The brunette sighed, staring at the white lace dress that was worn on the mannequin. The dress, which she had designed, seemed to be posing a problem now. It may have looked complete, with the soft sleeves and slightly puffed out skirt that fell demurely to the knees, but something was wrong. In the girl's eyes, that was. "Something's not right." Minori said aloud, tapping her pencil on the sketched out design. And she had realised it only after she had made the dress. Oh well, what was that mother used to say? If something seems wrong, improvise. Yeah, right. It wasn't as if her room was filled with different fabrics for her to try things out.

It was 5.55pm. Five more minutes to the sleepover she had arranged with Mitsuko. The girl should be here any minute. Minori sighed, closing her scrapbook. Enough thoughts about the dress.

Tying up her wavy hair in a ponytail, the girl flopped on her bed, next to Rose. The reason she had asked Mitsuko over was to bond with the girl, which she had come to treat as a good friend. And also...to talk about Takumi.

It was funny that she didn't want to say anything about it to Sam, her supposedly best friend. Perhaps it was because they were timezones and many many miles apart that they had grown distant with each other. The girl frowned.

Rose clambered on her mistress's simple sleevless blue shirt and meowed to get her attention. Petting the kitten absent-mindedly, Minori glanced up at the clock again. Or maybe Mitsuko was late?

"No, Miss Mitsuko please let us help you!" As usual, Mitsuko's two guards swarmed around her, worry visible on their faces. If one were to look at the bronze-haired girl, they would see why she was, yet again, the source of their worry.

Having decided that she wanted to carry everything herself, Mitsuko held a pile of clothes, sleeping bag, and any other things she thought she might need. That being said, the tower of items towered over the girl's head. Not being able to see + Clumsy + Mitsuko = CHAOS.

Somehow, she managed to make it to the front steps before stumbling. Having predicted this, one of her guards grabbed a couple of her items before they could fall, and the other saved Mitsuko from clonking her head on the ground. Blinking in surprise, the girl turned after a moment to grin at the pair. "Heehee."

"Please Miss Mitsuko, for the sake of your safety, please just let us do our jobs." One of them heaved a sigh, plucking the remaining items from her arms before walking up the steps, and pressing the doorbell.

Mitsuko on the other hand, seemed to have her own way of getting someone's attention.

"Minoooooooooorrrrrriii-chaaaaan!" She chirped, loudly, causing her guards to wince.

"Well, I should go and wait for her." Minori said aloud, and scooped up Rose as she padded out of her room and made her way to the front door. The kitten gave a protesting meow, but settled in her mistress's arms contently enough.

"Uncle Berinn~" The girl sang as she leaped down the staircase, two steps at a time. "Is Mitsuko here yet?"

The butler eyed the brunette with apparent distaste. "You do know to walk down stairs properly, my dear child." The girl grinned and dismissed his warning with an airy wave. It wasn't as if she was in danger of falling down all the time; Minori wasn't clumsy, for one thing. At this time, the doorbell rang, and he jerked his head gently towards your door. "I take it that it's Miss Mitsuko."

Then, as Mitsuko's voice travelled through the door, Minori laughed, and stifled her grin with a hand as Berin looked at her with widened eyes. The girl shook her head hopelessly as she burst out into laughter. Typical Mitsuko. Sighing, the butler opened the door. "Good evening Miss Takara." He greeted the girl with a slight bow. Then, an incredulous expression came over his face at the sight of the many items the girl carried, but it cleared easily. "May I take your bags?"

Minori had calmed down from her laughing fit, despite being highly amused by the expressions on her butler's face. "Hello, Mitsuko chan! You didn't have to bring so many things!" In her arms, the kitten meowed a hello.

When the door opened, Mitsuko beamed a grin at the butler. "Hi hi! Annnnd don't call me Miss Takara - that's what people call my mother," She paused to make a face, "Miss Mitsuko will do. Or just Mitsuko." Then, she glanced past him for a second, catching sight of Minori and waving her arms enthusiastically. "Minori-chan!"

Looking back as Berin spoke again, Mitsuko gave a little shake of her head, smiling brightly. "It's okay, I can carry it myself!" Then, despite more protests from her guards, the girl took her things back from them, the items standing tall above her head.

Due to her inability to see with everything blocking her view, Mitsuko turned to the general direction she assumed Minori would be when the other girl spoke. "Mm, I know," She said, her voice a little muffled behind everything, "But I didn't want to trouble you by having to use all your stuff, so I came prepared." Then, hearing the meow, Mitsuko poked her head out from behind the pile, catching sight of the kitten.

