Alas shook off the salty water and took a deep refreshed breath as much as the structure and behavior of the pack worried her, the terrain refreshed her and made her feel alive. She stood on the shore for a moment admiring the crashing waves and salty tang in the air. Her nose quivered for a moment as she took it all in despite the slight sting before she shook off the last of the water and headed up the cliffs. Alas was careful as she moved toward the den area she didn't want to run into that lynx again especially not on the slippery cliffs. With a final push up she found herself on the steady solid ground where the pack resided, or at least it was supposed to be that way but oddly it seemed the pups were always absent, and Twist was always off recruiting. For a moment her ears flicked back in guilt she was supposed to be recruiting as well, she had done plenty of socializing the trouble was she had been doing it with another pack. Alas decided she had better try and stick around and look for some loners who might like to join them, the more stable minded adults the better. With a firm nod of her head she sat down to rest from her morning swim.

Twist had been resting high on her cliff today. With her paws dangling dangerous over the edge and her tail curled around her back paws she looked somewhat content- which for the wolf was somewhat unusal because there was always something irking the young alpha. Though with her territory finally established she couldn't help but take in a deep salty breath. Ah nothing like the sea air. The smile curled offside of her face; she then shut her eyes as she seamed to take it all in mentally. But her brain couldn't seam to rest, it was as if she knew she couldn't slack. If she did then her followers would get fatted and they would lose all the territory she had worked so hard to claim.

Grrrrrr.... Her nostrils filled with the vile sent of Alas. A pink thorn in her side. She had talked to Algoma about what to do with that beast and they desided for now they would spare her a quick death. But the thought of her alone seamed to downcast whatever ray of sunshine seamed to be shining down upon her. Might as well talk to the foul beast- see if she has anymore complaints...

With that she cracked her eyelids opened and with a gigantic strech made her way down towards the lacy meat sack. Again as she got close she seamed to put on her 'cheary' airs as she Alas was the most important thing to her.

"And how are you fairing today?" She twisted out of her mouth with a smile. Oh how she wanted to say more- but now was not the time or the place.

Alas looked up as Twist headed down she felt no inclination to tilt her head in respect to the alpha which she found strange. She always dipped her muzzle around other alphas, kept her gaze down and her posture low. She tilted her muzzle slightly forcing herself to feel some respect for Twist, but deep down Alas felt more frustrated that the young alpha didn't seem to be heeding her advice. Was it intentional? Or was she just too young to see things through?

Alas decided to try and keep her advice to herself and show some kindness and respect towards Twist, hopefully that would loosen whatever sway that wicked Lynx had on the poor thing. She smiled softly and lay down submissivly rolling slightly to her side and looking up at the alpha.

"I'm well enough, I just took a swim...it's a beautiful day and the waters have a feisty little churn in them, good for the muscles." She straightend herself back out not licking to expose her vulnerable sides to one she didnt fully trust.

"How are you? You seem content enough with the day?" She wanted to know where the pups were, when there would be more adults, she wanted to question everything that came out of Twist's mouth and tell her to send Algoma packing, but she was not about to do anything so foolish.

Twist notted Alas being submissive and suddenly felt a wash of excitment about her as well as slight ease. Although that didn't mean she trusted the lacy meat-sack; nor did it mean she'd let up her gaurd anytime soon. But it did mean promise- oh at least now if Alas was stupid she could just roll her over and stuff her like the pink piggy she was; or even better have that be the signal for her lynx friend to rush in and maul her. Oh so many good idea's...she then paused and kept her face screwed on tight. she didn't need to let the other know she had devious thoughts dancing threw her mind. That would ruin the whole thing.

"Mmm yes. Thats particularly why I chose this spot. Nothing like the ocean salt to chear ones spirits..."

Her silver eyes scanned the horizon and she wondered what it would be like to be a fish. The whole ocean as your playground. Then again being a fish might suck royally considering Twist's advanced pallet for sushi. That caused a plesent smirk and a chuckle to cross her lips openly.

"Ah yes I'm quite content- but something dose seam to be troubling me...I was wondering if I could get some advice from you- since your older and much wiser then I..."

She strained on the words. Libenalas actully had to believe she was desprite about advice. If not her plans would certainly fail; and she could not have that happen. Not in the least bit...

