Finally, finally the time had come to leave the ocean's lands and move on to Rengo's homelands. The leopardess was sad to go but she knew that it was time, any longer and they would never get anything done. It simple, it was time and that was it.

Weusinafsi stretched her limbs to prepare for the rather long journey to the southlands and ultimately the Kusini'Mwezi lands. Inhaling deeply she shook herself to remove all of her sleepiness that might have lingered after her stretching.

"Are you ready to leave?" She inquired turning her head back to the dark lion that was her companion. Her pink eyes looking to meet his red ones. "It'll be quite the travel, not as long as this one I don't think, might be but it isn't a longer one."

He smiled softly at her and stretched. "Yes... I am ready. Though not so ready to face my mother, so happy that it is long." He chuckled at her and yawned. He stood beside her and slowly looked around, sighing. Maybe one day he could ask Nafsi to take him back to this place. "But yes. It's time to go, I think."

She returned his smile as her tail flicked behind her somewhat nervously. "It's better to face her sooner rather than later otherwise you might completely lose your nerve to." She told him rather calmly as she started to walk forward. "Besides, I'm sure she'll be happy just to see you." She commented glancing back towards him.

She continued to walk thinking about a few things before speaking before you. "You'll also be able to see the rest of your family."

He smiled and picked up his pace so he could walk next to her. "That will last all of two seconds, he good mood." He chuckled at this and smiled fondly, thinking about her. "Though it will be very nice to see my parents and siblings." He wondered mostly how Njozi was doing, it had been a very long time since he could pal around with his brother.

"But also I am excited to go to the jungle afterwards."

Nafsi chuckled at his words. "I'm sure that she won't stay mad too long." She told him trying to reassure him that everything would be alright. "Perhaps some exciting things have happened to them since you've left." All this talk about family made her wonder about her brother who she hadn't seen in ages. Her parents were probably dead by now, she would be surprised if they were still alive, they were rather old when they had her. She shook her head not really wanting to think about it too much.

"The jungle is a great place, well for the most part, you'll have to be wary of snakes and other creatures that fall from the trees or slither across the grounds." She warned extremely serious. "Although it shouldn't be much of a problem, most are harmless."

His eyes widened a little bit. "Things fall from the trees?" He asked, but just shook his head in wonder. He believed her, he was just confirming he'd heard right. "Are the trees very tall in the jungle?"

My my, wasn't he curious? He hadn't said anything else about his family, he wanted to slip past that subject. This was his and Nafsi's time, not time to talk about his family!

"Things like snakes, they can blend in with the vines." She replied deciding to explain. "I've once had another leopard fall on me." She chuckled at that memory, the male that had fallen on her had been quite amusing. "It was a rather interesting meeting to say the least." She shrugged and moved along in the conversation. "As for the height of the trees...lets just say some are so tall the block out the light of the sun."

It was true, in some areas of the jungle there wasn't enough light to go anywhere without falling every four steps or so. Luckily she stayed out of those areas otherwise she might not have been where she was. "It just depends on what part you are in."

Rengo caught himself laughing and looked apologetic. "I hope you were unhurt from that meeting." He said and then grinned again, shaking his head. He was amazed at how weird all of the places Nafsi knew here. How amazing, too! He smiled and his tail flicked, eyes floating to the sky so he could picture some of the trees. "It sounds awesome. Spooky, too." He winked at her.

"I was quite fine actually, if I wasn't I doubt that I would be here now." She replied chuckling softly. "He wasn't too far off the ground so I was left unharmed....Well for the most part at least, was a tad bit sore." The leopardess rolled her shoulders back in a shrug as she continued to walk. She had a small smile on her face as she remembered the parts of the jungle that she loved so, a frown popping in every now and then when she remembered the parts that made her stray from it for so long.

"Some times it is creepy but I find that a better word for it is....Mystifying. It draws you in and you can't seem to stay away no matter how much you try." She paused looking distant. "It keeps on pulling you in."

He smiled fondly and let his end of the conversation roll into a steady silence, though not an uncomfortable one.

He glanced to her at he last words and frowned slightly, he wasn't exactly sure why they bothered him though. He nuzzled her shoulder a little, perhaps in an effort to stop making her look so distant.

His gaze flicked toward the sky for a moment and smiled, bringing his gaze back down to earth. It was half on Nafsi and half on where he was going.

His touch startled her, having drifted off in her thoughts and she instantly moved away without thinking. Immediately afterwards she felt terrible, he was trying to comfort her and she had moved away without meaning to.

Praying he didn't misunderstand she moved back looking away, unsure of what to do. "Sorry...I...I..." She wasn't exactly sure what to say.

He flinched slightly and coughed, shifting his gait ever so slightly and looking ahead. He slowed and glanced to her, shaking his head. "Don't be." He offered with a calm smile.

His tail flicked and he watched her. "I didn't mean to startle you, you just looked a little distant." He explained, almost as if he should be the one apologizing.

Out of the corner of her eyes she saw him flinch ever so slightly. It made her feel worse, not because of him, but because of herself and her own actions. She hadn't meant to jerk away. It just happened...without her really thinking.

She swallowed dryly before lifting her chin up and turning her head to look at him. "Thank you for the thought." She said finally, the words feeling sticky and somewhat hollow as they left her maw.

Things were a bit weird, almost awkward between them and to be frank the green furred female couldn't be sure of why. Was it because they were going back to his homelands? Or was it something else.

Well whatever the reason she couldn't place what it was. "Is there somewhere you would like to go after our trip to the jungle?" She asked in a hesitant voice trying to start up some kind of conversation.

His heart thudded loudly in his own ears and he wasn't sure why he was nervous or upset. Perhaps because this was the only awkward moment they'd had together since meeting. Hopefully the last, Rengo did not like it one bit!

He just nodded and offered a small smile at her words of thanks, tail flicking. "Somewhere else?" He asked slowly and shrugged, glad to be able to speak again. "I'm not really sure. I don't hear about a lot of places or know of any. So I guess we can figure it out while we're in the jungle or leaving, yeah?" His ears flicked and now he was smiling, walking more calmly.
