He was quite visible against the green grass with his black and teal coat. He self-concsiously noticed that and shifted uneasily as he grazed, trying to look calm. But his mother had tried spooking them with stories about Kalonas and Skinwalkers. Heh, like they even existed! He flicked his two-toned tail as he mused over it, chewing slowly. His ears were perked, listening for any odd movements around him.
Okay, so he was a little paranoid about those "evil" Soquili. But... He was young. Could he outrun them? He frowned as he stopped chewing to swallow, the food going down his throat harshly. Marius shook his head and went back grazing. What was the chance he'd run into them? He didn't want to, period.
Marius wasn't one to enjoy company much. He didn't necessarily know how to act or do well with others. So... He was perfectly content by himself.

Barreling down a hill Elendighet, Elen for short, was perhaps runnign away from a swarm of bees that belonged to a hive she had accidentally kicked. Bucking in frustration as some seemed to manage to get her she cried out in pain from them. Up ahead was a little patch of water and she leaped the best her little foal legs could right into it. Sitting there for a moment she wated. Soon after her waiting paid off and the bees disipated.
Crawling out of the water she went off in a different dierection. She knew she was close to the meadow and from what her mother had said that is where alot of others where. Elen had not met any others sense she had come out of her containment of the basket. And so her curiousity peekened when her mother told her of this. Surely Spice would not be mad at her daughter if she went out on her own.
Peeking into the meadow her eyes scanned the area. Only one other was there and he was small, about her size, maybe a little taller. She smiled and flickered her tail as he didnt seem to yet notice her. Slowly but surely she began to creep in closer, silently as if almost stalking her prey. She did not think of weather or not he was friendly but she knew she would soon find out.

There was a splash, and Marius's attenion was immediatly drawn to the sound. His head jerked up quickly and he looked over in the direction of the sound out of the corner of his eye, trying to be sneaky. Thanks to his mane, his peripheral vision was marred and he could barely see the filly. He flicked his short mane to get it out of his line of vision. He glanced down to where he had been eating, and swallowed whatever was in his mouth before backing up a few steps.
It was oddly quiet, and when his eyes landed on he creeping filly he realized why. Was she... Trying to sneak up on him? He would have laughed at the thought if he wasn't the quiet colt he was. All he did was raise a brow towards the multi-colored filly questioningly, ready to bolt if she attacked.
She didn't look like a threat, however...

Looking forward she knew now that the colt had spotted her but she didnt care, sh kept quietly stalking towards him. Though it would of been more amusing had she sneaked up on him, she still thought that this could prove to be amusing.Calling out as soflty as her mothers voice,
" hello Sir"
She only knew how her mother adressed strange males and so she would do the same. Giggling she walked closer and smiled. Stopping but a few feet away she waited for him to say something back or even turn to face her fully before she continued to talk. She was naturally quiet but not shy, due to how her parents seemed to rub off on her.

Marius gave her a funny look at the "sir", almost grimacing. Did that mean he was old? Didn't she see that they were roughly the same age. He stared at her, waiting for her to explain why she had crept up on him or why she now stopped. His eyes stayed impassive, sighing as he realized that she wanted him to speak up. Oh why did someone have to find interest in him? Communicating with others... He certainly wasn't all that interesting, really.
He should've been smooth andinquired politely, but his words came out rather blunt, "Is there a reason you're stalking me?" She inquired aloud, staring at the multi-hued filly. He was a bit curious about why she'd just creep up on him, but he'd rather not give her the pleasure.

c**k eyed she stared at him, she didnt think others where so rude, her family never had that tone or a look of stunned suprise on their faces but she shrugged it off and smiled lightly.
" well your another foal and thats what we do? WE sneek up on each other..... Why do you act like a stallion instead of a colt? Your only a foal once you know, lighten up"
She kept her smile on her face as she lightly pawed the ground and whinnied lightly at him as he stood there. She was curious about him from the moment he opened his mouth rudely. She wanted to see if she could get him to act more foalish, once he did she would leave him alone, but for now she was on a quest at that point.

