THE ELEVENTH WORLD

In this universe there are ten known worlds These worlds all vary in terms of climate, geography and life forms. Legends say that there were six goddesses that once existed. Five of the goddesses each created two worlds for them to govern. Each blessed their world with something different. The six was an outcast. Shunned by others for being the weakest and most frail amongst them. This sixth goddess, alone and forgotten, strayed far from the other five and created one world for herself. A place of unrivaled happiness and comfort. She blessed the world with the gift of hope. She lived happily amongst her creations and even married into several of the early ones, creating lineages of beings with goddess's blood flowing through their veins. The other goddesses found out about the sixth goddess's world and jealous of the perfectness of it, they ordered all their creations to attack the Eleventh World. With the aid of the 6th goddess the Eleventh World managed to survive miraculously. For the blood of a goddess ran through them all. They were more than a match for the other goddess's creations. After the attack the 6th goddess sought out the other goddesses to ask them to stop and leave her alone. The other goddesses, blinded by their jealousy and rage, sealed the 6th goddess into a mortal body, erased her memory, and planted her in the deepest, darkest crevice of one of their worlds. The inhabitants and creations of the 6th goddess, were indignant to the point of madness when they found out that their goddess had been lost. Enraged, they swept through the other worlds and sealed away the other 5 goddesses as well. Using powerful magic that they possessed, they rendered the 5 goddess's bodies into stasis and hid them away deep in the Eleventh World. In response the creations of the 5 goddesses came and slaughtered the Eleventh Worlders. The Eleventh Worlders gave no resistance for they knew that the secret of the 5 goddesses would die along with them. They were slaughtered. Before the other races could claim the Eleventh World for themselves, the portals closed, and with that, the Eleventh World disappeared from existence.

Some still whisper the story of the Eleventh World to their loved ones. Over the centuries the ten worlds have matured and grown. The legend of the Eleventh World lives on through the generations as only a bedtime story. Some say with hopeful voices and bright eyes that the Eleventh Worlders did not all die and that before the armies of the other ten worlds came, a few refugees slipped away through the portals to blend into the other worlds and disappear. The 6th goddess's legacy preserved in their blood. Others say that it is just a fable designed to teach children not to be jealous. There are ten worlds to explore. What will you do?
