mahii knocked on the door of Nanashi's room. Kamu had been adamant about speeding it up as they ambled down the hallway, so it ended up becoming more of a chase than a walk. mahii wanted answers and apparently Kamu wanted Iole for...a challenge or something? mahii didn't know.

Kamu on the other hand, knew exactly what she was going after. Iole needed to help her find a kitten. Not just any kitten. They'd have to leave. She wondered in her little child's mind if they could ditch the Tailless One for this adventure.

mahii sagged against the doorframe for a minute and caught her breath, muttering something about needing to get back in shape. Then she smiled at Nanashi and entered way behind her rampant charge.

Kamu growled deep in her throat. It was a friendly growl toward Iole, explaining how dumb the Tailless One was and why it took her so LONG to get here. She outlined what the House had determined for her in small squeaks and mrowls and when she was done her stubby little tail was swishing and the cloth mouse was collecting drool in Kamu''s fanged mouth.

"oh. you know. They heal, she gnaws them, they heal again. They're on the better side of things lately actually. Thank you for asking. Actually, I'm here because Kamu's been acting kinda...strange these last couple of days. I was thinking maybe seeing Iole would help that. She keeps shouting, 'BIG CAT!" at me." mahii throws her hands up, "taking care of this little one is hard!"


Kamu snickers. Like the Tailless One and her friend were smart enough to notice the two kittens leaving. She nudged Iole in affirmative and started crawling slowly to the closed door, "House say go, we go," she seemed to say.

mahii sighed and then held up her hands in a victory pose, "well. Maybe this way guys'll think I'm cool! Or something." She turned to check on Kamu and...found her gone. "AHHHH!!"


Kamu, meanwhile was already most of the way down the hall with Iole. For babies, they sure could book it. She grabbed Iole's tail, asking which way they should be going in.

mahii dashed after Nanashi--there was no way she was going to lose her child now. She heard the click of a shutting door and turned the corner to find an entire hallway of doors. And thusly, her head hit her palm with a deafening smack.

Kamu giggled a bit evilly as she crawled down the flight of stairs revealed by the door. Her little tail waggled back and forth in anticipation. They were finally going to get what the House had been compelling her to find! "Nyrow?" She cooed in Iole's direction. What was she looking for?

mahii continued hunting aimlessly for her child, "kamu? where'd you go!?" she shouted into open doors. Nothing.

Kamu nodded, "Out," she replied. There was no other way to go about it. She continued to crawl down and down as far as the staircase went. It was a loooong staircase. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity to a young child, a door came into view. There were strange markings on it that only a door of the House could have. Kamu pointed, "Out!"

Kamu, her lynx half taking over for a moment, burst out of the door and started sniffing everything in sight. Her nose satiated and a few plants with tastes out of them, she came back to Iole, "that way?" she asked. She could feel a pull into the jungle.

Kamu mrowls at the undergrowth clutching at her tail. Great. She was going to have to lick it clean tonight. She sniffs the air and catches a whiff of something...familiar in a way. "here!" she says, making a turn and heading off the trail she was on.
