"...Blue?"

Blue didn't bother looking over. Languidly sprawled on the couch, the horror movie on was far more interesting than whatever Tsar had to tell him. Shifting, it took his brother three more tries before Blue actually responded. "What?" he barked, pushing black bangs away from his face. Why couldn't Tsar just solve his problems on his own?

"What?" Blue snapped, eyes still locked on the damsel about to get eaten by a large, drooling creature.

"There's a scribble in our freezer."

Blue blinked, finally glancing over. "What?"

Tsar huffed a sigh, staring back in the freezer to make sure the 'scribble' was really there. "Blue, there is a scribble floating in our freezer."

Blue snorted. Tsar must be trying to mess with his head. Unamused, he tossed his head and forcibly settled himself into the couch. "Tell someone who cares."

Tsar sighed. Didn't Blue care about anything anymore? "...ALEX?" he hollered, much to Blue's dismay. Tsar didn't particularly care, as yelling was far less painful that hobbling around the place searching for their roommate. "Alex, come in here! I have something to show you!"

A crash answered the hollared name, the sound of something heavy falling over and banging into something else. On the heels of that noise came muffled and angry cursing in Italian, made loud and more clear as the door to her room opened and the woman herself came padding down the hallway.

Alex had one hand on her back, looking a little cross but otherwise still smiling, even if it was a little sinister due to her grimace of pain. "Yeah, Tsar?" The woman blinked her impossibly green eyes at the man, her expression softening considerably. "What can I do for ya, sweetcheeks?"

The woman cringed again as a scream emitted from the television, turning her gaze to Blue momentarily before fixing her attention on Tsar. She hated horror flicks, as made obvious by the way she stuck her tongue out and squinted her eyes at the disgusting noises that followed the grisly demise of the damsel on the screen.

Tsar blinked and tilted his head, wondering what on earth his crazy Italian could have doing. "...Alex? Are you okay?" he asked, frowning. His question answered itself as she strolled down the hall, looking briefly annoyed before giving him a smile. Tsar couldn't help but smile back, blue eye twinkling. "Do me a favor, babe?" He motioned her over, ignoring Blue's gruesome movie. Once he got out of his field, he didn't care much for blood or adrenaline rushes. Blue didn't seem to grow out of it.

Tsar opened the freezer. "Look, Alex. There is a scribble in our freezer." He sighed. "Blue doesn't believe me. I swear to god there is a scribble floating in our freezer." He stepped away, leaning on his crutches as he waited for Alex to take a look. He wasn't going crazy.

Blue sighed and rolled his eyes. "He's lying. Freakin' crackhead."

Tsar squealed angrily. "M'not a crackhead!" He motioned Alex over again. "See? Do you see the floating scribble!?"

"Scribble?" Alex repeated, looking bewildered. "Is that slang for moss or something?" She followed Tsar into the kitchen, waiting for him to open the freezer and allow her to see just what was going on. The woman never thought the good-natured man to pull a prank of such proportions, so she was quite trusting of him, peeking around the freezer door to see what was within the icy depths.

She blinked, once, twice. A third time, and she made a strange noise between laughter and a grunt. "What in the hell is that?" she asked Tsar, eyes glued to the floating thing. It was...moving, almost pulsing, shifting at her voice. "Okay, Blue, is this one of your...?" Alex discounted his magic almost as quickly as she started to ask the question, for all she'd seen him do was fire based. This was not something he could do.

Her tongue flicked over her lips in a nervous gesture. "Stand back Tsar, I'm gonna take it out. Can't live here without going by me first." She tried to make a joke out of it, but she was a bit unnerved. Scarred but warm hands reached into the icy confines, moving slowly, as though the thing was alive.

...was it? Alex guessed if the thing grew fangs and removed her fingers, she'd worry about it when it happened.

"Yes. A scribble." There was no other way to describe the object that had taken to floating in their freezer. Was it going to contaminate all the food stored in there? ...was it once food stored in there? Tsar shuddered at the thought.

He stayed behind Alex, never a brave one. Once he wondered if it was once food, he couldn't help but ponder if whatever it was...was actually living. Eugh. If it was living, how the hell did it get in the freezer? Oh god! How the hell was it still living in the freezer! "Quick! Alex, save it! It might be freezing to death!" he squealed, unable to bare the thought of killing something by accident.

