There is a thing, as too much garlic. Well, garlic powder at any rate.
Yes, yes, I know what you all are saying right now, "It's not true! You lie! You MUST be mistaken!" That's just the denial talking.
See, earlier tonight, I was making some rice, and I decided to shake some garlic powder over the top. Now, my container is the kind with a "shake" side and a "pour" side. I opened the wrong side.
When my rice was finished, the garlic had turned the rice into garlic paste. I should have snagged a pic for you guys. Anyways, I managed to eat about 3/4 of it, chasing it down with iced tea and a BBQ pork sandwich. It was... dare I say it?... NASTY! So nasty, in fact, that I had to throw the rest away (after a long Viking funeral, obviously.)
The worst part is that now a good chunk is gone from my garlic powder. This makes me a sad panda. crying
Discuss: Excess garlic as a metaphor for modern Western capitalism.

And power-hungry Slytherin loved those of great ambition...|> ---|Ah, the "too much garlic" mistake. I've done that with fresh garlic in pasta sauce before. Not fun, not fun at all.
Garlic in moderation is a wonderful, wonderful thing, though.

I simply can't discuss garlic as a metaphor for modern western capitalism because i always sucked at philosophy and know nothing about modern western capitalism (that i know of).
I'll just talk about how I use garlic to bam up my cooking instead! ('specially in pasta sauce)

[Shadow.Elven-mage] I've done that with fresh garlic in pasta sauce before. WHAT? Last night, I added 3 pieces of fresh garlic, a buttload of garlic powder, more garlic powder, a buttload of Italian seasoning, more garlic powder, and then sprinkled garlic powder over the top of the sauce. I think it needed more garlic. ******** Ragu.

TI, and Wingo, those are all awesome spices, especially garlic.
Mooby, how dare you compare garlic to capitalism?

What economic system would you compare garlic to then BB? Garlic is the best spice yet in practice, though theoretically there are better spices. (Imagine garlic and chives as one spice) Capitalism is the best system yet in practice, though theoretically there are better systems.
Quite a good comparison in my mind.
