This is a Private RP between
karma monster (Vera) and Casiopium (Casi)
Setting : Courtyard near Apartment complex A
Weather : Clear skies
Time : Noonish S he probably shouldn't have let herself lay there so long in the sun, she'd known she was going to fall asleep. But Casi couldn't help it... she'd just finished unpacking all of her belongings and it had been so warm and comfortable and dry out here. She'd fancied herself a cat basking in the sunlight as her eyes drowsed slowly shut, and thus she'd fallen asleep.
Barely enough time for a full REM cycle to have come and gone Casi was standing again, eyes open. She began moving, walking as though awake through the courtyard, looking as though she was searching for something.

"Wow, as if today could get any more horrible," Vera muttered under her breath. Unfortunately for her, fate conspired against anyone who uttered anything like that, as if those words were some sort of catastrophic event summoning spell. Luckily for her, Fate was on the more lenient side today.
Instead of the death of an immediate family member or loss of limb, Vera was merely smashed into from behind, causing her to drop her luggage onto her stiletto-clad feet.
Finally sucking it up and actually moving into the apartment complex here was bad enough. The place here was nice, but it wasn't her apartment. Not to mention it was so strange and quiet...
Howling in pain, she swerved around towards the offender, "What is wrong with you?!"

Casi gave a grunt as she ran into something, be it a wall or else in her dreaming state it wasn't unknown but she gave a low mumble and deftly walked around the other woman. She cast about on the ground, looking for something. Finally she spoke, the words slightly slurred. "Where's that cat..."

Vera stared at the girl who had run into her. Well, really it was more of a bump that startled her, but Vera had no issue putting her entrely at fault.
Well, until she actually got a good look at her. Slightly disheveled, almost swaying where she was standing, pretty pale... This girl looked pretty ill once she got down to it. Not to mention the delirious mumbling.
Vera gripped her shoulders lightly, "Are you okay? Do you need to go to the hosiptal?"
Crap, what if the girl was a Sylph? Could you even take them to hospitals to be treated? Maybe she was the once Nikita cared for, he said she was blind. Maybe she lost her cane, tripped down some stairs and was suffering a concusion?
Maybe getting a child wasn't the best choice for Vera. She had such a tendency to get herself worked up over nothing.

Casi moved her head slowly up as the woman grabbed hold of her, and when her eyes came level with her she looked eerily -through- her. Her sleepy eyes were a murky green, slightly glazed looking due to her sleeping state. She frowned, brows creasing as she reached up to fan the air in front of her as though trying to bat something out of the way.
"Where's the cat?" She asked again, this time a little more demanding.

Okay, this was really just getting a little creepy. The blank stare, while unseeing just wasn't something that struck Vera as blind. It seemed like she really was looking at something, but something that Vera couldn't see herself.
Vera wasn't going to play this silly game. Frowing, she grabbed hold of the girl firmly, shaking her to hopefully get her attention, "I'm taking you to the hospital."

Casi gave a start, eyes blinking suddenly she snapped into the waking world harshly, lashing out in fear at being shaken. She made contact with her closed fist against the other woman's shoulder before grabbing hold of her shoulders and scrabbling at them. She let out a soft sound almost like a scream, beginning to shake violently.
Where was she?! What was.. who was this?! Casi looked around wide-eyed for a moment longer before she remembered where'd she'd fallen asleep. She reached up to lightly press her hand over her face, closing her eyes wearily. Her soft gray hair was messy and had bits of grass stuck in it. She spoke with a shakey voice. "I.. I'm sorry. Who are you?" She looked up at the other woman with half-drooped eyes full of confusion and sheepish apology.
She waited for the questions to be asked rather than trying to answer them pre-maturely, that never seemed to work.

Gasping in both pain and suprised, Vera glared at the girl. What the ******** was wrong with this girl? Vera just gaped at her, mind blank on exactly what to say. She had never been hit in her entire life, and she had not intended to have that changed by some crazy girl.
But the human mind is an amazing thing, and already her shock was healing, and anger took its place. how dare she? Vera had actually been trying to help her, too.
"I think the real question is why you just hit me, and what exactly is going on," she seethed coldly.

