Ulamali strode through the stubby, pathetic grass as he made his way toward the small grouping of trees he'd spotted earlier when he'd been standing at the top of that hill. It was midday, and he was sweating bullets out in the stupid sun, having a darker coat, that was; he was very uncomfortable, and even more-so, unhappy. "This is so awfully disgusting." He grunted in a tone that was that of one who complained often enough to have it almost down to an art. "Where'd those damn trees go?!" He cried out in anguish, stopping his walk, and then dropping to his haunches, pouting as he glanced about.

"Stupid...hill. Yes, stupid hill. Those trees must be much farther away than that hill showed me they were." He scoffed, flicking his silver-tipped tail in agitation, and giving what little of a mane he had so far a shake, then laying his ears back, irritated, and shaking his whole body, trying to rid himself of the sticky sweat that clung to his hot, dark fur. "Uggggghhh!" He shouted, standing again and then bolting as fast as he could, in what he knew to be the direction of the trees; though, it didn't seem to be helping, as the running was making the poor boy even hotter than he had been before. Brilliant.

From her spot laying down in the grass, it was almost impossible to see the snow white female, even her pink was hidden, her white looking like nothing more than shine upon the bright green grass.

Both of Chau's pale green eyes were closed, her breath coming in short breaths as if having a nightmare and being unable to bring herself to awaken from it. It wasn't a nightmare, or at least not in the normal sense. It was more like a premonition, though that was unlikely as mortals couldn't have them. Yet it was the only word that could describe what it was she was experiencing in her dream at that moment.

One of her pink dipped paws stretched out and the claws sunk into the ground, peircing the earth with ferocity so unlike her and with a start Chau finally awoke. Nothing was around her, the nightmare that wasn't had only been just that. No more, no less.

Maybe she was cursed to have bad feelings forever, but Chau could tell from the moment her eyes opened that today was going to be nothing but a series of unfortunate incidents that didn't get her any closer to being happy.

Well that wasn't true... she was happy, just her happiness and she had seperated for a little while, adjusting to it all. It wasn't ever day that one found out who they'd end up with for the rest of time, but then Chau was still unsure. He wasn't but she was.

The dark-green furred juvenile grinned as he rapidly approached the trees, now he knew he was at least headed in the right direction. He skidded to a stop, as he'd been running on grass, and suddenly realised that he'd almost run headlong into another lion, lioness...whatever. He huffed and puffed for a second, then straightened up, puffed his chest, and then licked at the fur on it for a moment, making sure it was ruffled up just right, then coughed, and stalked toward her, his sleek, dark fur perfectly in place, though he'd just been running, and his brows furrowed, in just the slightest, a sneer upon his muzzle.

"You know, girl, some people around here don't like it when others lay in their grass." He said, as he came up behind her, silver-tipped tail flicking, impatience. He figured that maybe he could make it seem as though he'd come out of the trees from around her, and the little patch of grass, and either scare her up a bit, or at least get her riled, Ulamali was just like that. He enjoyed teasing. Females, especially.

Lest he not know that she wouldn't hear him maybe he would have gone and attempted to tease another female. However Chau was incapable of hearing any word that he said and with the juvenile behind her, she was altogether incapable of reading his mouth to tell what he was saying.

So naturally it was Hang that raised her voice to tell her of the little male's presence behind her. The very thought of a male getting that close to her without Chau's recognition was enough to send the white and pink furred female into a spin with every inch of her white and pink fur on end. Her white fur was nearly translucent when the sun hit it, so of course when it stood on end in fear and panic it became even worse so.

Males were the enemy, they were wicked and killed and raped and caused cubs that ended with their mother's tears and pain. No, Chau would have none of it unless it was her love, the very idea of a male being anywhere near her made the adolescent bare her perfect white teeth in agitation and desperation.

"What do you want?!" It was almost un-earthly, far from Chau's normally passive and soft voice. The words were squealed out of what sounded like some metal being rubbed together at high speeds. However if one were to look at her paws on the ground, they would see her death grip and that her legs were shaking below her elbow, almost desperate.

Fear, panic, hatred.

Where was he when she needed him?
