yes, it is for general chat, but i'd like if topics had purpose to them. Such as changing your subject to "Who's your favorite Harry Potter character? Why?"
Otherwise, its kinda pointless to read one line topics.

Go Sirius! All the way. Well...young Sirius. I love how he's so light hearted and so upbeat. I also like Prof. McGonagall (as you'll know if you read my fanfic). And Young TMR is TOTALLY HOT

My favorite character has changed dramatically since the very beginning. It has changed from Hermione to Lucius to Draco to Narcissa...and finally to Bellatrix.
She's evil, sadistic, and an overall brilliant character. She stayed loyal to the Dark Lord for the longest time and I enjoy that loyalty. She's really...one of a kind. She has reached the second to top rung of the evil ladder and...well, let's just say I would aspire to be in her position if I was in the HP world. One thing I would differently? Not get caught. biggrin
I have found my final favorite character and she will forever be my favorite. A small tribute goes out to her death.

I'll have to say that my favorite characters are Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy.
I like Lucius because I've always found him to be really cool. I like Narcissa's character because she's shown that not all members of the Black family are either clear cut "Death Eater material" or rebels like Sirius (I guess Regulus is sort of like that but he doesn't count because he's dead). In the first 6 books or so she was portrayed as a static evil character (like I think Voldemort is) but I think the seventh and partly the 6th shows that she's not who she appears to be at first glance and there's a lot more to her than what we see through Harry Potter's (and friends) eyes.
I think I root for the "bad guys" quite often. xd

It shows that (I believe) when she whispers to Harry in TDH "Is Draco safe? Is he in the castle?" Her only concern was her son. Like any mother. We choose what we think is best for our children.

Snape.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a little bit in love with most of the characters, but Sevvie is undoubtedly Rowling's finest creation.
