Anastasia was enjoying some private music time in the park, the volume cranked high on a pair of comfortably secondhand headphones Evie had insisted the girl wear. One would think that Ana's guardian didn't enjoy listening to bubbly, unceasing techno music for over five hours. Go figure.
Wandering around in the shade of a particularly oddly placed stand of pine trees in one corner of the park, Ana sang along as best she could with music that had no lyrics. This involved making a lot of robot sounds.
"Doot de deedle doot dooooot, dee da dum, dee baboop!"

Over sensitive ears twitched slightly at the girl's painfully pitched lyrical contributes to her song and it was only a matter of moment before he was putting his hands over them in an attempt to block out the horrid sound. Who would possibly submit any human being to such a thing? Clearly to Orpheus this could only be the sign of someone being tortured off in the middle of the park.
Vampire boy slunk in close to the shade provided by the tree he had taken refuge against. Unlike Qadir, Orpheus wasn't as prone to disliking the sun as his guardian figure, but that didn't mean he wished to go out sunbathing.
When he saw the girl with the headphones and the infernal racket he waved her down with one arm, mouthing words he didn't bother shouting as she was likely not to hear him.
Actually she was more likely to take those phones off if she thought she simply couldn't hear him even though he wasn't making an noise to begin with.

As it turned out, Ana did notice him. She faltered mid-"boop", blushing a peculiar greenish-rosy color that mottled her paper-white skin.
"Sorry," she said instantly, tugging off her earphones. How loud had she been? She hadn't meant to disturb anyone.

Orpheus lifted a brow as he got a better look at the strange looking woman. "Miss, you were either born out of a gel cup or you're just plain weird," he said with a wrinkle his nose while remaining close to the tree. At least he wasn't being cruel about it, for his first thought had certainly been to call her 'just plain ugly,' but green wasn't really the boy's colour.
"Why were you listening to the music so loud anyway? You'll hurt yourself."

Oh, great. Another one with an attitude. The last thing Ana needed was another Adrian encounter. She stood up straighter and smiled politely, tugging at the headphones around her neck.
"I was born outta an oil burner, yeah," she said, voice mild. "And I wasn't listening to it really loud...it's just music that you have to crank up to enjoy. If you don't, it's no good to dance to!"

The boy didn't know who this Adrian was, and a good thing too, for heaven forbid if he'd ever get compared to the lump of emo; the girl would really see some 'tude then.
The vampire believed that the only sort of music that should be enjoyed was classical music, and such tastes ran for the more mellow tones of quiet acceptance rather than blatant blare of what sounded like dying computers. "One is supposed to dance to that? I have found it easier to dance to better catering music, but I suppose if one wanted to simply jerk about then your delightful melody would be perfect." Well damn, he was attempting to be nice - but nice really didn't work out very well for the child.

Ana took a deep breath and remained calm. Her naturally peaceful personality had been taking a lot of testing as of late.
"Well," she said, words patient. "I've never heard any classical music. Would you tell me about it? I'm curious. Who do you like?"
