Amadet was back to where she'd started a couple of weeks earlier, where she had met Gharadi, the mysterious nephew of hers, and the goddess who had directed her to the Pridelands to time Mtima'safi. She'd not found the goddess she was looking for, but she had found her son. And how lovely her alternate plan had gone- easier than expected, in fact. But then, as Amadet got bigger and bigger she was starting to think she was getting more than she bargained for. She was starting to feel huge - but that didn't necessarily mean there were that many cubs in there, or so she told herself.
It was getting harder to hunt for the lioness, and that was the one downside she saw in all of this. Fortunately, she'd been lucky in finding some abandoned meals. After one such meal, she was prepared to just rest- and so Amadet found herself a lovely spot under a tree and settled in for a nap.

"Well, look who decided to drop in unannounced, and rather porky to boot. I rather think you'll have a large group there." Ardhi smiled thinly as he flicked his tail into her face, laying on one of the larger branches up high. He shifted out of her vicinity, so that she wouldn't retaliate and maim his body in any such way, but he was rather smug about the whole situation.

Amadet was startled by the sudden greeting, and immediately tensed defensively. When she saw who it was, she relaxed a bit- though she quite clearly was unimpressed at being called "porky". Clearly her poor abandoned nephew had never dealt with pregnancy before, which was sad considering he looked about the right age to reproduce.
"You again," she said, "I'd watch my mouth, if I were you. I may be pregnant but I don't appreciate such rude comments, especially from my favorite nephew." The word favorite was emphasized, though it was clearly almost a joke, judging by how she said it.

"Favorite? Aww, I'm touched, really." Ardhi raised a paw and scratched at his shoulder which held the feathery mark, then shook his head, sending his mane into his eyes without care. "You get so riled up easily, big mama."

"You're about as fun to talk to as your mother," Amadet said, rolling her eyes and watching as Ardhi scratched by his feathery marking. Briefly she wondered if her cubs would bear these special traits, or if her unfortunate patterning was genetic. With a wicked grin, though, she realized it wouldn't matter- these cubs were more important than just their looks, than they would have been just by being from a princess.. they were closely related to a goddess. Feathers or not, they would be perfect.
"I noticed your acknowledging the fact we're related now, any chance I could learn your name, as you so rudely chose not to introduce yourself last time," she looked at him coldly, making a point of keeping herself from seeming too tempermental- but certainly pregnancy was not helping.
