((Continuing from the main thread.))
Vitus ploped himself down near the entrance to the rabbit den. His tail flicked gently upon the ground as he watched Ieshia stuff her head into the hole trying to get at the rabbit somewhere inside. He held himself back from asking if she had seen the creature, he didn't want to disturb her. He lifted his nose to the sky and began to sniff the air, maybe he could tell just how damaged his sense of smell was.

Ieshia wrinkled her nose letting out a small growl as she continued to loosen the dirt with her paws. Almost there! She could smell the rabbit's fear and knew she had to get it quickly...she didn't want to give it ANY chance to escape. Finally, she could reach! She lashed her head forward, her jaws snapping shut on the rabbit, causing it to give out a dying squeel. Her tail wagged and she wriggled her head from the hole, her prize still in her teeth.

Vitus smiled as he heard a squeel come from inside the rabbit den. His ears flicked as he raised to his feet and walked over to Ieshia, she must have gotten the rabbit, if he had heard correctly anyways. The smile across his maw widened as he saw Ieshia pull her head out from the hole, rabbit hanging from her maw. He wagged his tail, that was great.

Ieshia grinned and set the rabbit down upon the ground, since it was obviously not getting up again. She licked the blood from her muzzle, ears flickering about in thought. Sitting back on her haunches she cocked her head to the side, asking, "You want first bite...? I did eat earlier after all."

The lone wolf glanced down at the rabbit then back up at Ieshia. As she usually did, she offered him first bite. He smiled and gave her a gentle nudge "You furst." She had afterall caugt the rabbit and even if she had eaten before he thought she should take the first bite. He allowed his tail to swish happily behind him, he wasn't extreamly hungry, but he was just a tad bit.

Ieshia felt her ear twitch to the side uncertainly. Not wanting to cause him discomfort or exasperation, she agreed with a reluctant nod. Bringing her head down to the ground, she parted her jaws and fixed them upon a part of the rabbit. She jerked her head slightly, pulling off a piece of meat. She tilted her head back, chomping on it slightly with her back teeth and then swallowed. Licking her muzzle she gave a wag of her tail in his direction, telling him it was his turn.

Vitus licked his chops as Ieshia gave a wag of her tail motioning that it was his turn to eat. He lowered his snout to the rabbit carcas and slowly bit down on it taking a chunck out of meat. Lifitng his head up sligtly he swallowed the meat whole. The feeling of warm filled his thorat as the meat slid gently down into his stomach. It was a good feeling, and felt even better once the meat hit his stomach. Lowling his head he took another chunk of meat and sat down chewing on this pirtuular piece. He wagged his tail at Ieshia in gratitude that she had helped get food.

Ieshia let out a breath through her mouth and let her tongue hang out lazily. Ah, that had tasted good...and felt good too. Her dark tail swished lightly to the side as she looked at Vitus with curious golden eyes. After a moment she questioned, "What shall we do with the rest...? Do you want more...?"

Vitus let out a yawn as he streached out his limbs. he glanced down at the rest of the rabbit meat laying on the ground then at Ieshia. "I'm fune, you cun huve it." he smiled with a wag of his tail. The amount of meat he had eaten was enough for him for the time being.

Ieshia flickered her tail to the side thoughtfully and then dipped her muzzle, fixing her fangs in the rabbit again. She ripped off another piece of meet, using her paw to hold it down slightly as she twisted her head. Swallowing it and feeling satisfied she looked at what was left over. She supposed they could bury it and come back to it later.

A smile crossed his thoughts as his friend took another bite from the meat, he was happy she was eating more. She always had more engery then him and food would be good for her to keep up that energy of hers. His darkened ears flickered "Whut nu?" he asked lifting his head, slowly turning it towards the way they had came. He tail swished as he shifted the weight upon his paws, making sure to keep his ingured paw elevated off the ground as much as he could.

Ieshia glanced sideways at him, hearing his question. With his paw the way it was, it was probably best if they headed back. He could get some rest then and let the wound heal properly. She glanced back toward the direction they had come from, her reply muffled by the rabbit, "I suppose we can head back."

The adult wolf let out a yawn as he streatched out his limbs. His good forepaw was slightly sore from the constant pressure he was having to place upon it. "Alrught." he spoke, his voice sounded almost half asleep. Quickly he shook his head forcing himself to become more aware of the things around him. He wasn't sure why, but a sudden sleepyness had fallen upon him.

Ieshia flicked her dark tail to the side and then started off into an easy lope. She kept a good grip on what was left of the rabbit, musing over where she should bury it. She glanced back from time to time, making sure Vitus was following and doing alright. She could then give him a smile and turn her head back and continue on, still keeping her pace slow and relaxed.

Vitus followed slowly behind his friend as they headed back. He let out a yawn and shut his eyes for a moment. Thoughts drifted though his mind, of his past and his pack. His tail stilled as the wolf stumbled, opening his eyes. He gave his head another shake and picked up his pace slightly. Hed couldn't slow down Ieshia, it didn't feel right making her have to wait on him. Pressing his ears back he trotted up alongside Ieshia, maybe he'd feel better closer to his friend.
