Fabric shuffled, ingrediants jingled softly, the rhythmic tapping of a staff. Raistlin shuffled along. He'd left his cabin in search of ingrediants. This place he'd ended up in, was loaded with new and mysterious things in which he'd found very usefull for spell components. The company he'd encountered was a bit...hit and miss. But then again, what place wasnt without its, hit and miss types? He shrugged his frail shoulders at his own mental inqueries. Focus Raistlin.... he reminded himself. now's not the time for reflecting upon lifes ironies And oh, didnt he know irony. His trail of thought was interupted by a coughing spell, his shoulders lurched forword, his frail body doubled, slender fingers clutching his staff. His free hand searched deftly through multiple pockets, in search of his flask of tea. The only thing that helped his coughing fits. Since his brothers departure for various travels, he'd learned long ago to make the tea himself, before leaving, it wasnt exactly easy to make during a coughing spazm.
He took a few sips, between coughs, and waited. After a moment or two, the coughing eased, he could get breath more easily, felt less pained. He wiped at his maw with a cloth, dabbing up the few droplets of blood that had ended up there from his coughs. He glanced at the hankerchief, and frowned. Sometimes he wondered...was it worth it? "Bah, of course it was worth it" he scolded himself, for even THINKING it wasnt, was near blasphemy in itself.
He shook himself out, then glanced around from behind the cowl of his hood. Where was he anyways?.....crap.

Davey hearing some noise a short way off went to investigate. There he found a coughing kitsu who had as far as he cold see coughed up blood."Now what might that be eh? What might be worth yer sacrificin'?" Davey gave a short bow as an introduction, he was a pirate after all and what pirate would give up the opportunity for treasure? He examined the old one trying to get an idea of him

Raistlin's golden hourglass orbs darted to Davey, fingers curled around his staff as he eyed this...strange kitsusagi before him. Luckily his frown was hidden behind his hood. Like the rest he'd seen, this one did not die before his cursed sight. He glanced over to a tree behind the other kitsu, and it faded and died. Yep, his sight still worked. Deft fingers placed the hankerchief back into a pocked, he gave a slight inclination of a greeting. Nothing more then a head bow. He wasnt disrespectful, thats just how he was; guarded. "My appologies sir, i did not realize another was so close" he said with another inclination of his head. A white tendril of hair, fell from behind his hood, another frown.

"Aye, i recon ye wouldn't, I'm not one for land travel much but I can be quiet o' a mouse on land when need beh, don't recon my looks be helpin my case if eh were to be stompin around making all sort o' a ruckus." Davy didn't mention the question again, he would save it for later when he could pry more out of this old one, they were always willing to tell their stories to anyone who would listen especially if there was run involved

Raistlin nodded, taking in the other males appearance. "Yes...i see your point" he said with a twitch of his lip. If it was a smirk or itch, no one would ever know. "I imagine...your mostly a water Kitsusagi?" He asked with a tilt of his head. He still yearned for god-hood, and in doing so, he must know all races and types of these..creatures, that he'd also become. Momentary setback. Nothing more. His ribs contracted, another spasm. He fished out a clean hankerchief, to cover his maw. This one was shorter, and required no tea. A rare occasion, but it happened from time to time. He felt drained afterwords, as his coughing spells often left him. Why couldnt the ailment have left when he entered this new form? Another of lifes ironies.

Raistlin's golden hourglass orbs narrowed briefly. But then he realized, t'was better to have the other underestimate him, then know of his true power. He inclined his head "I'm not much for Ale, but a glass of red wine would be nice..." he said bowing his head softly. "Do you know of a location near by? I've only explored a bit" He said gently

"Aye, thar be one not far from here, near the coast, bit small in my opinion but that also be meaning less people to pester yeh, what yeh say?" Davey smiled, this was going much easier than he thought it would, this guy must be very trusting and in the shade the old guy is in he'd die before he could tell anyone davey stole his treasure

Raistlin's lip twitched, a smirk played on his maw. Davey underestimated him, that was best. "Less people would be better yes..." he agreed "I'm not one for large crowds" he said with a barely audible chuckle. He pointed with this staff "Would you be kind enough to lead the way?" he inquired, not knowing the direction.

"Aye, follow me" Davey smiled heading off to lead the way, a short walk later he arrived at the beach where in the distance a shappy looking shack stood "thar she be" davey smiled

Raistlin frowned lightly, but hey, he'd been in worse establishments. He nodded his head softly "How....quaint" he said with a light chuckle. His robes rustled as he headed towards the shack, once inside he picked a spot in a dark corner. The location would probly please Davey Jones, and in truth Raistlin prefered the shadows, he was still unaccustomed to being accepted. Not that he was accepted. Looks wise, there were worse off, ambition and personality...that, was a different story.

"Aye" davey said gruffly "She ain't much to look at but the booze are a beaut" He went to the bartender who looked about as bad as the shack if not worse and ordered up a bottle of wine and a pitcher of ale then went to the table the old man had picked out and sat down placing the wine bottle in front of him. "Best thing is deh booze be free for me, no sailor be wantin to cross ol' Davey then go out on the sea" he winked at the man and laughed pleased by his own influence on others

Raistlin smirked softly, and nodded ever so slightly. "Quiet a handy talent" the mage agree'd. Where Raistlin was from, he had a similar influence over the other humans. "What happens to those who do cross you?" he asked, sipping at his wine.

Davey leaned in with a wicked smile his tenticles wiggling and writhing "They be 'lost' at sea if yeh know what I mean" He let out a bolsterous laugh "The details vary dependin' on meh mood and how they be offendin meh" he leans back taking a drink, "but whatever it beh their ship will never be portin again, they be lost to Davey Jones locker" He relished the last statement and watched the old man to see any reaction he might have received, if he couldn't get this one drunk, which had yet to be determined, he could frighten the secret out of him

Raistlin's maw curled in a sly smirk. Raistlin was by no means, a stupid kitsusagi. He never had muscle, or looks, so he relied on cunning, and his brains. Oh yeah, and power. He'd already assumed Davey was only 'humering' him, and after something he assumed the mage had. The details were unknown to him, but the details didnt matter. The point was, Davey thought Raistlin had something, something Davey apparently wanted. With that fact alone, the cards shifted. "I wonder if then, my brother has joined your...locker" he said with a faint chuckle. Caramon had a way of offending accidentily. "No matter" he said with a casual shrug, and a sip of his wine. "I doubt he would know the difference"
