The golden eyes of the king cheetah opened before he moved, his tan fur rustled in a light breeze and he sat stretching out his claws. Rolling his sholders, he movede the kinks from his mucles before he stood slowly and did his usual checks, feet, tail, legs, neck, ears. Yup all present and counted for. He chuckles hopeing that Poza didn't just find him doping his checks. It did look rather weird the way he performed his waking up- tasks, but it was a force of habbit.
Looking up to the tree he smiled and callewd "Hey Poza, are you ready to go?" He raised a slim brow and waited for her to reply, his toes tapping hte soil as he stretched out his toes. there was plenty of time for them to eat up some lnd on their way back to his home.

Poza twitched and shifted, grunting something in reply. She was lazy once she got into a good sleep and she was having a particularly nice dream. But as she moved again she could feel her body starting to slide... oh! Her eyes snapped open and her expression was priceless as she started to slip from the tree branch. She scrambled and suddenly she dropped. But luckily she landed on her feet! Her chest rose and fell in a heavy pattern and for a moment she continued to look shocked.
She calmed almost instantly though and looked around, eyes landing on her companion. She gave him a playful grin. "That happens a lot." She shifted and stretched. "Yes, I'm ready to go."

Afiya burst out laughing when she hit the ground. Clearly she had done that alot of times, he kenw isf he tried that he would fall on his big furry butt. "I can see that it looks like you've had alot of practice landing on your feet." He beamed, he was acctually impressed by her display, he couldn't climb trees, he liked to sleep under them but in them he doubted he had the agylity to do so.
Winking playfully he nudged the female hello and flickered his long tail. "You rady to go? My legs are dyin' to get a movin'. I reacon My mother and brothers will probably be wondering where I am by now too." He chuckles and looks embarressed, despite his age he still cared if his family woried about him. He loved to wander but he still checked in just to make sure his mother at least didn't worry.

She smiled gently at him and giggled, nodding. "Yes, finally got the trick down." She didn't know how many times she got bruised on her lower back but she was thankful she could land on her feet now!
"Oh, yes I'm ready." She nodded and smiled, looking to her paws for a second. She had a family but no clue what happened to them; she was not sad about it, she just thought it'd be nice to be worried about.

Tilting his head slightly he nudged his nose under Pozas chin and beamed. "Hey be warned if you meet my mother she'll worry about you too, my ma's kinda mom to everyone. She's the matriarch of our family really, worries about everyone." He chuckled and tilts his head before starting to walk.
"I hope you're up for a fair journey, the baobob tree is maybe two days walk from here we got plenty of padding to do." He rolls his eyes a little his long tail flickering back and forth. "I always loose track of time specially when I get destracted." He glimpses at Poza then and gives a wink. "Not that I mind being destracted by a lady cheetah, hell, I kinda wish I'd run in to more cheetahs who at least had a sence of humour, alotta cheetahs are kinda boreing, suppose thats what comes from living on your own though, my families usually bubbly as heck, specially when mums in a story telling mood."
He clears his throat in an embarressed manner then and grins dopishly. "Sorry I'm rambling, what about you do you have a family out there?"

She chuckled and snorted. "Will she?" She glanced at him and winked. Well, she'd humor his mother. She didn't much like being worried over or fussed over, she wasn't used to something like that.
"Ah! But of course I'm ready to travel.... I am traveling all the time. Two days is nothing.." She teased him with a cheeky grin and a light laugh. Ah so she distracted him, huh? Her tail flicked and she chuckled more, not commenting though. She was pleased she was able to distract him, it made her feel good about herself!
"Ah.." She hesitated. "Well yeah, I have a family. Haven't seen 'em in forever though." She sounded a little sheepish, as if this was something to be embarrassed about. "I'm more solo than I am a family girl."

The golden male grinned back at her. "I shoulda guessed really, ye don't gain a bunch of travelling mucles like yours without roaming huh?" He raised a golden brow, honey glazed eyes shimmering playfully. He'd started to really like this girl, he didn't know whether that was somehting to worry about or not. Shaking his head he padded onwards his step light and bouncy.
He of course noted the slightly flattered look upon Poza's face and a small smirk rose on his lips. He liked to please people, especially those he liked.
"Yeah? Thats a shame, family can be alot of fun to be with though they can also be a pain in the butt." He chuckles looking to Poza. "least you don't have to check in on them though. My ma would think I'd gone forever if I didn't check in at least once a week. She's such a worry wort. Says the worlds the most dangerous place ever, never gotten myself in to no troubles though." He shrugs a bit. "Spose tis nice to know someone cares.."

