Asikari smiled as he moved through the lands that he owned, enjoying the sun high in the sky and the smell of the fresh air all around him. It was good to be a king on days like these, especially when he didn't have much to do.

She'd been through drama, and she'd come out the other end of the tunnel smiling. She'd successfully delivered four fine, healthy babies, and she and Taabu had moved passed whatever problems they'd had, and with feelings confessed, they were now officially an item. This was Taabu's home, and this was where she planned to stay now. Her wandering had been short, yes, but with Taabu here, she felt no desire to go any further. It was like she truly had found home again, after the last had been lost. Now all she had to do was get official acceptance into the pride from Taabu's grandfather, and she could then happily stay here with the one she loved.
She caught sight of Asi in the distance, and from the description she'd been given, she guessed it was him. Moving into a trot, the small, young lioness padded forward until she was just a little bit behind the much larger male. "Excuse me," she called. "Would you possibly be King Asikari?"

He turned and stared at the white lioness completely unsure of who she was. Ari would have known, she was good at that kind of thing. He wasn't even aware of great-grandchildren. "Aye, aye... and 'oo be you?" He grunted, eyes slightly narrowed. White was a rare color in these lands. And she was young. She must have known one of his relations if she knew who he was though.
"An' do no call me king.." He muttered, turning around fully to meet her half way and sit slowly. He hated being called king.

Nyunya frowned mildly, somewhat put off by Asi's attitude, the narrowed eyes and the staring. When she'd met Mufasa, a fellow king to this male, he'd been all kindness and smiles, even though she was again a complete stranger in the lands. Obviously she knew all kings wouldn't be the same, but a little bit of friendliness would make it easier for newcomers to approach them.
"My name is Nyunya. Your grandson, Taabu, told me to find you... to talk to you."

Asi snorted, but only because he was amused. Why Taabu did not give Ny Ari's name he'd never be sure. Ari was much safer to go to. "Did 'e?" He said slowly, brows raising. He looked at Ny more carefully this time. About Taabu's age, maybe. Girlfriend? Probably.
"An' why is tha'?" He asked, trying to be patient. Too bad Ari was not with him, he could have shoved this bullshit onto her. Oh he hated being bothered about kingly matters! "Yeh wanna join the lands?" He finally asked, getting to the point because it was... well... rather obvious, even to Asi who was known to miss the most obvious of things.

Relieved she wasn't going to have to lay it all out bluntly for Asi, Nyunya nodded her head. "Yes, that's it exactly. Taabu and I are together now," she replied, mentally adding an 'at last' in the back of her mind, a sit had been quite a bumpy ride, "and we would like to live together here. If I have permission to stay."
She slowly sat herself down across from the king, regarding him quietly for a few minutes before deciding to just go for it, because it only gave her more reason to want to stay in these lands. "I think I should probably tell you that you're now a great-grandfather. Of four."

Asi stared at her when she mentioned he was a great grandfather. God dammit why were the hormone levels of his family so high? His ears flickered and he sighed, shaking his head. This pride was mostly family anyhow, right?
"Aye aye." He muttered, putting together something to say to her in his mind. Why did lions do this to him, drop surprising information on him? "Course yeh can live 'ere... yeh are 'avin' 'is kids an' all.." He muttered awkwardly, not sure what else to say in response.

Nyunya hadn't really, honestly expected to be denied a right to live in these lands, but she was still very relieved to have actually been accepted. One less thing on her mind to worry about, as the new mother was still somewhat frazzled about suddenly having four cubs to deal with, and was learning as she went. "Thank you. Thank you very much."
She thought about leaving now; Asi didn't seem like he was much of a talker, and she didn't like being too far from her children for any length of time. "You can come and see them sometime, if you like. One of my daughters looks a little bit like you." And Taabu, as well, of course, but since they shared the same pelt colour, it was all the same. She got to her feet, anyway, ready to go as soon as he gave the signal to.

He watched as she readied herself to go and muttered something in response to the invitation to visit whenever he wanted. Yeah... maybe. It was doubtful though, Asi was lazy.
His tail flicked and he smiled and nodded more. "A'righ. See yeh." He breathed the words out, wanting to get on with doing nothing.

"Uh.. see ya," she replied to Asi, eyebrow arching ever so slightly. She guessed that was that, then. Quite a lot less formal than she'd been expecting, but certainly easier. It wasn't wise to look a gift horse in the mouth, however, and if Asi was going to make it that simple, she wasn't stupid enough to complain about it.
Seeing that the meeting was over, Nyunya turned away from the king and began walking back toward where her cubs and Taabu were, wondering idly if they'd driven him crazy yet. [And that's a wrap. <3]
