I'm not sure if anyone's posted this yet... but what is up with Tom when he doesn't talk to me and instead says "Oh my, I didn't see you! How can I be at your service, hm?" ... and all the other animals are commenting on his strangeness also.

I presume everyone knows but me and I'm simply missing something but I'll ask nonetheless ^^;

I think everyone in my game is losing their minds because the HRA sent me a letter saying:

"Carly, your room gets

Happy Room Academy"

It surely didn't add up to 0 points... but I am susupecting my entire town is on some form of illegal medication.

So the letter didn't say anything at all? Hehe.
And the extra dialogue is just an added feature.

I've never gotten a blank letter from the HRA before. That's werid.

Like others have said, with Nook (or any of the characters really), when they are sad and you talk to them, you'll have an option to ask them what's wrong and then they just give you a little more info. It's just a fun little feature. If you play enough, they will keep telling you a little more about the problem like a story.

Awh thanks guys ^^

I'll have to give Tom Nook some daily cheering up then.

He's probably upset that I've been banking my mortgage money so that i can give it to him in a chunk... silly raccoon. 4laugh

hey.i think i know whats up with nook....its some thing called an event moment.if you speak to animals at certain days of a year you get whats called an "episode" most animals have more tha one episode...

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, you can talk to working villagers to learn more
about their lives starting on these dates:

2nd Wednesday of January - Mabel and Sable (7 episodes)
2nd Sunday of February - Tom Nook (6 episodes)
2nd Saturday of March - Pelly and Phyllis (6 episodes)
1st Sunday of April - Blathers (6 episodes)
4th Saturday of April - Mabel and Sable (3 episodes)
2nd Tuesday of May - Tom Nook (3 episodes)
4th Sunday of May - Blathers (4 episodes)
2nd Saturday of June - Pelly and Phyllis (4 episodes)
4th Friday of June - Pelly and Phyllis (4 episodes)
2nd Thursday of July - Blathers (3 episodes)
4th Sunday of July - Mabel and Sable (4 episodes)
2nd Saturday of August - Tom Nook (4 episodes)
4th Friday of August - Pelly and Phyllis (6 episodes)
3rd Saturday of September - Tom Nook (3 episodes)
1st Friday of October - Blathers (4 episodes)
3rd Thursday of October - Mabel and Sable (4 episodes)
1st Saturday of November - Tom Nook (5 episodes)
4th Thursday of November - Pelly and Phyllis (6 episodes)
3rd Saturday of December - Blathers (5 episodes)

You must have spoken with the involved characters at some point in the game in
order to trigger the episodes. You need to "befriend" Sable in order to
trigger the Mabel and Sable episodes. You need Nookington's (with Harriet,
Timmy, and Tommy) in order to trigger the Tom Nook episodes. You have to talk
to Pete (after shooting him down with your Slingshot), at least once, in order
to trigger the Pelly and Phyllis episodes. Finally, you need to speak to
Celeste and Brewster before triggering the Blathers episodes.

You must witness the first episode in order to trigger the subsequent episodes.
