Ok this takes place during modern times. I was curious to see how it would play out in a more modern time and how the characters would be effected. Mugen Jin and Fuu are still together and looking for the samurai that smells of sunflowers.

(( I'll just go ahead and post. ))
Mugen leaned against the building with a cigarette in his mouth. His eyes were closed; the graffiti covered wall had various scripts and was tagged by different gangs, but the one that was prominent was a white infinity sign. He sighed and moved away from the wall, walking to his left, and revealed a row of kanji saying, "Remember the name." He scratched his head with his left hand, letting his right run under his shirt and scratch his stomach.
He grumbled, walking around the corner and coming from under the bridge to join the sidewalk traffic under the bright sun.
