there are a lot of other predators out in the ocean really wasn't that appealing to me." Hailey decided to leave the part of saving someone out.

”Fun to watch schools of fish?” Jessie repeated the statement in his head, as if it’d make more sense if he kept saying it to himself.
It didn’t.
Maybe the fish half was getting to her? Or she could just be so bored she really did find that interesting. But at least she had something to do, even if it was a little worrying.
“Another island?” He said shocked. “What other islands there’s nothing anywhere even close to this place” Then again Hailey was build more for swimming. “You really shouldn’t try that Hailey.”
