Yukio emerged from the branches of a willow tree and looked around warily for a moment before proceeding to a river that was nearby for a drink. He was tired, but satisfied that all was well for the moment as his mate had finally been able to snatch some much needed sleep. He would join her again soon, but after he'd gotten a few mouthfuls of this sweet green grass. His ears remained perked for any sound that might signal danger to his mate and his new family. He had a feeling it wouldn't be long before the foals were born.

Ellessar trotted cheerfully through the healthy colored grass. Kin-Sora had sent him off as a little, quite literally, scout. His job was to find sweet berries for them to eat and since Kin-Sora had a bad sense of smell and obviously Sirius wouldn't help them. He wouldn't help his own dying mother, in fact, he'd probably be the one killing her. So, because of all that, it was up to Ellessar and he took his job very seriously.
The miniature stallion wore a bright smile on his face. Despite living with a skinwalker so close to him daily, he looked on the bright side. He hadn't been eaten yet!

Yukio looked up in alarm as he heard some rustling of the lush tall grasses, but it quickly changed to amusement to see a little miniature staillin appear. He, however, didn't realixe it was a stallion till closer observation let him know he must be of the same breed that little Dakota was. He had the same short little legs, small neck, but it was the fact that he was taller than the little brown foal was told him he must be full grrown. Overall, he still looked very cute trotting along on whatever errand it was that he was so intent on, that it make the taller Soquili grin in amusement.
Finally, deciding it was probably rude to be staring this long with saying anything, he nickered a greeting, and called out, "Hello! Beautiful day is it not?" He cocked his head in curosity, wondering what it'd be like to be so short, and inwardly chuckled as he imagined himself constantly being run over by the bigger horses.

Ellessar stopped in his tracks and looked at the much approaching stallion...a much larger stallion. Blue eyes blinked up at the stallion. 'So big...' His eyes gleamed with amazement as he looked up at the other stallion. The stallion shook his head after realizing how rude he must have appeared.
"Salutations~ Yes it is a pleasant day." He replied back. Ellessar's mind wandered on how it must be to easily spot predators or see others from their height instead have to look upward to be able to hold a conversation or having to ask the other soquili to lay down for them to continue a conversation. "My name's Ellessar, pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"I'm Yukio," he answered before laying down in the grass. He was actually smaller than most stallions and knew what it was to look up to others most of the time....that plus he was very tired from trying to keep his mate's spirits up during this pregnancy. It seemed to be a difficult one for her, though the foals seemed to be coming along fine and were active as ever. This also added to his exhaustion since if Daveigh was uncomfortable and awake, she tended to make sure he was too. Not that he thought she did it on purpose, part of it was her constant shifting positions, and the rest her hormones. He'd found himself hoping they'd arrive soon just so he could get a good night's sleep!
Shifting his thoughts from his mate to the little horse before him he asked curiously, "Might I ask what breed you are? I've only met one other like you, but he was much smaller and younger. Dakota was his name....little guy was cute as a button and got the makings to be a great leader I suspect."
