Fedha'Kialio yawned and shifted his paws through the sand, standing and heading toward the den. He was growing very bored of this beach life and wondered when they'd actually be meeting the pride. Not that he really wanted to do that either... but it was something to do.
Plus he was very worried about incidents concerning Ivie, she could really mess up his life at this point. He had to keep all information about the female away from Ausi... at least until he figured out what was really going on.
Also he was growing curious of his children. Did any show signs of having the power of visions? He couldn't be sure. He sighed... was this what his life had really come to?

Tabaradi was a quiet cub. He tended to shy away from his siblings and the other lions, and spent most of his time wandering the beaches or the coves, or simply staring blankly at the sea.
Often, if the small cub stared long enough at the pounding waves and the shimmering waters, he would find himself... seeing things. Images, in the water. Most of the time he didn't understand them, sometimes they scared him, but most of all they fascinated him, and he wanted to see more.
That was what he was doing today. Perched on a large rock near a small tidepool, the silver cub focused his bright eyes on the waves. He was so absorbed in staring that he wouldn't have noticed if a herd of elephants passed by, much less his father.

Fedha blinked and looked to his right for some reason. His eyes landed on Taba, one of his quieter boys. He was not playful and adventurous like the other two... No. He was more like Fedha! He started to move toward his son, trying to see what he saw that was so interesting in the water.
"Good morning Tabaradi." It was actually pretty rare for Fedha to speak to any of his children.

Tabaradi started at his name being spoken, and looked around at his father. He frowned softly, upset that his concentration had been broken.
"Hello, papa." He replied, studying Fedha carefully. He looked quite a lot more like his father than his mother, but he did have her almost disconcertingly bright eyes.
After a long pause, the cub turned back to the sea, unfocusing his eyes and trying to get back into the 'trance' that resulted, sometimes, in visions...

Fedha blinked and frowned. What was this, he didn't want to talk to a father who rarely gave him the time of day? Fedha had half the mind to go away but his son made him curious. Why was he so different from the other two?
"What are you doing?" He asked slowly, moving beside the cub to sit down next to him.

"Looking for shapes." Tabaradi replied automatically, not moving from his position or looking away from the sea.
Another long pause, and as the silver cub stared at the water with glazed-over eyes, something clicked. Pictures formed in front of his eyes, seemingly formed out of the waves themselves. He watched them greedily for a moment, then shut his eyes.
Opening them again, he peered at his father. "That was a bad one." He explained softly.

Fedha's eyes lit up only after the last words his son spoke. At first he was growing annoyed and feeling foolish for interacting with his boy. He did love his children, completely, but sometimes he just couldn't deal with... well how childish they were. Looking for shapes indeed!
Ah... but Fedha realized they must be special shapes, because as he looked at the ocean he couldn't see any shapes, not really. "Taba, why was it bad?" He asked, trying to figure out how to explain being a seer to him. Oh! This was so amazing.. his own son...
Oh Fedha'Kialio, what was your mind up to now?

Taba studied his father, sitting up and curling his tail primly around his paws as he did so. He pondered Fedha's question carefully before answering.
"...It was just bad. Bad things happened." He frowned, unsatisfied with that vague answer.
Reflecting on the scene he'd witnessed, he tilted his head at his father. "You were in it." He commented, realizing it was true, and watching the older lion's face curiously.

Fedha blinked and sighed and was about to ask the little guy to elaborate but then he mentioned that he was in it! Oh, oh! Fedha's mouth twisted slightly and he wasn't sure that he liked being in his son's vision, not at all.
His tail flicked and his heart suddenly sped up. Oh no, could he have seen a similar vision to the one that fedha had shared with Ivie days ago? His head started to hurt just thinking about that awful vision. That couldn't be his future. No, no! "Er... well never mind, forget that 'shape' then." He said, smiling encouragingly.
"Do you know what these shapes mean, Taba?" He was curious if he'd figured any of it out on his own, he was a smart boy.

Continuing to watch Fedha, the little cub frowned slightly as he was told to forget what he'd seen. He would never do THAT, the shapes and pictures he saw in the sea were by far the most interesting thing in his life, and he was a little bit obsessed with them. How could his father ask him to forget something so important to him?
This train of thought was cut off, however, as Fedha asked him what the pictures meant. Tabaradi stared blankly. He had never considered that they might mean something. He'd always just seen them as entertainment, as his own little world that he could escape into.
"No." He answered, then narrowed his eyes. "Do you?"

He smiled slowly and shifted, glancing down at his son. "Yes." He replied simply, though he didn't explain it right away. Ah, so he didn't figure they were anything important. He just watched 'daydreams' in the sea.
"What you're seeing are fragments of the future... sometimes it can be a picture of the past or present too, though." He had heard of those only able to see the past, some could only see flashes of the present for others. Fedha always saw the future.
"I know this because I can see the future, Taba." His tail flicked and his voice was quivering with excitement. Oh the things he would have done differently in his life! But now... now..
His eyes glued to his son and he suddenly let his mind start to go auto-pilot as he thought a lot. "When I sleep at night I have many strange dreams about things I don't understand.... but these aren't like my normal dreams. I feel these dreams. Do you ever.... feel those pictures that you see? Are they different feeling than say... a day dream?"