"Wah, so cute!" She squealed, before something clicked in her head. Blinking, she took a very wobbly step forward, closer towards her friend and the feline. "Hm? Your kitty kinda looks familiar, Minori-chan." The girl said, thoughtfully. Her brows knit together for a moment in thought, before her guards cleared their throats.

"Miss Mitsuko? How do you expect to get around Miss Sagawa's home when you can't even see?" One of them inquired, raising a brow.

"Mm," Mitsuko turned her attention towards them, before giggling. "I'unno."

Berin nodded with his usual straight face at the girl's request. Many kids had the same thought as well; they didn't want to be called by their surnames, instead preferring to be called by their first names.

Minori grinned and waved back to her friend. Berin's eyes flickered back to Mitsuko as the girl's arms were loaded with more bags. With a snap of his fingers, some maids hurried out and went up to Mitsuko, taking the bags from her. "Let them help, Mitsuko." Minori told her friend. "C'mon, you're my guest."

"Uhh.." Minori's face coloured slightly. "She does?" Rose meowed slightly, stretching her white head forward to stare at the other girl. Mitsuko did see Rose on that day...

" 'kaaaay! Mitsuko it is then!" She said, nodding cheerfully to Berin. It was awkward for her to be addressed the same way as her mother.

The next thing the girl knew, she heard someone snapping their fingers, and suddenly, she could see again. "...Fwah?" Looking down, she belatedly noticed that she no longer carried anything, and that the maids had taken her bags from her. For a moment, she opened her mouth to protest, before shutting it again when Minori spoke. Grinning sheepishly, she rubbed the back of her head. "Well, alright. Sorry for bringing so much stuff." She addressed the second part to the maids, before looking at Minori again.

Moving a little closer, the girl reached out towards the kitten, but her hand lingered hesitantly in the air in front of the kitten. "Would you mind if I pet her, Minori-chan?" Then, tilting her head tot he side, she nodded. "Yup, she -does- look familiar...can't really remember from where though."

The maids only smiled, and made their way up the stairs with the luggage. "We'll bring it to your room, Miss Minori." One said.

Minori nodded towards Mitsuko. "Of course you can! She seems to like you anyway." Those that Rose didn't like would be ignored by the kitten. She had a prima donna attitude.

"Oh well..." The girl hesitated. Should she tell her? I should. Minori decided. Besides, it wasn't exactly her fault. "She snuck in my bag for the first day of school." She explained sheepishly.

Cheerfully, Mitsuko rose both hands over her hand, waving as the maids started up the stairs. "Thank yoooou!"

Then, eyes lightning up, the girl rested a hand on the kitten's face. Grinning, she stroked Rose's head, a delighted little laugh escaping her lips. "She's so cute! You should visit my home someday, and bring her along. She might get along well with my kitten, Razi."

"Oh! So that kitten that made Roka-kun sneeze, and circled Takumi-kun..." She stratched her head, before giggling. "That's an adventuous kitten you have there then, Minori-chan!" Then, looking at the feline, she wagged her finger. "No more sneaking into Minori-chan's bag for you."

The white kitten purred as she was stroked, clearly enjoying the attention. Minori watched with an amused expression on her face. It wasn't everyday that Rose got along with another person; she had her own taste.

"That would be nice." The girl agreed and arched an eyebrow as she looked at Rose. "It depends on her mood though." The kitten chose to ignore her mistress for now, and indulged in the patting.

Minori laughed, a blush coming over to her cheeks. A wave of relief washed over. Mitsuko seemed to take this easily. Rose blinked at the finger, and swatted a paw at it.

"I didn't know Roka-kun had allergies though." The girl explained sheepishly, making her way up the stairs and motioning for the other to follow. "I feel so guilty."

"It'd probably depend on Razi's mood too," Mitsuko commented, making a face, "He's not the most social feline at times, but maybe it'd be good for him to make another feline friend." Mitsuko grinned, "Afterall, a life without friends is a lonely one." She knew this well, from her childhood.

Giggling as the kitten swatting at her finger, the girl tickled Rose under the chin. "Silly kitty!" Then, she uprighted herself, watching as Minori started up the stairs, and bounced towards her.

