I've come up with an idea for my own competition. When I get a little more gold, I will start a special game. I will name a game series, and whoever names the most people for that game will be the winner. Each game will go for a certain number of weeks, depending on the game (this will be announced when I enter the new game). Also, for each category, there will be a twist that I will come up with, such as if I say Fire Emblem, you must tell me the character's starting class in the game. The winner will be given gold out of my own pocket after the game is finished. There will be no second place, but there may be a draw, in which case the money is divided. How much gold you get depends on my own funding at the time. After I post a category for you to start naming characters from, you have 24 hours until I may join in the naming. If I am the winner of the game, then I will take the amount of gold promised and donate it to the guild. You may post your opinions about this idea here. If this post is still here in 1 week, I will assume that it has guild approval. Also, here are a few rules:
1. You may not use a character someone else has used
2. You will only be able to say a certain number of characters per post, depending on the game. However, the number of posts aren't limited.
3. When I name a category, I will either say to name people from the game or the series. If I say game, then you may only use characters from that specific title, while series is from any game in that series (ex: LoZ, Tales series, etc.).
4. YOU MAY NOT USE GOOGLE!! You may search the internet, but you may not use google. You must use other sites that make the gathering more challenging if you decide to use the internet.

I will PM Ragnarok Ninja X when a game is closed. By then, I will have counted the number of points for each person (each correct name is a point) and decided the winner. The post will then be deleted. Remember, post here if you like the idea and if you do not want me doing this, have a mod delete this topic.

I said that you can't name the same people as someone else. For some games, I will do that. It all depends on what size the game is (large ones need to be PMed). For those that are posted, its a test of knowledge as well as speed because if someone names a character in one that I have them post replys, then the first to name that character gets it. Also, if I have them PM me the answers for all of them, then how would I fulfill my part in the game. I can't PM myself answers because I may take some from other people (since only I can read them), but I will have them PM me answers for larger games. Otherwise, I will have people post and participate myself after 24 hours. The thing is, if I said SSBM as the game, then everyone could PM me all the characters and we'd have a many-way tie. That's why I have them post their replys and only a certain number of names per post. Also, a bit of these will need research because of the twists that I will add to most of the topics. When i decide to start the competition, I will announce that here and then post the category at 7:00 Florida time on which ever day I say (most likely the day after I announce).

That's why I announce the competition, not the game it will be about. People can look at all they want, but if they don't know the game, then they won't be able to do anything. In a couple days, I will make an official announcement of the start of a competition.