He shifted backwards as Alex prepared to take it out, whimpering softly. Tsar was less than 'not brave'. He was a downright coward. "Don't hurt it," he whined.

Blue listened to the conversation, shifting as he tuned in. "...what the hell are you guys doing?"

"Scribble extraction," Alex replied to Blue as if it was the most logical thing on the planet. Her hands curled around the orb, and she had the strangest sensation of touch; hot, cold, and yielding, she knew she'd have to handle it both carefully and quickly. Pressing her fingertips together, she used the space between her palms and digits to create a make-shift barrier so she could move the thing without applying too much pressure. The woman backed up, using her elbow to close the freezer, giving a brief shudder from the coldness before carefully releasing her fingers one by one.

Her hands continued to stay cupped beneath the thing, but it was definitely floating. It was all she could do to breathe the word, "Goodness." Her wide eyes shifted between the floating ball and Tsar, awe crossing her sharp features. What in the blazes WAS this thing? There was only one thing she was certain of, and she voiced it clearly.

"Blue, I think you owe your brother an apology."

Blue rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at Alex's smart-alec reply. Whatever. They could play with Tsar's little imagination things, he didn't care. He was too busy watching a SWAT team get exterminated by a killer beast. Haha. Sci-fi movies were so lame.

Tsar watched Alex, licking his lips nervously as she extracted the...thing. He bit his lip and shuffled closer, eye never leaving the strange, floating object. "...what do you think it is?" he mused out loud, eye flicking over to Alex. "Alex?" He watched her for a moment. "What is it?" he asked again. He'd never seen anything like it. Maybe it was really huge lint...but lint didn't float. Was it alive? Did living things float?

"Aw, shutit, Alex. Good part in the movie," Blue replied.

Tsar looked startled. "Alex! What if that thing's...a ghost!" He bit his lip, shuffling backward. Ghosts floated! It must be a ghost!

Alex pointedly ignored Blue's grumpy remark, eyes shifting between the floating thing above her hands and the man in the room with her. "You can't touch ghosts, Tsar, and this...at least has substance. I can feel it." She lifted her thumbs, not quite touching the thing but hovering near it. "Weird. It's...so cold it burns." One hand lifted, touching the air around the ball as though she were petting it.

"I think it's harmless, or else I'd be missing a few fingers. C'mere, at least say hello to our new housemate." The woman certainly wasn't going to throw it away or kick it out, so what other option was there other than to keep it? Her only concern was that if the thing was alive, did it need to eat? Bathe? Did they need to name it and give it a collar while they were at it?

That made her laugh a little. "Blue, get over here!" Before he could protest, she added, "That damn movie is rerunning all weekend, now come here and lend us the part of your mind that isn't contaminated by that filth."

Tsar frowned. It looked like a ghost, or a...what was it? Will o' wisp? One of those glowing, floaty orbs? "Of course it's cold. It was in the freezer." But that still didn't explain what it was. Or how on earth it could possible survive in the freezer and remain relatively unharmed. It didn't have blubber; that was how whales and seals and those giant seal-things with tusks (were those walruses?) survived in the arctic. And penguins had special feathers to keep them warm too, what did this scribble have? All it did was float.

"No!" Blue barked. He was going to stick to that too, but then the movie broke for a commercial. A commercial about tacos, actually, and Blue suddenly discovered he was hungry. Very hungry. So with a great yawn, he heaved himself to his feet and trudged into the kitchen, wondering what might be in the cabinets.

He only offered the...whatever it was a passing glance as he strolled by.

Meanwhile, Tsar and retreated back to the freezer and began to pull everything out.

With a roll of green eyes and a twisted frown of disapproval, Alex moved the ball against her chest, as one might do with a small animal. She didn't bother to waste or otherwise mince words, huffing at the two 'men' indignantly before turning on her heel and marching out of the kitchen. "Fine. It'll stay with me until I figure things out then." She muttered something under her breath that sounded like 'boys!' as she rounded the counter moved into the main room.

She observed the orb that she clutched to her chest, her expression softening somewhat. Speaking quietly, she commented to the freezer spawn, "I guess I'd hide in there too if I ended up in a home with these guys."
