She was so tired. She had been running after her cubs all morning and just couldn’t find it in herself to go on! So she fell onto her side and napped in the sand. Boy was she lazy, even as a mother she found time to get away and nap. She loved her cubs, really, but she was inside still a cub herself. She needed some nap time too.
Rolling onto her side Ausi sighed and opened her soft blue eyes. She loved the sea. She loved waking up to its cool waves and waters. Slowly she pulled her body upward and yawned, looking around. Her cubs must have run off to bother grandpa- good! Grandpa needed bothering… he needed to get use to cubs again, after all.. His new mate was going to birth cubs, HIS cubs.
Lord, Ausi was going to be a sister and a mother at the same time. The world was ending.

Fedha slunk along sticking manly to the shade when he could. He looked terrible, rumpled and exhausted. The vision had taken a lot out of him... and he wasn't sure how long he'd bin out for. An hour? A day? It hardly matter.. he'd woken and Ivie had been gone. His cubs? That couldn't be! He hadn't touched Ivie...
but that period of pure blackness was beginning to bother him and he was over thinking everything. Had he done anything? He was feeling horribly guilty about everything, even if nothing had happened... it couldn't have! He loved Ausi so dearly and everything was finally going fine...
His eyes registered her beautiful body laying in the sand and he tried to smile but it turned to a grimace. Maybe he should be avoiding her right now... let things blow over... he felt too weird! What if he had done something wrong?
"Hello dear." He said softly.

“What?”
Auysi spat out rudely and jumped onto her paws.
“Why did you call me that? Are you sick? What did you do wrong?”
She frowned and gazed at her mate with a rather iterated look before smirking. Oh she had jokes. She loved messing with him. With a bright smile Ausi quickly leapt for him and nipped at his mane playfully. She loved him sooo much.
“What have you been up to? Today that is. Have you seen my father at all? Did you hear, he is going to be a father again. Hima, his mate, she is going to have cubs! Isn’t that nuts. He is so old.”
She rambled. She couldn’t see the sick look on his face.

He froze and his eyes went wide. Oh! Oh she knew already? But then he realized she was just teasing him and tried to relax his face and body quickly. He just chuckled lightly, rubbing his head against her neck.
Her father was having cubs? That was a little gross actually... wasn't he old? "No I have not seen your father..." He said. He didn't say it with the usual annoyance of 'duh, of course I didn't. I hate your father, I fear him'. "I... I have just been... walking." He said and realized what a jerk he was sounding like.
"And thinking. You? What have you been doing, were you with the children?" He pressed the matter so she wouldn't question walking and thinking... after all, it sounded like something he would do.

“The kids are with Grandpa.”
She frowned and stopped.
“Fedha, what’s wrong? Your feeling alright?”
Something just didn’t seem right. He NEVER asked abut the cubs, unless it was about schooling or his son’s seer gift. She felt uneasy. Her soft blue eyes narrowed as she slowly padded closer to him, speaking.
“Something happen?”

Fedha was starting to tense again and he would not look at Ausi. "Nothing." He said softly. Who was he kidding? Ausi knew him better than anyone! "I am feeling fine." He said, his voice started to get an edge to it. He was beginning to feel very irritable. Ausi couldn't know... couldn't suspect a thing! He was going mad over this... he just needed time to think dammit!
"Nothing happened." He sneered, deciding maybe he should just be mean to his beloved. But it was breaking his heart inside. "Mind your own business Ausi." He muttered, starting to walk ahead of her. Nothing happened but she should mind her own business?

“Mind WHAT?”
Ausi yelled at him as he passed her. Her eyes were narrow with anger, how could he talk to her like that?
“Hey, Boy, I have been looking after /your/ cubs all day, the least you could do for me is be kind. I was only asking you a simple question.”
She snorted and followed him, her claws extending as she gazed at him with a rather bitter look. When he was rude to her she was rude back. She hated when he acted that way, it tore her up inside.
“Don’t walk away from me when I am talking to you.”

He winced but held fast to his words. God dammit, this sucked. If he stuck around he'd feel guilty the whole time and if he left she'd be pissed.
He stood still after she told him not to look away, a bitter frown on his mug as he stared straight ahead. Fine, he'd wait until she was done speaking to him. His tail twitched in annoyance and his teeth clenched together hard. He hated feeling this way with Ausi. He suddenly took a deep breath and turned to look at her.
"I'm sorry." He said softly. "My visions have been giving me headaches lately... I didn't mean to say that s**t to you.." He said slowly and carefully. This would fix things. He moved forward, to give her an apologetic nuzzle.

Ausi wasn’t buying the bullshit he was giving her, in fact she hated it more now they she knew he was faking. Her eyes rolled as she pulled away from him and muttered.
”I have known you all of my life yet you still aren’t truthful to me? I gave you cubs, a family and my undying love, and here I am crumbling into a million tiny bits, sorrow filled, and all you can do is lie to me? No more Fedha.”
Ausi turned and started to walk away. She just couldn’t handle it when he wasn’t himself.
“I am going to take care of my cubs. Don’t bother coming home later, I want my mate to sleep beside me, not some stranger.”

He stared at her back, completely shocked. He didn't even offer any response. He was floored at the fact that she stood up for herself. Very rarely did she do that.
"What the ********." He hissed when she was almost out of view, pissed and guily feeling and upset all at once. Why now? He wanted to kill Ivie. No that wasn't true... Ivie was his friend! Sort of. His tail lashed behind him as he tried to work out what had just happened.
"Like I wanted kids or your love.." He muttered, feeling sullen and acting like a child. "Where the hell do you want me to sleep... a ditch?" He huffed and looked around slowly. He grunted and he suddenly just lay where he was standing, curling into a tight ball.
If Ausi couldn't accept his lies then fine! He couldn't tell the truth. Not now.
A few minutes had past until he started to feel panicky. Oh god, what was he supposed to do with out Ausi? His life had become ausi. Sort of, mostly. He did everything to please her (almost) and didn't bother interacting with others (unless he had to. Ivie didn't count in his mind). He even spent time with the cubs! (Tabaradi mostly).
Oh s**t, then it hit him. He was a terrible mate. A selfish one, at least. He stared half at his paws and half at the ground, eyes wide as he thought this all through. And Ivie was baring his cubs! Some how! He didn't touch her! No, no! He'd blacked out... no what if he just went into some crazy fit and his memory blanked on it?
Fedha was certainly going a little insane. Of course... he'd been crazy mostly all of his life. "Stranger." He purred out, rolling onto his back and trying to relax. He stared up at the clouds, they were always calming.
He couldn't tell her. He should tell her. He almost got up to go tell her... no he stayed there.
He just couldn't handle himself period.
He needed his visions back! Regularly, like before. He couldn't function well with out their guidance! At least... his brain didn't feel stable with them being 'gone'.

She was in tears by the time she reached her father’s den, her heart racing. She wouldn’t be able to tell him about it, Akamu didn’t like Fedha much as it was… she didn’t want to start drama. Her tail tucked close behind her back paws as she sat down outside of the den and sighed, gazing out at the sea.
She wished Fedha well, no matter what.
Maybe he just didn’t love her anymore. She didn’t know.
Ausi could only hope that he would snap out of it before it was too late.
