The way Mei acted towards Zuko, tells me a few things:
1) yes she does love him
2) she's not very sensitive
3) I'd have slapped her halfway across the world if she'd done that to me
I doubt that the relationship goes on for the whole season, Mike and Bryan are too much of a ********, to pull that through the entire season.

Girlfriends are supposed to comfort their boyfriend when he's depressed, not tell him she doesn't care! D<
Katara would do much better at helping Zuko cope with his angst.
Agreed. Mike and Bryan love messing with out heads, so them pulling some insane twist on the Maiko fans would make sense. :3 Yay for twists!

Augh, Mai angered me here, too... Seriously, Zuko told Katara his problems, and she listens and offers to heal his scar, even if they're 'enemies.' Mai just ignored his feelings and kissed him...
But I didn't think that Maiko would last that long even from the time I saw the trailer. Trailers are meant to tease and mislead us so we become even more surprised later on...Already there are parts of the new season that weren't what I was expecting them to be..
But Maiko won't last, I have that much faith(and more) in Zuko ^^

I was yelling at Mai for being so insensitive and stuff. And for kissing him mad
My friends and I were talking about it. He didn't seem terribly enthousied that Mai was there. I don't know why they're together, but I don't believe it'll last.
My theory goes a lil' something like this:
Mai" KISS ME AND TELL ME I'm PRETTY OR I'll MAKE YOU SWALLOW A KNIFE!!!111!one D<"
Zuko: O__O;;;; Ok! (Dx)"

Yeah, I don't think Maiko will work out if Mai keeps being so insensitive towards Zuko's inner turmoil. He needs a girlfriend that doubles as a therapist!

There hook-up was so random though. They kissed and I did a double take and was like wait WHAT! One moment she was chasing him with Azula the next they're together. NOt even an explanation or a showing of the relationship build up. Which leads me to believe it was made on shaky ground to start on and it won't be able to stand through to the end
