Well, since I declare to be probably the biggest Utada Hikaru fan in this guild(atleast at the time of this threads creation), I'll start by making a thread about her!

So, without really a clue where to start off, I hope anyone else who likes her(or has at least heard of her) posts here with here with an opinion!

And, for any one whose never heard of her or heard her music before, shes a Japanese artist, and very popular. Shes in the pop/techo/dance/experimental/R&B genre, I'd say. She writes her own lyrics, music and melodies.

Her most recent English album was just released in Japan, and will be released in America digitally(On iTunes and the like) on March 24th, while the physical copy will be released May 12th.

I agree with the lady above me.

Hikki is great, and I don't like pop.
The first of her songs I heard was "Simple And Clean" (Yes, playing Kingdom Hearts, if you must know.)
And to be honest, I haven't heard any of her songs that I've disliked.

I'd rate her well above Ayumi Hamasaki.
My favorite is probably "Automatic" or "B&C"

I'm actually happy to say I've known about Utada since before Kingdom Hearts was released. She has a gorgeous voice and I was tickled to hear, and if my sources are correct, she was actually born here in America. That's why she is so good at the English language.

But some of my favorite songs of hers are Traveling, Sakura Drops, Devil Inside, Keep Tryin, Fly Me to the Moon, and Cry for the Dream.
