The young adolescent lioness wandered aimlessly through the Pridelands. The area slowly began to become more and more familiar to her. No longer did she feel like a lost stranger in a large world, she felt comfortable spending her time there. She was not an official member, just a rogue searching for a home. She stopped under a tree with large branches, providing plenty of shade from the beaming hot sun. Zuri stretched with a relaxed yawn. Everything was peaceful and all was well.

Noyana had noticed over the past few weeks something insane; she had gained a considerable amount more muscle mass, grown taller, and changed mentally, all at once. The female had to look down to see Chaka now; though she barely saw Chaka as often since she had had a pup. Noyana was almost as tall as Siltim now- though she had as much bulk.
What's more important, she had taken down a water buffalo recently, which she had tried as a juve and almost got caught by the raging horned beast.
Today, though, her goals weren't as big as bringing down such a creature. She wanted simply to rest in the shade, once she found a suitable spot. She wandered in search of such a spot, not noticing the lioness until she had stepped into the shade herself.
"Oh, hello!" she said to the unfamiliar face. "Sorry for intruding, would you like me to leave. or...?"

"Oh, no its fine," responded Zuri quickly. She would hate for someone to leave her. She could use a new friend or at least an acquantance. "I'd actually love to have some company."
Zuri pushed herself off the ground from her stretched and lying position, smiling politely at the brightly yellow lioness.
"My name is Zuri," she said sweetly. "Are you from these lands? The Pridelands?"

"Nice to meet you Zuri, I'm Noyana," she said. "I do live here, I have all my life," she said with a content nod. She supposed her lack of bangs should be an indicator, but she didn't expect anyone to know that off-the-bat, especially if they were a new face around the lands as she guessed Zuri was. She plopped down rather ungracefully into the dirt and grass under her paws. "So do you like it here? Hot day, huh?" she asked trying to strike up conversation.

((Suuuuper late! Sorry, I forgot to put the link to this RP in my SoA journal.))
"I guess its fine here," she said with a slight nod. "Its nice to have a place to rest in for a while. I had been traveling for a long time. A very long, long time. Since I was a cub, I've been on my own. But I traveled to here where I've reunited with my brother, who I hadn't seen since I got lost, back when I was a cub."
She gave a half-frown, still disappointed in herself for getting lost all that time ago. She was happy that she was able to be with her brother again, but she still missed her mother, wherever she is now. She's probably looking for her children still. Zuri felt so bad about it all.

((Don't sweat it. ^^ (I was kinda hiatus-y for a bit there anyway)<3))
"Did you ever find your way home?" The bright adolescent asked. Who knew, maybe Zuri had gone back to her home and left again? "Sounds like quite the adventure, nontheless," Noyana said. She hadn't done anything as exciting, really... She was only planning to rebel against the Pride and hope to bring about some change, but that was a secret. An outsider or a newcomer to the Pride had no reason to know or care, really.

"Well, I sort found my way back home, but it was more my family that I was looking for. I'm very glad to be back with my brother now, although I still miss my mother. I wonder whether we'll ever see her again," said Zuri with a soft sigh. "It was an adventure indeed."
She paused for a moment, feeling that what she was about to say would sound strange.
"I sort of miss it. My adventure. Don't misunderstand, I'm happy to be with my brother, but I miss the thrill of adventure. I just wish there was something exciting to do while I wait for my ma to show up," she said, feeling unsure. The only other lions or lionesses she had talked to from the Pridelands had been to young for her to really relate with that well. She wondered if there was more fun to be had than she had seen so far.

"I know what you mean," the bright adolescent said with a couple of nods. "While I don't think I'd ever willingly leave here, I wouldn't mind having a grand adventure. I'm always searching for a mini-one here... A new one every day. But I think the real adventure comes when you're not sure where your next meal'll come from. Of course, you'd know better than me," Noyana admitted to the stranger. Her story sure sounded exciting.

Zuri laughed, remembering an incident when she was a cub.
"When I was a cub and still living with my family, we lived not too far from the Pridelands. I had met a lioness...also named Zuri. Aurizuri, if I recall correctly. She had told me she never left these lands either and I had told her to go on an adventure. Little did I know that I would soon be on one."
She laughed some more, remembering her childhood youth. It made her feel happy, thinking about her childhood. She loved to have fun, it was a shame that she hadn't been having as much of it since she had ended her adventure.
"I would encourage you to find yourself a long adventure, but sometimes the excitement is too overwhelming," she said with a smile, cooling down her laughter. "Now, tell me about these 'mini-adventures'. I'd love to have some fun, I haven't been having too much of fun as of late, unfortunately."

A grand adventure... Yes, Noyana needed that sometime soon, but she had a feeling she'd get one. She knew that soon enough, she'd be helping Taka's line return to power, as they should have been. That, in itself, would be more than enough to consider a grand adventure. She was sure it would be a long, challenging ambition, she'd always thought it so, but since she learned of the injustice from Tufah, Noyana knew it was a worthy cause.
She was dragged out of her reverie at the mention of one of these mini-adventures. "Well, I usually just meander around the lands until something finds me. Or until I find something, whichever comes first. It's never failed, there's always someone or something interesting. Let's meander... that way!" She said, pointing herself in a completely random direction. Since she'd gotten bigger, her exploring range had grown considerably. She could now comfortably wander from one end of the Pridelands to the opposite in a day. That meant more things to run into, so her everyday was more exciting than it used to be. She rose to her paws. "Shall we?"
