Who: Silverglow and October Where: edge of the swamp, facing southeast Feel: random first meeting, night air tells Numa numa land residents that autumn is coming... a particularly favorite time of year for many numas. Silver had been flying northwards a bit. She hadn't really flown in this direction before, and she loved to fly all over the sky. She landed on a tree. The tree had a smell that was unfamiliar to her, but she could tell even on this one. The leaves were starting to fade from the lush green, to a muted olive color. She looked away off towards the north. She could tell the soil and ground in this area... It was unlike any other area she had thus far seen in the land. It was a curiosity. She decided to be on her guard.
She turned herself around to sit facing southbound. The moon would rise high in the sky soon. Then, it would chase away the remnants of the daylight. She always loved the moment when all the stars came out. She felt like that was a time of day when she was most herself. She let out a relaxed barely audible breath.

October happily strolled about. He had been slightly bored by his brothers and decided to take a walk in the swamp. It always seemed to hold a new surprise with each visit and this particular stroll was not an exception. He looked overhead as he took a large handful of candy and consumed it. The vibrant night sky was all around him. He looked to the brightest star and and saw something there. It seemed at the highest licorice tree that a stranger was resting. He was highly intrigued by this and moved closer. He soon approached the base of the giant tree. There, gazing up at the beautiful night sky, was an enchanting MLP Numa. So, with his casual uncalled for flirting, he yelled: "Hey midnight mademoiselle, what's crackin'?"

Silver's ear twitched. Her head tilted to the side to look down. She looked about. Her eyes spotted a brightly colorful numa on the ground. Of course, from this high up, everyone looked small, so it was impossible to really take in much detail.. boy, girl.. she wasn't quite sure.. but from his tone of voice.. seemed a male...
Her wings flexed out a bit... her mouth formed the words mademoiselle. "Are you talking to me?" She immediately began to worry that it might be rude of her to talk to him by hollering or yelling. She thought it considerably bad manners for young ladies to cause half the swamp to hear them just from loud boisterous talking. This finished her decision.
She fluttered down to a branch that was only maybe a few feet above him. She took in a much more detailed look of him. For some reason, his very appearance made her think of trick or treating... eating lots of candy. Something in his smell reminded her of ... candy corn. She always enjoyed that most trick or treating happened at night. How fun to dress up and get candy for free. "Hello there... Do you need my help?"

October watched casually as she fluttered down to the branch above him. She seemed to be examining his attire and this made him laugh. He laughed with a loud chuckle and then took a large handful of candy from under his hat. Gobbling it down in seconds, he turned to reply to question. "Nah, mademoiselle, I don't need nothing." He gave a large green with his shining green fangs. "How 'bout you? Lookin' for a good time here in the swamp?" He leaned up against the large tree and picked out the sugar between his teeth. After all, he was in the presence of a lady which meant he had to look presentable.

Silverglow looked down. "The swamp? Um... Why? Is.. this the swamp? I guess that would explain why it smells so different from over there." She pointed off to a few yards to the south where you could notice a distinct vibrance in color of the grass and rolling lands. Definitely more aromatic filled with flowers and candy. How much she had to learn about Candyland still...
She smiled friendly and much polite. "That is amazing your teeth are green. I've never seen that before ever. That is a big hat. Does it keep your head warm?"
Silverglow then hopped off the tree onto the ground. She used her wings to help her land gracefully a few feet from October. She then got a better look at him. Oh... he was bigger than her. Not sure yet whether she should feel guarded; she wrapped her feathered wings just a tad about the shoulders. "A good time in the swamp? Do you know of something fun to do?"

He casually watched as the female before him flew softly to his level. He hadn't had much interaction with the "regular numas", but he was always up for something new and interesting. So, he moved closer to her in hopes it would make her slightly uneasy. He loved to see other's reactions to uncomfortable situations. His obviously larger stature brought to her attention. "A good time eh? Well, I don't know nothin' about this area, but if you want to take a stroll with me, then I can guarantee you wouldn't forget what happens along the way." He winked at her with an enticing smile. October didn't usually roam to the edges of the swamp, but every now and then, a straggler came along...

Silverglow wrapped her wings around her shoulders, a common twitch she had when an intangible part of her felt a need for comfort. She listened to him intently. As he moved closer, her ears twitched, and her pupils widened. Suddenly, she felt herself a lot more sensitive to sudden movements. She wasn't sure yet what made her feel that way. Some might call it instinct.
She looked up at him with some measure of courage. His smile made her feel confused since something in her felt a need to protect herself. "Um, not to sound rude sir... but, how can you guarantee me anything if you don't know anything about the area? But.. if you don't go there. Are you sure it's safe? That swampy area has a weird smell. It's giving me a strange vibe."
Still, her inner heed she always gave to being contentious and polite. He had invited her to something even if it was incredibly vague. Would it be rude to turn someone down? "Well, if it would make you feel better to have company. I am sure I could... take ... a stroll. We wouldn't be gone.. real long, would we?"

He took another handful of candy and eagerly consumed it. He didn't particularly like to sleep, so he constantly kept himself going with candy and coffee. With a slight shake, he gained a new burst of energy and quickly felt revived from his fatigue. Focusing his attention on her, he watched as her wings slightly covered her and she moved back from his previous actions. He enjoyed this greatly and again moved slightly closer to answer her question. "Well, my dear, I know of other places that will really give you a kick." He grinned once more and gave her his version of a smile. "Of course, it will only take a little while." He wrapped one arm around her and started to lead her down a dark path, barely lite by the roaming fireflies.

Silverglow felt herself pulled into him. He did seem rather strong, able. She decided for the time being to give him the benefit of the doubt. Sure, something inside told her to becareful. Then again, that could just be a generation of candy numa genes inside of her asking and beggin her to be wise. After all, she had heard dramatized stories from her sister Ness about sorted affairs with coffee numas.
Still, something about this one bidded her. She was finding it hard to say no. Rather then stress over it all, she decided to go like water. She would flow with the situation. As they walked down that dark path, her heart felt inspired by the fireflies. Her eyes roamed up at him. "That... is so beautiful... and, to think it wouldn't look nearly so pretty if it weren't for the shrouding darkness around. Their light would be misspent in daylight." Her wings sliding to her back, relaxing jsut a tad.

October lead his guest down the dark road towards his favorite swamp spot. He took great pride in his rather blunt and straightforward way of dealing with his social companions. He walked slightly slouched and casually as she spoke and shivered. He loved Candy Numas' reactions to his actions and gave a small chuckle as she finished. "My dear, you will find that some of the best things can be in found under the shroud of night that would be horribly wasted under the toiling sun." The dark path laid before them gained an eerie sense as the swamp's mysterious mists began to pervade their path.

Silverglow's eyes widened. The sight of while being eerie, the sight was extremely beautiful. It was unique and something you didn't quite see everywhere. Being a numa who primarily lived at night and in the dark, it didn't offset her as much as it might a normal candy.
"Can you... show me? Some of those things? I would love to see all the best things of the swamp. If it's not a bother.. and if you're not busy... I am sure I would never discover them on my own. You seem to know about lots of great secrets." She looked at him with eyes full of admiration. How lucky it was for her to find a numa who seemed to know of such wondrous things. She also thought the feeling of someone walking with her like that.. It was nice also. Maybe he would be her friend, and they would walk like that again...