She laughed and nodded, she was rather strong for a female but it didn't look bad. "Ah, well you must travel a lot yourself." She winked at him, implying that he looked rather muscular as well.
Dangerous? She raised a brow, unsure of how well she'd get on with his mother. She seemed nice.... just a little protective. Too protective for Poza's taste. "I've never gotten in much trouble out here in the world." She grinned and started to get a mischevious look about her. "And what about your homelands, does your mother not think it is a part of the world or something?" She chuckled. "Maybe I will be in more danger there than out here!" She joked.

Beaming broadly he tenced his thick set shoulders as she complimented him back, he was becomeing more and more pleased to be around Poza, she stroked his ever large ego very well.
"Well you have to understand, my mother didn't have a protected childhood like I did." He smiled weakly "Her mother was killed by lions when she was only young, the worlds a dangerous place to anyone who's suffered." He shakes his head lightly washing away the sad thoughts. "I guess she sees home as a protected world, but it's only safe so long as we have numbers to keep the big cats out." He sighs lightly, his mother had always told him that the coalition lands were more full at one time, it seemed their numbers had dwindled but his motehrs sence of security never had."She's just a lil over protective is all, she likes to worry about everyone around her, it's kinda her thing." He chuckles. "If she's not worrying about you she's washing behind your ears"

Poza just nodded in response, not really wanting to talk about his mother any longer. She'd judge the other when she met her. It was cute that he defended the female through and through though. She supposed that what you just did when you were the close to your mother!
"Hmm. Have you ever gone fishing?" She asked, to change the subject.

"Fishing?" The king marked male raised a brow. "Something I'v never tried." he said simply, his long tail swishing back and forth in the typicle cheetah like manner. "Since you ask, I assume that makes you a fishing expert hmm?" He grinned cheekily. "Care to show an uneducated male the art of fishing?" He gave a cheeky little puuur and a wink.

She chuckled and rolled her eyes, bopping him on the nose with a paw. "Not an expert." She admitted. Fishing was rather hard, but she had gotten the hang of it. "Yes I will show you when we stop for the night, hopefully by some water source.

The large male chuckled rubbing his nose comically, his honey coloured orbs shimmering playfully. Poza was prooving to be a great source of fun for the large male and more to the point she was beautiful and happy to boot. "Sounds fun." He looked to ths sky then pondering the time and the distance they could travel before dark.
Turning his muzzle to a slight north westerly direction he padded along a little faster. "Fancy a little race? We should really rest up for a little when the sun hits its zenith, theres a little copse there see" he points with a paw, "ideal place to have a lil nap before we go on. so waddya say? Race ye there?"

She smiled slowly and nodded. She didn't like racing all that much, she enjoyed a good nap or being lazy. But she liked Afiya a lot, enjoyed his company very much. She could have one little race, right?
"Well if you're willing to lose." She teased and laughed. It was a complete bluff, she was fairly certain he could run faster. But he didn't know that, did he?
"GO!" She suddenly shouted and took off, laughing and very delighted with herself. This would give her a head start, though she doubted he would see it as being very fair!

The big male laughed as he watched her take off, shaking his thick set head he sped off after her. He soon caught up to her though he held back nipping playfully at the tip of her tail as she raced before him. if she was going to cheat, he could distract right? A roguish grin spread on his maw as he picked up the pace and ran shoulder to shoulder with her.
"You're pretty fast Poza." He purrs between deep cleansing breaths. He ran along beside her then keeping pace with the smaller female his tail swaying from side to side like a large rudder keeping him balanced as he raced beside her. The cocky guy in him wanted to race ahead to show her how fast he was, that he was strong and capable, but the little gentleman in him, that voice which always sounded so clearly like his mother, told him to hold back, it would look better if he let the lady win after all, and he couldn't really resist seeing a female pleased in an accomplishment. He therefore, slowed slightly his nose level with her shoulder blade.
