I have a new, very awesome, book sereis for you to read! It's called His Dark Materials. There are three books to it. The first is The Golden Compass, I think that's the least best of the three, second is The Subtle Knife, the best, and third is The Amber Spyglass! You really need to read them! The author is Phillip Pullman!

Love those books! I haven't read them in a while though, and over here the first one's called the Northern Lights (just so anyone whose interested in buying them can find it if they live in Britain). Did you know they're making a movie about it? It's out on the 17th of December I think. I don't think it'll be nearly as good as the books, films rarely are, but I'm still going to see it and I can't wait.

I went to the movies and I was jumping up and down when I saw it! You're right movies are never as good as the books! emo

I'm actually reading The Golden Compass right now. biggrin It's really good, but I've heard that the trilogy goes kinda downhill. confused The Amber Spyglass is supposed to be heavy on atheism and downplays Christianity. I dunno, I'll read them and find out. 3nodding

From the trailers I've seen it looks like they've made Lyra's world quite futuristic, not sure if I like that, but then it was only the trailer so I guess it might not be as bad as it looks. Iorek looks great though, except his armours a bit too fancy, but the graphics on him are awesome!

I don't want to say too much in case someone hasn't read the books, but it pretty much says that in one of the books.

well, I saw the movie, and what made me mad was the way they ended it. Hello, in the books it goes much farther then that. But other then that, it was one of the better book to movie crossovers that they have done. The last one that the movie theatres did I think was eragon, and that was the worst movie i have ever seen in my life.

Yeah, I guess so, but I always pictured her world as more old fashioned than what I've seen of it in the trailers. Haven't seen it yet though, I'm hopefully going this week^^

Elphaba the Renthead well, I saw the movie, and what made me mad was the way they ended it. Hello, in the books it goes much farther then that. The last one that the movie theatres did I think was eragon, and that was the worst movie i have ever seen in my life. Yeah Eragon was pretty bad! Yeah I was a little unhappy about how they did the ending, but I can also see how that would work in favor of the second one. So I'm pretty ok with the ending!

I am also reading the Golden Compass, I havent finished it yet. I have also heard that it was majorly Atheist, but I'll decide that for myself. So far it is really good, I definatly want to see the movie.
