Ugh, I had something very recent like this. I like to frequent the Q&A forum as of late, and yesterday there was this girl there complaining that her longjohns and her enchanted guitar wouldn't equip together. She also kept bumping her thread, which is against the rules in the Q&A - you're not supposed to bump unless your thread has fallen off of the first page, since it's such a slow-moving forum. I went in and told her that about the bumping, and added that it was a glitch of her clothing. Then I left the thread.

She then proceeds to PM me and said, "scuse me, and how do I know if it really is a glitch or that some items just can't be used together I'm sick of rude people thinking it's ok to talk to people like they are evolutions gift to the world. pish. You don't know me so don't be getting attitude with me like I care if your annoyed. and I was just keeping my thread up so it could be responded to by a none noob. I don't see your name in color so stop acting like your incharge of anything."

I was surprised she'd PMed me. I responded saying that while I might have been abrupt, I wasn't being rude. I told her that I could report her for calling me a noob twice but that I wouldn't. Then I said that if I hadn't warned her about the bumping thing, a mod might have. I wasn't expecting her to respond to me (heaven knows why she did in the first place!) but she did.

She responds again. "it's called the tone of your post was rude. And why does everyone keep telling me about things like I just put my thread up today, I put it up yesterday. And I posted it for someone else to maybe say they are having the same kind of problem and or reply politely saying yes perhaps it is a glitch or to bring it to the attention of an admid or whom ever that there is an error. I wasn't angry about anything. I do get tired of know it alls replying abruptly as you say, talking to people like they have no manners. You can report me all you want but in my post it doesn't say you are a noob I said I wanted none noobs to reply. And you act like I was bumping it over and over there are only three bumps its not that deep seriously. Been caught? People post in the Q&A thread a lot so for all you know it had fallen off the top list. it happens a lot i see my thread one second and the next its gone. I get so tired of arrogant people on this site and others. If thats not how you wanted to come off then you should chose your wording more wisely. There is a polite way to tell someone they made a mistake and a wrong way."

I was getting really annoyed by this point, but I was still trying to be polite. I told her that I wasn't trying to act like a 'know-it-all' and that I hadn't been rude to her. I added that I knew for a fact her thread hadn't fallen off of the first page, because there was only two or three minutes between her posts, and it takes a thread a good fifteen minutes or more to fall off the first page. Finally, I asked her not to PM me, because I wasn't interested in getting into a fight with her. I even told her to have a good day, and believe me, it wasn't what I wanted to say.

Of course, she responds! "who said I was going to pm you again? only time I reply back to people are when they reply back to me I said my peace in the very first pm. I love how people do that try to get the last word in then say oh by the way don't pm me I don't want to fight. A) I could careless to "fight" B) all you have/ had to do was move on after first pm have a good night day w.e it is where you reside icon_3nodding.gif lates"

After that, I just put the brat on my Ignore List. It still irritates me, but it's not worth fighting about, you know? The little pest. I swear, sometimes I want to slap some Gaia kids around. I hate the ones who act like they're all that when they're definitely not. Her name is "ichiailc", by the way.

For anyone who wants to know my original post that she thought was rude, I said, "Don't bump in this forum until your thread has fallen off of the first page. It's obviously a glitch, so just wait until the admins have time to fix it." Is there anyone who thinks that is rude?! I swear, some people.

Since you can't see the "silent" rooms anymore, I usually make my own and then lock it once I'm inside. It means you have to play alone, but it's better than listening to morons chatter about sex or begging for donations...