Alas had to keep her jaw from dropping in shock Twist was asking her for advice? Her ears perked slightly as she looked at the young alpha with intent blue eyes.

"Whats wrong?" She was instantly worried if there was something bad enough to make Twist come off her high horse and ask advice then she should be worried. Alas hoped that it didn't have to do with any pups being hurt or what if Algoma was hurting Twist? What did the alpha need her help for though, she was a healer not some bodygaurd...unless the alpha had found out about her sneaking off. She tried to keep a concerned face instead of a guilty one and looked up at Twist to hear her out.

Twists mind was like a machine quickly working out terrible plans of entrapment and loopholes. Maybe she would start her little plan with Alas early. Prehaps if she did that it'd be more convincing then if Algoma went and attacked her right off the bat.

"Well-" Her head seamed to dart back and forth as if she was checking for something.

"It's about Algoma..."

She lowered her voice to a dangerous whisper as if somebody else would hear. "I've been meaning to tell you this from the beginning- but I've be fearful of her wrath..."

She then started to tremble on the outside putting on a rather well done act. Alas would surely have to belive her after all the sniveling and whining she was doing. She almost sounded puppy-like. She sighed mentally as she thought of Algoma laughing her a** off if she saw her.

"She's the one controlling the pack...she's evvvvviiiiiillll. You need to help me get the pack under my control again. Please help."

She whined ever so slightly then as if she thought somebody say her straighted up her body and looked down at Alas. "If anyone asked this conversation NEVER happened..."

Alas looked at Twist startled. "I knew it...I knew she was no good...oh Twist you should have told me sooner...but...I met her and...well normally I like everyone but she was so..." She cut her own words off and moved closer to nuzzle and lick Twists muzzle in a motherly fashion.

"Don't worry I won't let her or anyone else hurt you...I have a ...plan" She ended with a slight pause not yet ready to mention the pack she had befriended and her training. She looked around as if to ensure Algoma wasn't nearby before nodding to Twist.

"I'll tell everyone that Algoma's not to be trusted...maybe..." She looked down uncertainly before looking around and back to the young alpha. "Maybe we should stage something...if I pretended to throw you out of power then Algoma would have no sway and she would leave?"
PostPosted: Tue Sep 25, 2007 7:43 pm

She shook her head. "You'll only single yourself out if you let everyone know Alas. Everyone else is loyal to Algoma. She was the one that brought them into the pack. They are all her followers. We have to do this all silently."

She seamed to whisper back at Alas as her eyes darted back and forth nervously. What a wonderful job she seamed to be doing convincing the other that she was needed. Inwardly her deamon was growing ever so larger. Oh if only she could bite the lacy wolf's tounge instead of accepting it.

"Thats why I had to tell you- your the only one that Algoma didn't bring into the pack. Your the only free mind we have here- aside from me. If I fell from power infront of Algoma it would do nothing more then alert the others she has won...and we don't want that..."

Alas frowned and nuzzled Twist reassuringly. "Then for now we'll just ahve to recruit more of our own...adults that can stand against the lynx..." She looked at Twist uncertainly before hesitantly voicing her opinion.

"Twist I'm sure Larka is a brilliant pup but perhaps we should find some adults with skill for fighting to be our betas...it would make better sense..." She sat back down after all she didnt want to smother Twist just reassure her that Algoma wouldn't get the upper paw.

"I'll keep an eye on any new recruits we may be ableto get in and try and keep Algoma away from them..." She sighed and nodded.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 25, 2007 8:14 pm

She nodded. "Oh yes we need more recruits...I'm actully gathering two strong parents and an entire litter as we speak- we can raise them to be our defenders- to protect our lands from Algoma. I hear tale the father has much disgust in the feline. So this will work to our advange. Plus you'd love the litter of puppies they have."

Inwardly she was rather getting disgusted with herself. God she'd need to maul something after talking to Alas. Raise the pups for good? Defenders? What the hell was she making? A super hero league?! She shook her head inwardly. At least Alas was falling for her plot- and with that would have no problem with her training the puppies. Heh and with much luck they would overthrow Alas with the 'special' training Twist was going to give them all on the side. Then the pack would follow Algoma and Twist or else her little monsters would distroy them!

"I should probally do it alone...at least if I show the pack that I have taken down the mighty Algoma then they might follow me..."

