have any of you decided yet?. . I have always wanted to make or get a really cool costume, so this summer I spent around a week sewing incessently to get one done. . it is basically a dress and cloak, simmilar in fashion to the ones from lord of the rings. . I wanted to just buy a costume but those velvet dresses are like, 70 bucks, then the cloak around 20-30. . so I bought fabric and trim for 35 dollars total and made both the dress and the cloak. . then when I was in NY I got a 2 dollar clairs crown thingy and added a little silver wire accents to it. . and here it is: I am glad I got it done before I had to go back to college, as now I just have it all ready when when it is halloween time. . any big halloween fans in here?. . I do energywork and the such, so I do like halloween as a lot of people are more open about talking about that stuff around that time. . I cant say I ever noticed any severe thing happening on halloween though. . and besides the more serious reason, it is fun to dress up and I do miss the free candy but I dont pass for a youngin anymore gonk

Great job on the costume! It's very pretty :3 I love halloween but it isn't celebrated much here. I'm not dressing up this year I don't think. I love to buy all the accessories and such when they come out though, like bat earrings and things xd

ahh, so no big halloween fans in here. .lol. . I know a few years ago when I dressed up in just a black cheap a** halloween cloak and a tiny witches hat, everyone was starring at me at school. . I was like o.O becuase I so thought more people would be dressed up. . lol. . I dont care though, I am going to probalby wear my halloween costume on the day before halloween when I have school for fun. . then wear it again the next night when I go out on halloween to some sort of gathering and events thing in boston. . Unless I got severely lazy lol. . if that hapepned, perhaps I would put my hair and pig tails and try to go trick or treating. . XD xd xd xd . . if anyone comments I can say it is for my cousin who is too sick to go. . lol. .
and hey, handing out candy isnt bad. . what me and my mom usually do is turn off the lights so they stay away. . xd

I absolutely love your costume! The color is beautiful! I wish I knew how to sew =( I've always wanted to do stuff for halloween, but my family does not celebrate it. So last year I turned 18. Last year was my first year ever dressing up for Halloween =D Me and two of my friends hosted our own costume party and called it Masquerade Madness. It was fun. We would love to do it again this year, but one of my friends who helped now lives out of state and that would make it quite hard, and not as fun. Haha, I even walked down my road and got some candy. Everyone complimented the geisha costume, and a few people wanted to use it this year XD

This year I'm hoping to find a vampiress costume that looks decent. Or at least a dark dress of some kind, ya know? I can't look too evil or my parents will kill me XD But I can find something that can go either way. And there's always the fangs to wear when I'm not around my parents twisted
I tried on a dress a the party store...It was black with red, kinda like a corset in the front. Long flowy sleeves. Really pretty. I tried it on, and it was a little tight. I'd have to get a second opinion on it. I really liked it even though it was tight sweatdrop

ack i hate finding clothes that i really love and then them being too small D:
i find a lot of clothes in charity shops and such, im generally a size 14-18 depending on who makes the clothes D: but most of the tops and trousers there are like size 10 always size 10.. and im .. not U_U
the dress sounds really nice though, if it isnt too tight it should be ok , but then again you could always modify it a bit ?

Yeah I shop thrift stores a lot lately too and everything that looks nice is too small. Everything that's around my size looks tacky. I did find a shirt once that was gorgeous, and looked like it would fit me. So I bought it. Got home and it's a bit too tight. I need to lose some weight so I can fit it sweatdrop

Here's a picture, if it'll show up: I, of course, had on a black under shirt so the neck line doesn't go that far down on me sweatdrop Thank goodness. And the lady didn't give me the collar or the head piece, so it was just the dress I tried on.