"Don't feel guilty, Minori-chan! It wasn't your fault!" She waved her arms in protest, "And besides, I know Roka-kun would have forgiven you! He doesn't seem like the kind to hold a grudge, and you had been unaware that you had a stowaway." Mitsuko nodded vigourously, as if trying very hard to convince Minori that it wasn't her fault.

Minori grinned. It sounded like this Razi was somewhat alike to Rose herself. "That's true. It's not nice to be alone." Rose did have Sage to play with, but the rabbit was much content to sit silently in one place, instead of going along with the kitten's games.

Rose stretched her neck with a purr as Mitsuko tickled her. Mmm, this would be interesting indeed.

"I never told him though." Minori winced, as she headed to where her room was. And because of that, she had been feeling even more guilty.

"And here is my room." The girl grinned, opening the purple door that led to her room. Mitsuko's suitcases had been put neatly in a corner and there were many cushions on the furred carpet. The mannequin with the white lace dress was beside her dressing table. Rose leapt out of Minori's arm and padded over to Sage, the brown lop-eared rabbit, who was snoozing on her bed.

Stretching her arms over her head, and emitting a yawn, Mitsuko continued to follow Minori, careful not to stumble on the steps. The last thing she wanted was to go for a tumble.

"Mm, well, if he knew I'm sure he'd forgive you!" She chirped, nodding her head quickly. "So don't feel bad, Minori-chan! I can always talk to him for you, if it'll make you feel better?" She offered, hoping to cheer her friend up on this matter.

As they reached her room, and Minori opened the door, Mitsuko stood there for a moment, marvelling at her friend's room. "Wah, so pretty, Minori-chan! Your room is so neat." Grinning, she stepped into the room, glancing around curiously before her gaze fell on the rabbit that slept on the bed. She suppressed a squeal, with intense effort.

Minori gave Mitsuko a quick tentative smile, as a thanks for trying to reassure her. Still, she did feel some guilt sinking on her heart. "Maybe I should tell him myself." The girl replied. If she got the courage to, that was.

The girl grinned. "I bet your room is cooler though." Flopping down on the purple bedsheets, she scooped the rabbit up. "Here, meet Sage." The lop blinked belligerently up at the other girl.

Rose, deciding that trying to get the rabbit to play along wouldn't be any fun, stalked off with her tail in the air and leapt up on the dressing table. Putting her head to a side, she used a paw to bat at the dress.

"Heyyy!" Minori exclaimed, her head swiveling around to pin the kitten with a glare. "Don't you dare ruin it!"

"Don't worry about it too much, 'kay?" Mitsuko pat the other girl's shoulder, smiling. "I'm always around if you need help!" She gave Minori a reassuring and encouraging nod of her head.

Following Minori in, Mitsuko glanced left and right at the room, before laughing. "My room? Cooler? Hardly! Yours is much nicer!" Then, she added, with a grin, "I'm definitely inviting you to my house for the next sleepover!"

As the rabbit was picked up, Mitsuko found a delighted smile spreading itself over her face. Leaning forward, she gave a little wave to the animal. "Aw, he - is it a he? - is so adorable!" How this girl adored animals, whether they were fluffy, cute, scaley, or even multiple-legged.

"Hm?" Turning to follow Minori's gaze, Mitsuko walked over towards the dressing table and the kitten, patting Rose on the head. "Don't play with Minori-chan's clothing, silly!" Then, she looked up to look at the dress the kitten had been batting at. She blinked, before pointing towards it, "How pretty, Minori-chan! Did you make this?"

Minori smiled back. Indeed, it was nice to have a friend there for her. And she had thought life in Japan would be boring. The girl hadn't really expected to make friends so fast, so soon.

"Well, I'm looking forward to it, then!" The brunette replied, grinning. Truly, she did believe Mitsuko's room wasn't as bad as the girl said; for the birthday party she had thrown had been awesome.

"Mmmhmm." Minori grinned, cuddling the rabbit. "I've always wanted a puppy though, but mom says Sage and Rose is enough." Which was rather true, the kitten did cause some trouble every now and then.

Blue eyes blinked up at the blond girl as the kitten enjoyed the patting. Well, what was wrong with playing anyway?

Minori grinned, a small blush coming over her cheeks. "Well, yeah, but...it isn't really complete." Walking over to where Mitsuko was, the girl looked at the dress again. "For some reason, I think something is wrong." Maybe she should ask her parents...but then again, they did return home at late hour. And she'd probably get a whole lot of criticism from her mother too. 'You've got to have more creativity.' Mrs Sagawa had once admonished her.