The storm wolfs ear made another dangerous flick towards the woods as if she swore she heard something. "We should probally stop talking before somebody hears us..."

Libenalas nodded proud of the initiative Twist was showing under such distress. She would have to help however she could and make sure to keep up her secret training on the side.

"I'll help you to train the pups and I'll tend any injuries for our side...a lynx won't beat us." She nodded and looked around worried before backing up and sitting casually.

She looked at Twist. "You need only call if you need me and I will come to aid you."

Having been laying in the middle of the salty white rocks a couple levels below the talking pair. The lynx had heard the overly friendly tone that was Twist's cover up and taking a slight liberty upon herself. Ascended the rocky slopes in the most repulsive sunny side of the cliffs.

Having came back from the latest kills in the territory where Rome and his family resided, Algoma had hoped to speak with Twist and give a slight report. Though, it would be in a bustle of disrespectful tone and opposition which was the facade inside the main den's location. The pure looking lynx was sporting her vile side to the extreme in this vicinity and it lowered the kills of the 'precious' prey to the pink fluff as the feline went back to her aimless killing in another land.

Algoma had watched and noted that the two parents were leaving the den for longer times as they carted off the piling up corpses and having to hunt further away. It made the cold dead heart in her vile chest beat with pride at the thought of exposed weak babies.

Oh her mouth began to salivate at the idea. No, the mutts and the pups were for the growing army. Quirking an ear the lynx listened for a bit in the silent camouflage, though she was about to roll into the watery depths from the almost believable sincerity Twist was talking with.

She nodded with a quirky sort of smile. "Ah thats good- we will turn them into little warriors then- fighting for the good of the world and all that fiddle faddle." She plugged the last of that sentence with a half smile not excatly knowing what to say being she had never done the 'good' thing.

"Well you know- good stuff...hugging puppies, saving trees, umm you probally know alot more about this then I do." She drew another long blank and desided it was best to stop talking. Half from the fact she was going to be sick from what she was saying, and second it was the first time she actully sounded stupid. Like hell she knew what good wolves did! Frankly her life was filled with so much pain and hatred from birth that was really all she knew.

She quirked another ear; this time it was less embelished then before. Ah so Algoma had been listening. Something told her she was going to get laughed at royally for her little display tonight- but it would all be worth it in the end. Flicking her ear back she turned towards Alas. "That I will do, my dear friend." Again she had to stop herself from gagging.

Alas tilted her head as Twist started to ramble her eyes showing concern for the alpha. "It's best not fight for either good or bad but let nature take it's course...after all packs have to fight for territory all the time and you can't exactly label one as good and another as bad..." She blinked asTwist kept rambling on.

"Saving trees?" she tilted her head now utterly confused, who would save a tree? And from what?

"Are you alright Twist? Listen I'm sure being an alpha so young, dealing with these troubles could get to anyone...perhaps it would be best if you got some rest. After all we wouldn't want you to come down with anything." She gave Twist's muzzle a friendly lick at the same time checking her temperature and sniffing for any signs of illness.

The lynx had to go down the cliff side for her side was forming a stitch with the laughter withheld. This was so rich Algoma wouldn't rag on Twist because that would just be slightly wrong. Icy eyes sparkled though as the thought of the plan already in motion on Alas and pride with the advancement of the second plan.

She looked around for something to leave on the cliff as a single for Twist. The signal would tell the young alpha that her evil comrade was down at the coast line, but it would just leave the laughing hysterically out of it until Twist arrived. Everything was going well, but the fact that the lynx had received a bruised rib and a sprang ankle in a tussle with a large dominant bear in the mutts' territory.

Though the pain was there the lynx wouldn't show weakness in the presence of strong willed others. The only time she would possibly show weakness would be in the darkest depths of her claimed den up on the very top of the rocky cliffs, or in the cave in the dark forest outlining the land part of the territory.

That was when a seagull flew down and spotted the feline near the hidden rocky nest. It began to swooped and dive at her, cawing and trying its hardest to drive away the unaware threat to its unhatched young. Most would scatter, but this foolish act only made Algoma mad and she watched the bird carefully. Waiting for the moment to capture the beast and pluck the feathers off it its still breathing body, possibly break the wings too for good measure as she molted the bird.