She looked down, obviously embarassed. The meek girl shyly put her fingertips together in front of her, concentraiting hard on them so she didn't have to look up. "I'm sorry.. I err... I sleepwalk. I fell asleep outside and uh... I guess I, uh, must have... met you." She added the last two words rather lamely. It was kind of embarassing having to explain that she had somnambulism. People usually just laughed and assumed she was making some excuse - most just assumed sleepwalking was something left for the movies and anime.
With a timid glance upward through her fringe of messy hair she gave a nervous chuckle. "I'm really sorry, did I... uh... did I hit you?" Her expression was that of sleepy concern. Her hand -did- hurt, afterall.

Perhaps is Ms. Lachlan was a compassionate individual, she would've felt a twinge of pity. Afterall, the girl did look awfully tired, and seemed just as embarassed and sorry about it. But, at the moment, all her pity was reserved for herself.
"I see. Please refrain from punching me in the future," Vera said acidly, "And I assume since you're in this complex as well that we will be seeing eachother again. I'm Vera Lachlan, you are?"

"Err... I didn't mean to, you woke me up.." She half-tried to defend herself, looking down with definatly more of a droop. She felt even worse for hitting the poor woman now, but she -had- been the one to shake Casi awake! She gave a small awkward nod, sticking out her hand toward the other woman in a desperate attempt to make amends. "Err.. yeah, nice to meet you. I'm Casi Lethe. So you live here, too?"
She looked around the coutyard in a sleepy, mistified way. It was very large and the grounds near the Complex A builed were very nice. She still couldn't believe her good fortune at being able to snag such a cushy home for -free-. All she'd have to do was earn the money needed for food and other necissaries and she'd be set.
Well... having a kid would take a chunk of that out, though. She pondered this after thought with a punch-drunk tired expression, dreamily staring off into space. She forgot completely that she was in company of another, as she had a bad tendancy to do.

Eyebrow cocked, Vera paused. She was fairly sure that when she was woken by people, she didn't punch them. But, then again, she believed herself to be quite sane. Casi's sanity was doubtful in her mind, but she supposed she never really did know anyone who had sleepwalked. Now that she thought about it, Vera thought she might've heard something about not waking sleepwalkers, but she had brushed it off as some silly myth.
Best not do that again.
Huffing slightly, she decided she had given the young girl a hard enough time and answered her more civilly, "Well, I'm supposed to live here. I moved all my stuff in and finally decided to come here. I'm just not sure if this is the right apartment complex. Which are you staying in?"
Hopefully Casi's answer could help her discern where exactly she was, and if she needed to be elsewhere.

"Oh.. uh... I'm in B." She gave a half turn and pointed back toward the B Apartments. The door to the ground floor apartment was slightly open, and the windows had been opened up as well, showing quaint, modest furniture within. She used mostly the things that had been supplied... Casi hadn't many of her own things in the way of furniture to begin with.
"That's mine... left it open so it could air out. Where are you staying?" She looked back at Vera with sleepy interest, head tilted back slightly as though she were too weary to hold it up properly.

"I'll be staying in A. Unfortunately it's been a bit of time since I've been here, so I'm having some trouble remembering which one is which. I'll just ask the young man who runs the desk in the entrance," she mused, "I assume you've met Nikita? I've only seen him manning the front, but there could be others."
Vera glanced over at the building that Casi motioned to; complex B. Well, if Vera was right, they'd be neighbors of a sort. Not that any of the buildings were really that far from each other, but B were the closest. Looking back, Vera had the sneaking suspicion Casi was going to fall asleep again.

She nodded, smiling vaugly. "Yeah, I've met Nikita... he's very nice." She shuffled her feet lightly... now that the topic of housing and Nikita were out of the way there wasn't much left she could talk about.. or... was there.
"Hey, what do you think, uh... of these... Sylphs?"