His brows furrowed together, trying to relate to her words. Zevach was the only one who really snuck up on him, and that was to attack him. Eponine did sometimes... But he forgave her. She was his sister, afterall. He glanced away, uncomfortable with the situation before glancing side-long at the filly, "Dunno why." He responded without thinking, flicking his tail with aggitation.
"Is it really all that interesting?" He continued, looking towards the ground before turning his two-toned eyes back to the green eyes of the other foal, curious but a tad annoyed that she would bring up that of all things.

" Why yes, yes it is"
She giggled more as she was getting satisfaction out of annoying him. If she kept this up Elen was sure that he would open up more. Smiling she continued to him,
" Ohh .. my name is Elendighet by the way, no that you where at all interested"
Smiling she looked back with her green puplis orbs, something she had seemed to inherit from her mother but she didnt notice, to her it was normal. She looked into his eyes and he didnt seem like a happy foal aand one could guess that perhaps his parents ddint teach him that it was ok to be silly, or that he was just naturally like that.

He frowned at her giggling before looking off to the side, wanting to roll his eyes at her smile. She was like Eponine. She was persistant and almost on the annoying side. Zevach held first place for that. He turnd his gaze back onto the female, offering a crooked smile, "Marius, Elendighet. I guess I am interested, seeing that I'm talking to you." He responded hesitantly.
It doesn't hurt to talk to another, right?
His parents had taught him to be carefree and have fun, but he had to compensate for Eponine and Zevach. He personally didn't care much for their carefree lifestyles, but he did like how his parents traveled. Oh yes he did...
"It's nice to meet you," he muttered, not sure if those were the right words for the situation.

" If you wish you can call me Elen"
She kept her smile on her face as he seemed to be opening up a little more to her, it wasnt like se was going to bite him or anything. She wiggled ehr nose and snezed as a fly flew upon it and left again.
" Its nice to meet you too... Do you know any other soquili?"
She was curious as se had not met any other foals since she came out and so to her at this moment, sense he was talking to her, it was sort of like having a friend.

He nodded to her nickname, fond that he would not have to call her by such a long name. It would be quite the tongue-twister, and it would be annoying to say such a long name everytime he wanetd to address her... If he did ever. His brows furrowed together when she sneezed, not seeing the fly. He glanced around, looking for the source, before brushing it away from his thoughts.
He was a bit happy that someone thought it was nice to meet him. The dark colt looked away thoughtfully, thinking, "Outside of my family... Not really." He said impassively, leaving theconversation open for her to talk about those she knew.

" well.. we'er both in the same boat then... I have my dam and sire then i have a sister... i havent really eve talked to her or spent any time with her... so im not sure how she is.. what about your family?"
She looked over at him curiously, smiling still as her short foalish tail flicked from side to side in contentment. Her head lowered a bit which showed she was more relaxed and she watched the darkly colored foal. Unlike her who mainly held the light coat. Though she did inherit the snow white and soot black from her mother, she had recieved the tan color from her father.

Marius could relate to not being close to his brother. He was closer to his sister Eponine since she was less annoyaing and didn't attack him on sight. However, his relationship with his siblings was distant, and he secretly wanted to be closer to them. Glancing off to the side, he was reluctant to turn hi gaze back upon the tan, white, and black filly.
"I am closest to my mother. My dad... He's big, and strong. I don't... Know much about him," The words rolled off his tongue as he ealized how little time he spent with his dad. he kept his eyes on a cloud coming over the horizon, "My brother and I don't spend much time with each other. My sister is an exciteable thing..."
He trailed off, uncomfortable and a little bitter.

" Im closest to my mother.. i spend almost all my time at her side, I havent seen my father for a while now but mom promised we would meet up with them soon.. "
She trailed off and looked down. Not really expecting that promise to come through sense her mother didnt even know where her mate was at the moment. She looked away as Marius did, or rather kept her gaze away. The small crickets chirped as the butterflies danced for a little while longer before the cold came in.

It was odd to feel a connection to someone other than his mother. His mother who could not remember her family, was the only one who could relate to his not knowing his father well. But here, this filly proved dfferent, and she to did not know well of her father. He offered a smile, a small, genuine one at an attempt to comfort her.
She was looking away however, and he sighed in an attempt to catch her attention. He would have walked away, but he felt a bit more comfortable now that he could connect a bit more to the girl, "Let's take a walk?" He offered quietly, looking down the stream.
