im stuck on the boss right after the tiamat battle... any advice? any easy leveling methods?

would that be the elder wyrm?
well, when he uses the fireball that comes out of nowhere be sure that non of your party members have oil on them. That's bad. And when it uses Spore fall, i made all my characters flee as far away from him as i could. that way it never hit me.
It might take a few tries, but you'll get it eventualy.

it would help to get ridd of the other monsters that apear with it, but if you do do that, make sure you have a lot of potions to heal with.

well, if i could somehow get enough gil to buy alot of ethers... i shouldnt have to heal much...

I don't recommend it, unless you want to take a big risk. Although you can find the best armor and spells in the whole game to buy there.

It actually isn't that hard to get to the merchant; he's located fairly close to the entrance in the salikiwood... Unless you're really underleveled...

The merchant is actually hidden. There is a hall...at a dead end in the northern-western end of the 1st floor with a Pandora monster sitting in there. It's on the 1st floor from the Salika Woods entrance. At that very area you should scout around the walls. You'll get an action icon over your head. That is the merchant and the farther you are in the game, the better item selection there is.
