Hey Panic! Fans! It's good to be back. This is `PrimeRib! heart My new account username is CityScene (now PrimeOdd).
About seventeen days ago, my account (`PrimeRib) was hacked. It's really a terrible thing, and I never thought anything like this would ever happen to me. I was always very careful about scams and hacks. But on a day like any other, my account was logged onto by someone who I didn't know, nor had permission to go on my account. This person was a hacker, and they changed my e-mail and password on my account.
"How did it happen," you ask? "How did they get your password?"
Well, based on what one of the last things I saw on my account, I'm almost positive I was scammed. Someone sent me a PM asking me to vote for them in the arena. Being the kind person that I am, I thought, "Why not?" I clicked on the link they gave me, and it brought me to a log-in page. Not thinking anything of it, I simply logged back in. The page looked identical to Gaia's normal log in page, so would why I think it's a different website? This is where I was <******** stupid. Gaia has logged me out randomly numorous times before, and I just thought it was another glitch. I was wrong. I was dumb. I'm sorry.
After I "logged in," it brought me to the arena, just like the person suggested it would bring me to. I voted a "10" for them, and PMed them back with a little good luck wish. It was until a few moments later that it hit me. Boom. Boom. Boom. Hate PMs filled up my inbox one after another. Each PM quoted me saying the same arena message that was sent to me. People were mad at me. They were cursing at me. They basically wanted me to die a painful death. They all thought I was scamming them, when I never sent out a single scam message to anyone. After about three minutes of panicking (at the disco), I realized what was going on, and what I needed to do. I went to "account" change my password. It was too late. The hacker already changed it, and my old password wouldn't work. After another minute of panicking (at the disco), I tried to send my items to a different account of mine. It wouldn't let me trade, because you need to type in your password in order to trade, and the hacker already changed my password. At this point, I was crying. Literally. There was nothing I could do. Three years of my life was being taken away from me right before my eyes. My last resort was creating a thread in the Questions & Answers forum. I obnoxiously created a thread, crying out for help. I don't think I ever typed so fast in my life, because I knew at any moment the hacker could log out of my account, and I would also be logged out on my computer if he (or she) did so. I creating the thread just in time, because seconds later when I refreshed the page to look for replies, I was logged out. It was over.
Crying, I realized I needed to get off the computer. I couldn't take it. I didn't want to look at the screen. I didn't want to believe what just happened. As I was slapping myself as hard as I could stand it, I was waiting to wake up.
A few hours later, I got it together. I went back on my computer, and tried signing into `PrimeRib, hoping that I was only imagining what happened. I wasn't. It happened. Moderators banned my account. Why? Because the hacker sent out scam messages from my account. Mods thought I was the hacker, although I'm completely innocent.

"What's the lesson?" Well, ladies and gentlemen, listen up.
(these are all from my opinion, and based off of what I learned)
- Never click links to vote for people in the arena.
- Always check the "url" when you are directed to a link that's "supposed to be" Gaia.
- Always have a way of contacting your Gaia friends outside of Gaia. (Poly and I got lucky on this one. Only a few days before my hacking occured, we became friends on MySpace. Coincidence?...I think not. That's fate, kids. xD)
- Always let your friends and family know how much you love them. You never know when it's going to be your last chance to tell them.
- Never panic (! at the disco) when you think you are being hacked. Click faster than you ever have before, and change your password without even considering what's going on. Don't think about your options, because there are none. Just change your password immediately.
- Always know what to do in emergency situations. Your actions should be automatic.

Changes In The Panic! At The Disco Fan Guild:
- First and foremost, my account new (CityScene) now has a mule named CitySceneMule. I promoted this mule as the Vice Captain of the guild. Why? Because if anything like this ever happens to my account again, I will still have a way of accessing the guild. Please do not PM or try to contact CitySceneMule. I will never go on that account unless I need to.
- The Panic! At The Disco Fan Guild now has a guild e-mail address!
panicatthediscofanguild@hotmail.com
It should be easy to remember, no? ;D If you ever feel the need to contact me about something in the guild, if something happens to your account and you need to communicate with me, or if you for some reason can't reach Gaia Online, always feel free to e-mail the guild e-mail address. You may also PM me at anytime if you are able to, or send an e-mail to my personal address, which is corky0123@hotmail.com. But again, I ask you to not send me questions about Panic! At The Disco in PMs. Please post them in the guild if it's at all possible.
- I'm going to remake all of the stickies in the guild. For the most part, they will all be kept the same. I'll just copy and paste most of them. xD I'd just like this new account to be shown as the person posting them so that new members do not get confused. So, if you see duplicates of any of the stickies during the next couple weeks, don't be like, "WTF CITYSCENE?" I'm just trying to make this place neater. xD There will eventually only be one of each sticky.

If you're confused about anything, feel free to ask here. I love you guys, and I've missed you so much. I can't want to start updating and posting in all the great new threads. I'm sorry for being away for far too long, and for being hacked. I wasn't thinking. I'm sorry. <3 Thank you so much to all of those people who have donated. I could never thank you enough.
I would like to thank the AMAZING Gaia mod, umaeril, for helping me get the guild back. She transferred the guild from `PrimeRib to CityScene. <33 Show her some love. She deserves the world. And I'd also like to thank Poly for helping me communicate with you guys a little bit. xD Anytime I told her to tell you guys something, she got right to it! She did a good job of keeping things together. Thanks Poly, I love you.
And this is the end of my extremly long post.
Feel free to post whatever. xD <33
